[] "As a self-proclaimed Wrestlemania IX enthusiast, I find myself frequently defending what many consider to be an underappreciated gem in the realm of wrestling pay-per-views. While admittedly it may not boast the plethora of iconic matches synonymous with other editions, Wrestlemania IX is just as entertaining as nearly any other offering from the first decade and a half of the show of shows. Because, after all, isn't being entertained what sports entertainment is all about? Let's address the elephant in the room: the infamous finale. Yes, the last five minutes of the event might have left a sour taste for some, but let's not allow that to overshadow the entire spectacle. Wrestling, after all, is as much about the entertainment as it is about the sport, and Wrestlemania IX delivers on both fronts. From the get-go, the ambiance of the event, set against the vibrant backdrop of Las Vegas, resonates with me as a fellow Vegas aficionado. The energy is palpable, drawing viewers into the spectacle unfolding in the squared circle. The commentary team, led by the chemistry and wit of Bobby Heenan, adds another layer of enjoyment to the proceedings. Their banter and insights enhance the viewing experience, making even the less stellar moments of the event thoroughly entertaining. The card itself is a mixed bag, but therein lies its charm. The solid opener between HBK and Tatanka sets the stage for what's to come, followed by a tag match that keeps the momentum going. However, it's the underrated clash between Doink and Crush that truly shines, showcasing the brilliance of classic Doink antics, including the unforgettable Double Doink bit. Sure, there are moments where the pace may falter, but isn't that par for the course with any Wrestlemania? Yet, amidst the ebbs and flows, we're treated to a memorable showdown between Bret Hart and Yokozuna, a match that deserves more recognition than it often receives and, In my opinion, overlooked due to what comes after. Unfortunately, the negative reception that follows, particularly concerning the involvement of Hulk Hogan, tends to overshadow the event's merits. But let's not allow one misstep to detract from the overall experience. Wrestlemania IX encapsulates the essence of sports entertainment, delivering a spectacle that may not be deemed a classic but certainly offers a heck of a good time. In conclusion, Wrestlemania IX may not boast the accolades of its counterparts, but for those willing to embrace its quirks and nostalgia, it remains a cherished chapter in the annals of wrestling history. So, to all the Wrestlemania IX skeptics out there, I implore you to give it another chance. Who knows? You might just find yourself becoming a Wrestlemania IX guy too."

[3.0] "Setting the footage aside, this was still a pretty bad show. Edge/Penta was way too long and faux-competitive - AEW insists on 'epic drama' in so many matches like this, but still gives the predictable winner 99% of the time - this is an established thing now after several years. Unpredictable results would be hard to book but would justify the drama... As it is, 21 minutes when Penta's already well-established and you *know* Edge isn't losing his title is gratuitous. Shibata getting drawn into Jericho's world and getting pinned easily for story reasons, after having 'epic drama' with Ospreay and Danielson - make it make sense. Women's division remains a sideshow even with all this talent and Mercedes is unfortunately really stilted. Samoa Joe cheating to beat 55-year-old Dustin Rhodes? Dustin trying to cheat in his coveted title match, in full view of the ref, like he's a dumb rookie instead of a 35-year vet? What is happening?"

VENY vs Edith Surreal is my favorite match I've seen live and it's not particularly close. Makes me want to give the show a 10. Knowing how poorly the promoter handled absolutely everything though... well it's a real shame."

[8.0] "This show is just getting a lot of hate because of the Jungle Boy/CM Punk footage, bot overall it was very fun episode for me. Even this All In stuff did the job for me in a way that is a good think to put another heel Bucks excuse for why they lost to FTR at Wembley."

[9.0] "I don't know why the rating is so low for this episode. I thought it was by far the best RAW after Mania in so so long. Everything from Cody's celebration to the Rock's surprise appearance to Ilja's callup to Cena's surprise appearance to Roxanne's callup to CM Punk costing Drew AGAIN. Chef's kiss. Loved this episode."

This was an absolute cluster fuck of a disaster, why just why would you show that bloody footage on live TV when ALL IT DID was prove Punk right. This makes nobody in the situation look good and it quite frankly I didn't watch any more of the show after the footage aired because I was so baffled. It was idiotic and Tony Khan and The EVP's should be ashamed of themselves. I've seen many people comparing this to WCW 2001 and while I think that's a tad bit extreme but honestly I don't think they're far off reaching that territory at this point."

[5.0] "This show is pretty polarising because of all of the drama involving the airing of the CM Punk and Jack Perry fight from all All In. On one hand, it seems that AEW have achieved what they set out to do by airing this footage. They made Punk look like an overly sensitive bitch and asshole by instigating a fight with Jack because of a literal 5 second long jab that Jack made at him during a pre show match. This also got people talking about the show, and this episode of Dynamite got a significantly higher rating than it has done in previous weeks. So in that regard, its a success. But there are no long term benefits from airing this footage. Are the people who tuned in to see that footage gonna tune in next week? Are they gonna buy the PPV because of that footage? Probably not. It also really weird from a storyline perspective, as it paints the heel Young Bucks as the good guys who hate Punk for ruining the show and the faces FTR as bad guys who are friends with Punk. The only way this will pay off from a storyline perspective is if Jack gets involved in the match at Dynasty and sides with the Bucks. Anyways, onto the rest of the show, and honestly it's mostly just mediocre. There aren't any standout matches here like there has been in previous weeks and there aren't that many interesting angles here either. The highlights of this show for me were the Joe/Swerve stuff and the Ospreay promo. This was a fairly middling episode of Dynamite, but nowhere near as bad as some of the 1s and 0s here are suggesting, but with AEW running a segment as polarising as running the All In footage, there was always bound to be a lot of tribalism surrounding it."

[5.0] "This felt like any other Wrestlemania Weekend show this year - the goal wasn't to have great, exciitng, memorable matches, instead it was all about selling the novelty of wrestlers coming to the US and putting on a nice little show, that's fun in the moment but very quickly forgettable. Opener and Main Event were matches to watch imo, Nakajima tried to give Rhio a match to remember but it wasn't meant to be this time."

[6.0] "I haven't been to a TNT show in a fair while, and this was pretty good all round. The first 2 singles matches were quite fast paced, although PL Dotson tried slowing things down with his British Wrestling style, as per his gimmick. Scramble match was pretty fun, but hard to see everything all happening at once, kinda felt like KM Lane & Tony Wright were just there to eat the pins though. The Ignition Women's title match was slower paced, but still good. Worst match of the night for me was the tag match, and there wasn't specifically wrong with it, but it did seem to lack heat, as RPD is usually pretty over, and didn't seem as much here. Also Mike Bird was brought in as a suprise partner for him, and that didn't get much of a pop either (and I can't remember seeing him from anywhere I've been previously). The match had some slight crowd brawling, and they bounced off the shutters in one part of the arena, and post match there was a slight tease of fallout between the babyfaces, and this all just felt pretty odd. Maybe if I'd been following the storyline along (and I did miss the show before this, although I was trying to attend it), it may have made more sense to me. And lastly... The UK's Most Wanted explodes! as they clashed here in the main. This also had crowd brawling, culminating in Jackson doing a diving rana from the bar and MVK taking a mega bump on the floor in-front of me. Random odd thing about this show was the ring, not sure if it was weighted down properly, but the corner nearest where I sat would hop up pretty high when anyone hit the ropes or an opposite corner, and it freaked me out, never seen this sort of thing happen at any show I've been to previously. Nobody seemed to comment about it or check it though, so I guess it must have been fine? A good show regardless."

[5.0] "This show started off fine, got much better in the middle but steadily and assuredly lost steam in the second half. the champions at the moment are putting on very unentertaining work, i'm struggling to find a lot of fulfilment in their respective reigns right now. really ready to see a change in the title scene."

[7.0] "Aside from the main event, this is a really mediocre show. There are two or three good matches but then we get a whole lot of garbage segments and matches from the usual suspects and a downright bad co-main. Still, the undercard takes less than 2 hours and the main event makes up a third of the entire show, and that was great. It's a one match show, but that match goes 60 minutes, so it weights in more in the overall score. The undercard is mediocre but brief enough to be tolerable and the main event is worth the wait"

[8.0] "The ratings on this episode are ridiculous as they often have been lately. This was more of a storyline episode than a 'great matches' episode, which tends to happen in the lead-up to a PPV. The show was bookended by a hot angle and great match at the beginning and a good match at the end. There was a lot of forward movement on storylines for Dynasty next Sunday. There was also an excellent squash match between Okada and a man who was an incredible jobber, Cristiano Argento. This guy kept screaming to psyche himself up only to be destroyed with a rainmaker. Very good episode."

[10.0] "Amazing night 2 of mania which Imo made it the greatest mania of all time. Seth vs Drew was fast paced with amazing storytelling, and then punk attacking drew afterwards allowing priest to cash in was great (4.25/5). Final Testament vs Bobby and The Street Profits was a fun match and Snoop Dogg commentating and Bubba Ray Dudley being the ref made this match even better(3.5/5). AJ vs LA Knight was a very solid match, and this really solidified LA Knight on the main event scene Imo (4.25/5). Logan vs Randy vs KO was an amazing triple threat match, and speeds appearance made this even better. I was fine with logan winning as he will most likely hold the title until SS since its in Cleveland (4.75/5). Bayley vs IYO was a classic women's match that told great storytelling and had great in ring action as well (4.75/5). The Main event between Roman and Cody was Imo one of if not the greatest matches of all time. The in ring action, the storytelling, the surprises, made it amazing. Cody winning was the right choice as romans historic reign has finally come to an end and I'm excited to see how Cody's run will be (5/5). Overall WrestleMania Night 2 was an incredible show."

[6.0] "Mainly would consider this a one match show with the banger of a main event. Mechanics vs Balor & Joe was quite good as well with the time given but outside of that the rest was mid. I would also like to make it known that Asuka had carried the match between her and Dana to at least a 5 and was able to showcase why she would soon be the future of NXT."

[8.0] "I WAS originally tempted to give this a 7 rating on this site because the unnecessary footage DID overshadow the rest of the content on last nights show. However, I just REALLY hate this fucking fanbase sometimes. I am giving this show a generous 8 because last nights episode was NOT a 4.46. This is honestly unbelievable. AEW apparently is not allowed to do anything either way. If they respond to the shots, then they are being petty. If they ignore the shots, then they are pushovers. Releasing the All In 2023 footage was definitely NOT necessary. HOWEVER, it did make sense since this was their convenient way of progressing the FTR vs Young Bucks feud, AND this was their vehicle in foreshadowing Jack Perrys return where he will unite with the Young Bucks. Will Ospreays promo was pretty good, and his shots were 100% WARRANTED by the way. Adam Copeland vs Penta El Zero Miedo was a pretty damn good opener. Anna Jay vs Mariah May and Dustin Rhodes vs Samoa Joe (barring that weird finish) were both solid matches. The reunion of Club Venus was wholesome, and Mina Shirakawa kissing Mariah May was a cute moment. Swerve Strickland still continues to pick up more momentum before his inevitable world title in less than 2 weeks from now. The 6-tag match was harmless filler, and Chris Jericho teasing a heel turn was an ABSOLUTELY necessary change for his stale character. Toni Storm assaulting Thunder Rosa after blindsiding her was a good way to add more heat into their feud. Honestly, the rest of the show itself was pretty good if folks would quit exaggerating the situation about the All In 2023 footage. AEW is NOT failing. WCW 2000 WISHES that they delivered episodes of AEW 2024s quality. This toxic discourse will most likely blow over 2 weeks from now. Some of you bad-faith folks in this wrestling community/fandom are the ABSOLUTE fucking worst. I wanted to take away some points, and give this episode a 7 on here; but I am giving this an 8 partially out of spite instead. If this show sucked, , then I would HATE to see an actual terrible episode."

[7.0] "This seemed a rather cut down and sanitised Extreme show by TNT's standards. Not sure if it's because it's shown in full on YouTube? but certainly it's noticeably less-extreme than some I've seen by them, but even so this isn't going to be for everyone. [1st match] Impressive showing by the (then) very young (but certainly not green) Nick Wayne - who gave the champ plenty of scares and wowed the crowd. [2nd match] The teams seem pretty random (or not? I don't really know), but the match was surprisingly good. I'm already slightly worried about how much depth this division has already though, as every promotion seemingly wants to have a women's tag title, and then they realise quite suddenly that they actually need women tag teams. [3rd match] Was ok, am not at all familiar with Jordan Oliver though, and thought he was trying a little too hard to get over with the crowd....He was against Tate Mayfairs! he really didn't need to try this hard! [4th match] This was relatively tame for an extreme division match. The outside the ring stuff was dumb and had too much time spent on it, plus some of it was literally impossible to see. The ladder stuff was very anticlimactic and the finish especially was incredibly rushed. [5th match] A pretty exciting speed team Vs power team size mismatched match. Callum Newman seemed to have plenty of ideas, and his comeback was pretty great, but also he was a bit too much of a spotmonkey at times. Thought Corvin's selling at times was bad also. [6th match] Had similar shades to the previous tag match on the card, but was far less chaotic and had a pinch of strong style thrown in. I'm starting to regret previous negative thoughts about Dean Allmark, as he was great here. [7th match] Very weird match. Lots of comedy and sexual innuendos, before swinging way in the opposite direction when Allie Katch brought a knife to a beer-cans-on-a-singapore-cane fight, and used it on Allie. I'm sure the knife was gimmicked, but still was a slightly disturbing sight. [Main] Would have been happier with a straight wrestling match, instead of it being sidetracked by more outside brawling we couldn't always see, pizza cutter tease that led to nothing, and the false finish. I get that Cardona is a heel and all, but just feel his talent was slightly wasted with this match. I think a mostly good show, even if it felt quite different from usual TNT Extremes."

[8.0] "Night 1 of WrestleMania was very solid with lots of good and great matches. The opening bout between Rhea and Becky for the women's world title was very solid, as Rhea puts on yet another banger mania match for the second year in a row. You also gotta keep in mind that Becky had a 102 fever and had to go out in that cold weather, as well as rhea having a panic attack a couple hours before the match. The fact that both these women went through these things and still put on a great opener is amazing. i felt rhea winning was the right choice, as I don't think Becky needed this as it wouldn't benefit her at all. I can't see rhea losing the title until either summerslam or mania 41 (4.25/5). The 6 Pack Tag Team Ladder match for the titles are incredible. All six tag teams did amazing spots and it was absolute chaos. From R-Truth thinking its a tag match and getting a hot tag, to Johnny Gargano delivering that insane DDT through the table, to JD going through two tables, this match had everything. But most importantly, the tag team titles are finally split. I loved both winners, as awesome truth winning was great for truth to get his mania moment, and I loved theory and Waller wining as their dynamic as a tag team is great. Overall, a banger ladder match (4.75/5). LWO vs Dominik and Santos was a solid tag match that showcased a lot of talent. Huge shoutout to Andrade as he really delivered and looked like a million bucks during this match. Wilde doing his insane dive is always fun as well. I have to say though I was shocked to see Rey and Andrade win this as I fully expected Carlito to turn heel on the LWO allowing Dominik and Santos to win this. It seems this story might go till backlash. Overall, it was a decent fast paced match (3.75/5). Jey vs Jimmy was obviously very underwhelming. First off, this feuds build just felt like it needed more. I understand WWE however for not making this build amazing, as the story speaks for itself, with two brothers just hating each other so much, but with a brother vs brother feud, I felt the build could have just been a bit better. As for the match, it's safe to say this needed a stipulation really bad, as the match was just very dry and slow paced with so many superkicks. An In quit or hell in a cell match could have been really good in my opinion (2.5/5). Damage CTRL vs Bianca, Jade, and Naomi was a short but fun match that was able to showcase everyone's talent in the match. Damage CTRL although losing still looked strong, and Jade Cargill looked great in the time she got in the match. Not much to say about this match, but it wasn't terrible (3.5.5). Gunther vs Sami for the ic title was the match of the night for night 1. It was the perfect match that delivered not only amazing in ring action, but storytelling as well. Sami's entrance with him talking to his wife and kids, to his trainer for the match in gable, to his best friend Owens, made everyone from wanting Gunther to retain, to Sami to win it. The story they told of Gunther destroying Sami, but Sami still kicking out due to his training and hunger of wanting to win was amazing. The ending was booked perfectly as Sami had to use his El genrico brain buster to beat Gunther. It was the perfect way to end Gunther's historic ic title reign, and a great feel good moment for Sami (4.75/5). The main event tag match between The Rock and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes was one of the best tag matches I've seen. Like any Roman Match, it started off with a slow build but when it picked up, it PICKED up. Rock really proved everyone wrong during this match that said he couldn't go in the ring anymore, as he looked great and delivered really well. I loved the brawl outside the ring between these two teams as well. Rock and Roman winning made sense for Bloodline rules and to give Cody more adversity to win. The shot of Cody lying in the ring getting flashbacks from losing at mania 39 was amazing as well. Overall, the main event was banger (4.75/5). Although some people didn't like the crowd at certain times, I think they got loud when they needed to be and that Overall, Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 was a very solid show."

[7.0] "This was an enjoyable episode. Two good matches and a great one. Plus, actual storyline development, which doesn't usually happen on "Road to" shows. We opened with Clark Connors welcoming a debuting Kevin Knight with a good match. Rocky Romero then took on the DKC in another solid match. Finally we got the Match of the Night between Team Filthy and The Riegel Twins and Brody King."

[4.0] "This is crazy how down AEW are falling, the show isn't only bad for this already famous and overly dumb angle where they have shown the footages of the altercation between CM Punk & Jack Perry, something that shouldn't be shown on Television because backstage dramas should stay away from TV, moreover it has been 8 months that this incident happened and they should move on because they look stupid, the worst is that they used these issues to bring heat to the Young Bucks vs FTR, this is one of the cheapest heat i've seen but that's AEW, they are seeking buzz for the sake of seeking buzz and i start to get tired of it. That being said, this is far from being the only bad thing of this show because most of the show is boring and the storyline didn't advance in a interesting way, the Toni Storm segment was hilariously short and felt unimportant like the whole Women's division which has potential but they don't try to do anything relevant about it, i like what Mariah May is doing, she has a lot of upside and is one of the only women who interest me in this roster (alongside Riho and Willow Nightingale) and her match against Anna Jay was solid until a very anti climatic ending, when it comes to the after match, Mina Shirakawa is great but why is she kissing Mariah May lmao ? They are close friends who share a lot with together but they are not in love with eachother lol, pretty weird angle but i assume this is done in the idea to build a Toni Storm vs Mina Shirakawa at Forbidden Door so i get the point but this was weirdly done. Chris Jericho is one of the most annoying act in the roster, he's not longer relevant and whatever he tries to do, he's annoying and his storyline against Hook isn't that interesting, we all know that Jericho is going to end the feud with a win, he doesn't need it but hey it's Chris Jericho, in his mind he thinks that he's still a hot act so he probably uses his creative control at his advantage, moreover, his match was like all the matches he had since a while, boring and interestless despite havingKatsuyori Shibata in it. Oh also another issue is the rivalry between Okada and PAC, the match up looks great but the rivalry is basically. PAC challenges, Okada accepts and attacks him with his unit, nothing interesting but the match up is good so we do this because fans will love it. The rivalry around Copeland, Kingston and Briscoe against the House Of Black is uninteresting, why doing a 3on3 match on the PPV instead of doing a Copeland vs Malakai on the PPV ? Weird, Copeland vs Penta was good but ran too long, there was 3-5 minutes where Copeland was laying on the ground this was boring and it should have been shortened. The only things that are a bit interesting : Joe vs Swerve, they are always good when it comes to telling a story and both are just so good all round. Danielson vs Ospreay : They try to tell something interesting with both proving who is the best, nothing fancy but both are legitimate for this kind of stories and the match is going to be fantastic. Otherwise, this was a bad show and the CM Punk was a mockery of what professional wrestling really is."

[7.0] "Another pretty good show with matches that are not complete garbage or hardcore bollocks and instead they're actual wrestling contests. The biggest part of the show takes the Iron Man Match of course, but everything before that was at least watchable. The opener was just fun with Too Cool once again being the most enjoyable team in the fed, the Triple Threat Match was a fast paced, nicely executed bout and Shane vs Big Show had a great start, but lost some heat later on. Benoit vs Jericho was a refreshing, brutal Submission Match - easily the second best match of the PPV - while DX vs The Dudleys was the only underwhelming thing on there. The main event though kept me hooked throughout the whole thing, but I wish that they didn't brawl so much around the arena. Apart from that and a little dodgy finish it was perfect though with both Rock and Triple H delivering another classic in their rivalry. WWF in 2000 has been on a fantastic run so far."

[9.0] "NXT puts on yet another banger of a PLE. The opening tag team match between the Wolf Dogs and Axiom and Frazer was the perfect opening match as it was fast paced with amazing wrestling overall. Bron Breakker is truly a freak of nature, and Corbin has done a great job of reinventing himself on NXT. Axiom and Frazer have amazing chemistry as a team together as well. The NA Title triple threat is a MOTY contender. All three of these guys put on a spectacle and its truly crazy what these guys can do with their size. Oba winning was a good choice, as I expect him to have a lengthy title reign. I would love to see a singles match between Oba and Dijak in the future. The six woman tag match wasn't anything crazy, but it did what it needed to do. Thea getting the win was the right choice. Lyra vs Roxane took a while to pick up the pace but when it did it was a solid match. Excited to see how Roxane's heel title run is. Ilja vs Tony was once again another Ilja banger. Props to Tony D however, as he really impressed me in that match, and I would love for him to have a heel title run in the future. Then the main event Trick vs Melo was a solid match for a very heated feud. Would have been nice if it went on for just a couple more minutes, but even still it was a fast paced match that showcased both trick and Melos talents. Trick winning was obviously the right choice, and their rematch next week on NXT should be very good. Overall, stand and deliver was a banger of a ple with Imo not a single bad match on the card."

[10.0] "Best ending to a WrestleMania of all-time. Matches and pacing were solid. Crowd was into this show top to bottom. This event embodied what WrestleMania is meant to be. It may not have all the high rated matches, but it doesn't need that to be great. Stories were paid off and it truly felt like a new era of WWE, not just lip service as it has been in the past. Cody vs. Reigns will be one of the most memorable WWE matches ever. That with the celebration afterwards is peak professional wrestling. A story that perfectly blended realism for longtime fans and became mainstream enough for people jump on the band wagon to make it bigger and more special. A pay off to watching Cody walk out of WWE and rebuild himself on the independent. Promoting All In then helping to launch AEW. He comes back as a ready made star. Mix that with Roman Reigns historic title run and being the top heel for over 3 years. Really impressive payoff. The undercard had great stuff as well. Bayley vs. Iyo was fantastic and the crowd loved seeing Bayley win. The Logan Paul match was good. LA was super over. The Philadelphia Street Fight had nice surprises from Bubba and Snoop. The Drew win, Punk interference, and Damian cash-in was a great way to kick-off the show. I really enjoyed this night of wrestling. One of my all-time favorites."

[7.0] "A very good episode of AEW Dark here. All the matches here were good-really good minus the Britt Baker match. My personal favourite of the night was SCU vs Private Party in a non-title match. The weakest parts of this show were probably Joey Janela on commentary (although there was some fun had) or Kris Statlander's post-match comments; the Alien gimmick coming across a little cringey looking back. A fun episode here."

[7.0] "Another great episode this week, the video with Julia was one her best, the interview with Moné keep teasing us, Mariah May and Anna have such a great chemistry (Anna's really improving ! ). Adam vs Penta was very good, Penta is such a smart wrestler, he adapt his speed to perfectly match with Adam's one. Joe vs Dustin was a great way to end the show, we're so hype for the match with Swerve. Billy is truly the goat. And the "infamous" bts with the Buck was a very smart way to keep us entertain with they storyline with FTR and it was a good way to reintroduce Jack Perry. And finally we all have seen how much CM Punk is a liar and a coward."

May/jay match was really enjoyable and liked the toast opening and the closing angle. PAC okada is really exciting, liked how they wove the wembley stuff into the storyline . Jericho stuff is starting to win me over, but still isn't something I'm too invested in"

[2.0] "Very poorly booked episode of Dynamite. Starting with Swerve attacking Samoa Joe. Threatening to take away Dustin's match. How does that make Swerve a face? The obviously bad All In footage. So much has been said about that, but it was embarrassing for the company. The Will Ospreay line about triple H felt out of place. Petty stuff that worked in the attitude area, but now makes the company look small when they continue to lose the wrestling war and focus on a guy who hasn't worked for them for 8 months. The ending angle with Swerve and Joe was good. The Penta vs. Copeland match had some highlights, but this particular show is over shadowed by the negatives. It felt like for the first time that AEW was really headed in the wrong direction."

[7.0] "Thought that it was an alright show, the vibe for the first hour was kinda off, leading up to the Young Bucks promo and showing the footage, which I honestly thought it was a great way to tie it into the story and provide some heat to the FTR vs YB 4, the promo by FTR after was really good as well. The wrestling itself wasnt as good as AEW is usually known for and have come to expect."

From top to bottom the show was just incredible from Drew getting his moment to one of the best MITB cash in's of all time to a fun street fight to a classic wrestling match between Knight and Styles to an incredible triple threat for the US title to an amazingly told story about Damage CTRL ending with Bayley finally getting her WM moment and of course quite possibly the the greatest wrestling match of all time with Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns. Just fucking perfection."

[6.0] "This one definitely divides opions and probably for good reason. Let's get the big one out of the way. I was surprised that they showed the Punk footage and then not surprised at all once it was clear it added nothing but the final confirmation on what happened that day. I'm not saying that scuffle was staged but it was one of the fakest looking real "fights" I've ever seen. Both guys fought exactly how pro wrestlers do when they're pretending they want to kill each other while others hold them back. Neither guy really came off looking good but it also really didn't seem like a big deal, either. It looked like the kind of thing most guys would move on from, shake hands, and laugh about later. Showing it was Russo-esque, which I'm not fully against so long as it makes sense within the show itself. The Russo approach isn't entirely wrong and I don't hate is so long as it stays above ridicuous match-types, has a long-term plan, and doesn't require scouring the net to make sense of references. I'm kind of neutral on the angle itself but maybe leaning more positive. AEW needs stories and I'm glad they're putting one together for this tag tournament final. Linking FTR to the Punk and Perry thing is a little bit of a stretch but it doesn't seem too out of character for The Bucks (in kayfabe), who come across as paranoid and bitter losers. The show started with Swerve jumping Joe, then a video package for Trent and Orange, then right into Copeland vs Penta. At that point, with the looming Wembley drama, the pace was really high and I thought we were in for a really memorable episode. Then Copeland vs Penta really slowed down during the ad breaks. It picked up by the end but I wonder how many people tuning in for the Punk drama would have stuck that one out. Mercedes and Marvez were like a pair of wooden dolls and the Mina post-match part was cringey, but stories were taking shape in this episode, including the thread of Joe vs Dustin, and I didn't hate that about it. Not a good episode for wrestling but it didn't feel static as other recent episode have. Things feel like they're moving again."

We opened with a Match of the Night between La Rebelion and Abismo Negro Jr. and Taurus. The following match between El Hijp del Vikingo, Psycho Clown, and Rey Horus and Gringo Loco, John Hennigan, and Sam Adonis was also quite good, but it lacked the cohesion of the opener."

This has brought justification to all the aew haters out theres. Tony Khan is an idiot. How can you think this angle would work. All it has done is damage the reputation of the company now drawing comparisons to 2000 wcw (anyone who says that btw hasnt been around for that shitshow). Just look at Schivone's reaction to it. SOOOOO DUMB. I hope with all my heart that it was that dumbass Tony Khan that told Will Ospreay to take a shot at Trips cos Ospreay is doing the best work in the business and doesnt need these petty shots to get over. This ruined all other angles and matches in the show and AEW didnt even have an absolute banger of a match to entice people to watch. Complete garbage from a company that was having an amazing 2024. Tony please take a backseat cos this is is some IWC pettiness that has no place in wrestling. Such a let down to all us AEW fans. Beyond Disappointed"

Okada has been an excellent new character for AEW, his heel mannerisms are great. Let's not forget Mina Shirakawa debuted on AEW television! The airing of the All in backstage scuffle makes for a great kayfabe reason the Bucks lost to FTR there and should be used as a vehicle to bring back Jack Perry to AEW as his scapegoat persona. Charlie from Wrestlepurists brought up a cool way to include an Edge and Christian reunion in this Evil EVP Bucks storyline by drawing upon Perry and Christian's prior rivalry. Ospreay has also been a delight on TV, his promos are fiery and great."

[7.0] "Easily the best of the big five WWF PPV's in 1997 for me because of the good cage match opener between HHH and Mankind, the strong character moments all show with a big moment where Shamrock snaps after his DQ defeat to the Bulldog which began a memorable character change where he attacks him and then attacks the officials afterwards and of course the outstanding Bret Hart vs Undertaker main event match with the controversial ending setting the main event picture down for the next few months where HBK accidentally clobbers Undertaker with the chair before being forced to count the pin. Unfortunately the one thing this show is most remembered for was Owen Hart botching the piledriver on Austin which was a sad ending to what was a great match beforehand. Most of the matches was fine with the focus more being about pushing storylines and angles forward, but this does have a total DUD on the card with that terrible 8 man tag match."

[6.0] "Not one of the worst shows ever as some people are trying to claim (and definitely not the beginning of the end or whatever) but not great either. The matches we got were pretty decent but I would've liked more of them and less talk. FTR and the Bucks did the best they could with the hand they were dealt but it's hard to feel it was worth showing the footage. Apart from neglecting to mention that he had to be held back by two men while trying to either jab his finger in TK's face or grab him when he was telling/screaming at him that he quit the whole incident went down pretty much as he described it, or at least as far as we can tell without audio. If it wasn't going to change anyone's minds why show it? Again, the talent did their best to work it into an angle in a way that made sense but I really hope that's the last we hear of it. I've heard enough about CM Punk to last me 20 lifetimes and I definitely don't need to hear his name chanted by a crowd in AEW ever again. Ospreay's shot at Triple H was justified by the shot Triple H took at him last week, but it might have been better to do it on twitter, not sure everyone watching knew why he was doing that. Was funny though. Hopefully we can get back to concentrating on wrestling now, that's what I watch AEW for after all."

I'm not saying it's unwarranted either, as it did seem like it was the only thing they were really promoting before hand. I didn't hate showing the video but I didn't like it either. The rationale was not obvious at all, but I'm open to the idea that it might make more sense later. I think it was the Osprey comments that bothered me more.I think the Buck's being heels justifies there actions a bit more but Osprey? Not against the words in general but why not save it for own press conference? This will relate to the Punk/Perry video too, but I really don't want AEW to go down the road of having to react to any comments made by anyone in the WWE on their flagship show. Their roster is already stacked. They don't have time for this stuff. I did feel pretty down about this event but I think the main reason was how little action there was. I know the Edge match was longer, but I couldn't believe we were hitting the hour mark on the second match. AEW - please go back to your routes."

[6.0] "Hmmmm. I'm not sure how to judge this episode. On one hand the matches leading up to dynasty are going to deliver. The Mariah may/Anna Jay match, the FTR promo was very good, i did enjoy the main event for the most part, Will osprey responding to the criticism was well done and the edge vs penta match was some good pro wrasslin. Now the most anticipated part the all out brawl. Now I can understand in story sense that Yung Bucks are saying this brawl is the reason why they lost the match and couldn't focus. I'm not sure in story context if releasing the footage was beneficial to the story because I feel they couldve told a better story without having the all in brawl be a focal point of it. It makes punk look credible (even tho he still wrong for putting his hands on his cowoker), doesn't make jack perry look that much better and it fuels more fire to the Anti-Aew agenda. Is this the WCW 2000 moment? No. Is this the final nail in the coffin? No. If WWF can survive a huge Sexual misconduct lawsuit, AEW will be fine. Besides that's decent show could've been better and will be seated for next week!"

With how everyone has been talking about this show I feel like we were watching 2 completely different products. The part everyone is talking about was some true blue attitude era type shit in all of the best ways. Copeland v Penta was very good and it was cool to see adam just do lucha shit. Mariah May v Anna Jay was alright and I would've liked for it to be longer but for what it was it did basically everything u'd need it to. Joe v Dustin was top tier and genuinely had me believe that dustin was going to win the title on multiple occasions. Hope they use dustin more as every time he's had a title shot the match has been great. The promo work on this show was dinger after dinger, FTRs promo will probably go down as a all timer in there careers and ospreys shot back at you know who was fun. The main thing holding this show back was jericho being on my television screen and I do not understand the logic of getting heat for the young bucks right after airing the all out footage. Also this show has ruined wrestling twitter probably until dynasty lol."

Cope and Penta had a great match that I didn't expect to ever see, Swerve and Joe's story is fantastic and I really enjoyed seeing Swerve come out on top and having Joe's number not once but twice. Ospreay is the best wrestler in the world and can cut an fantastic promo. He's the full package. Mariah May's story is getting more compliicated and I look forward to seeing where it goes, Toni Storm is always entertaining and it still amazes me how great Dustin Rhodes is after 37 years of hard work. I think it was a good entertaining show. I'm happy to have seen the footage, theres no more speculation about it. I think nearly everyone has missed the point and think that behaviour from a top guy, at the start of their 1st "wrestlemania-like" show is acceptable when really, it's unbelievably unprofessional despite the claims of professionalism from Punk. Imagine if Reigns behaved that way backstage? Or if Hogan pull this shit before Wrestlemania 1? I'm not sure releasing it on TV was the best idea but I won't pretend that what I saw in that video was acceptable. TK has learnt a lesson, like Vince did when he ran the Katie Vick angle. Move on."

Copeland/Penta was the highlight but every match hit for me. It was nice to see Shane Taylor Promotions pick up a victory. I was hoping for a longer Okada match, but it is what it is. I'm glad the main event went on after the bait and switch at the beginning, I'm a big Dustin fan so it was nice to see him shine a bit. [1.0] "This episode failed professional wrestling. Not only do you are that CM Punk footage that entirely corroborates his Ariel Helwani interview, but it makes Jack look like an asshole, it takes attention away from your world champion, who was in the clip breaking up the fight, you got people talking about Chris Hero more than Mariah May and Anna Jay, WHO WERE WRESTLING ON THE ACTUAL SHOW, THE WRESTLING SHOW, ABOUT WRESTLING. It sucks! It's 2010 WWE RAW, it's 1999 WCW, it's those horrid Dixie Carter-EC3 angles they used to run, it's everything that makes this business less great. Also, that Will Osperay stuff wasn't great, but it does make sense for his character to be kind of obtuse, so I will give that a single point (plus Adam and Penta did work a soft banger, let's not be obtuse, ourselves). It was a stupid promo by Will, but one that was contextually relevant on one of the most misguided shows in professional wrestling history."

[2.0] "Absolute joke of a show that was incredibly entertaining to laugh at. Not only did you centre the enter show around a guy that is in a different company, but he hasn't been here in 8 months. They showed footage, that CM Punk already admitted to, and was 100% correct on, that the Young Bucks weren't even involved in. They tried to spin some dumb angle into this, that also just makes the Young Bucks look even more like goofs, when I didn't know that was possible. The rest of the show wasn't any better, you have the legend Katsuyori Shibata doing some ai generated translator gimmick, which was actually the only entertaining part of the show but he also ate the pin in a team with a 50+ year old and a guy who has had the same gimmick for years and says one sentence. This should open your eyes to what you're doing with your product. Will Ospreay cut a lame "shoot" promo on HHH for some reason, and everyone was assuming HHH was taking shots at him, but if the shoe fits, I guess. Jericho being absolutely insufferable and egocentric when he hasn't had a good match in years at this point. The Young Bucks getting CM Punk chants during their confrontation. A 55 year old getting a title conteder's match. Just what has happened to AEW? P.S. Every single match here fucking sucked. So much for the company that puts on "bangers" every week. Glad the Women's division is the most entertaining thing on AEW now. Good for them."

[7.0] "This was a run of the mill "bad" AEW show. Basically nothing happened after the opening match, the outcomes were predictable, but it was still a fun watch. We opened with a very good match from the Tag Team Tournament between FTR and Top Flight. PAC then continued his return from injury by squashing Encore Moore. Lion Hook took on Shane Taylor Productions to set up Lion Hook vs. Shane Taylor Productions next week. I feel like that feud isn't going anywhere. The House of Black took on the jobber squad of Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydel, and Bryan Keith in a surprisingly enjoyable match. Yuka Sakazaki returns with a good win over Trish Adora. we then get the "Dear God, Why? " Match of the Night as Claudio Castagnoli gets five minutes with the Butcher. It's better than it could have been, but anything else would still have been better. Even another Lion Hook promo. Finally, Alex Abrahantes brings us our Match of the Night, as Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander put on a lucha clinic."

[] "For the 2nd week in a row WWE has really got AEW distracted last week they had Copeland come out to make a "why can't we be friends? " While talking about how great AEW is instead of making a promo against Malaki Black to build more heat for their match, this week they did the attack on Punk, which does work as Young Bucks are known to hate Punk so turning it into a heel promo was actually kind of interesting especially with FTR being such good friends with Punk. The problem is immediately after this Ospreay threw an attack on HHH for marrying Stephanie mcMahon, which was weird as why would you attack a person for loving a person? Sure it is his boss's daughter, but love is love we can't help who we fall for. This was somehow something he had to get off his chest. Even worse Ospreay is supposed to be a face not a heel so the promo with Ospreay attacking someone not in the company yet alone as a face was really bad decision by Ospreay and his persona within AEW right now. AEW needs to get back to focusing on AEW and making their product the best it can be over letting another promotion ruin their show without them even trying to ruin their show."

TK should have had at least one 5* dream match that he knows when to put on the show sometimes (a Danielson or Ospreay match could have done the job. A single (and bad) women's match, bad women segments (the whole mercedes thing looks a lot like they have no creative for her, how is that possible she's top5 best women wrestler on the damn planet ! ) The Jericho match was an instant 1 for me, no story, Jericho looks so bad, Hook looked uninterested, Shibata looked weaker than usual and Shane Taylor Promotions looked out of place. A whole show without BCC felt long and tbh quite uninteresting, Okada's match was pointless, Copeland looked kinda weaker than usual too ! He deserved a better opponent. I didn't pay much attention to online outrage about All In video. It helped to make jungle boy's return possible so I am all in for it. Great promos, nice timing and great segments really. My only criticism is that Dustin Rhodes, Penta, Argento, shibata, shane taylor promotion had absolutely no business to be on this show. One or two wrestlers are fine but having so many wrestlers on a show who have no business with PPV is what drove me away as a viewer last time.. AEW should try to include only those wrestlers in the matches who have a storyline at PPV. Matches become boring and meaningless otherwise."

[3.0] "The show was deeply disappointing. Little to no actual story progression, and the matches on offer tonight were middle of the road, nothing special kind of matches. Joe and Dustin were the highlights of an otherwise forgettable night. The lowlights were obviously Young Bucks airing the All In footage as it served no purpose except put over a star who is in another company. Ospreay taking a shot at, once again, people who have nothing to do with AEW right now - with a clearly uncomfortable Renee Paquette standing right next to him wasn't needed either. He should have been promoting the match with Danielson at Dynasty. Confusing booking. Also, the booking of Mercedes Mone is laughable. She is not a great promo yet TK keeps insisting on having her talk for minutes on end every week. The promo tonight felt awkward, unnatural, and stiff. Tony, hire a booker, PLEASE!"

Firstly, they made Jeff Jarrett, THE WORLD CHAMPION, lose CLEANLY in two minutes and they made look like a complete joke as well after the match. Then you have Russo appearing to have super human leg strength to avoid tapping out to a Figure Four (as RawIsJericho mentioned, it lasted 70 seconds). And then you have whatever that main event was which still baffles me. And all of this was to build up to The Great American Bash that took place six days later? It was far from awful imo, 6/10 is listed as "satisfactory and I think it's the perfect word for it, it did its job as a TV show, but without the obvious thing here it would have been very forgettable. The opener, main-event and May vs Jay were all good matches, and the six-man wasn't too bad but it's a Jericho match so my investment in it immediately dipped. The Mercedes stuff was lame though as it'll still be another month until she finally wrestles. Ospreay's promo was good, the shoot on HHH was probably unnecessary but I thought it was entertaining and it was only like 30 seconds on a promo that did its job of hyping up his match with Danielson very well. As for the footage, showing it didn't serve any purpose imo, but reading some comments and some things on twitter you'd think it was the worst thing to ever happen on a wrestling show. It was stupid to show it, I totally agree with that, and I hope they never do something similar again, but no it won't turn AEW into WCW 2000 as I've read, and no it also won't be the end of AEW. For anyone except the usual tribalists, it'll probably just be another bad angle that we'll laugh about in a few months, like there has been about a gazillion of through the history of pro wrestling."

All it did was prove that CM Punk was right and gave an accurate account of what happened at All In. Then they follow it up with Ospreay talking about Triple H. Who is Ospreay wrestling at Dynasty, Danielson or Triple H? Renee looked extremely uncomfortable with promo and I don't blame her. What exactly were they hoping to accomplish with that footage? All they did was prove Punk right. And the meta FTR promo was just... why? Why is Tony Khan so fucking goddamn obsessed with the dirt sheets and social media nonsense? Just book your fucking live-action TEW game and *leave the shit alone*. The Ospreay promo was just as bad, reacting to Triple H (checks notes) repeating something Ospreay said first himself. The tired old "you're just BANGING THE BOSS'S DAUGHTER" chestnut should be made a felony. You're the best wrestler in the world, bruv. You should be above this petty crap. It all just reeks of WCW 2000, and coincidentally Tony "Butts in Seats" Schiavone is here for it again; his reaction after the All In stuff is equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. As for the rest of the show? Meh? Cope vs Penta was pretty good, while the Lionhook stuff is already boring and uninteresting. I mean does anyone give a shit about Chris Jericho anymore? Also this is Ogogo's first match on AEW in 3 years and they have Shane Taylor be the guy to knock out Shibata with a right hook? Like, y'all, that's a fucking layup. Are you trying to get Ogogo over or not? Okada had an enjoyable squash and his match with PAC will undoubtedly slap. Unfortunately they're now also tied up with this Tony Khan vs CM Punk feud tough. All the women's stuff was back to back to back, which felt awkward. AEW once again falls into their old trope of "here's some random wrestler who has zero exposure on American television, now they're super important because they were a big deal somewhere else and Tony Khan likes them", only this time now there's some HLA. Mercedes Mone is about as interesting as a lecture on 13th-century agrarian economies. I genuinely don't understand how they've dropped the ball on her so hard. And it's still gonna be an entire month before her first match. Main event was a match. Cody finished his story so now Dustin needs to get his shot, except nobody on Earth or any other planet expected him to win and of course he didn't. Swerve vs Joe is progressing nicely and Swerve absolutely needs to win at Dynasty. Hopefully TK makes the right decision. Unfortunately that's not exactly been the norm recently."

[2.0] "Oh my God, that was SO bad... The entire segment with Punk and Perry's tape was used as a ratings bait that completely destroyed the company's credibility. The Young Bucks' entire promo sounded like an excuse from crybabies. The only thing that saved this segment a little was the FTR's part, but even they had to work around the idiocy of what the Young Bucks delivered, so they did the best they could. But even leaving out that whole embarrassing part - almost all of the wrestling on a show that bills itself as "good wrestling matches show" - was boring. Edge tried to show a sub-lucha style that was unusual for him and fought for 20 minutes for the secondary title. Perhaps the most terrible and ridiculous promo segment from Jericho that I have ever seen in my life. Mercedes Mone, who has become the biggest and most expensive woman in wrestling, announced that she wants a secondary women's title that no one cares about... literally the only thing I really liked about this show was the short promo by Will Ospreay, and I don't understand why was he allowed to enter the arena as a random passer-by jogging when he should be their big babyface star."

[4.0] "This Dynamite was very weird, of course the only thing talked about was the Punk and Perry Wembley tape, a stuff that as I said before, if not made Punk look really bad, they shouldn't show, and it didn't made Punk look bad, so it was a mistake, nobody approved that, even the wrestlers felt uncomfortable, Schiavone face says it all, dumb decision. The Ospreay promo about Triple H was great, because Ospreay is great on the mic, but unfortunately suffered the hate for being right after the All In tape. The show had four matches that weren't bad, but weren't incredibly good as well, very regular, and some other awkward things too happened, a forgettable day in the office."

If you think they didn't mess up, just watch the Okada segment when fans were chanting CM Punk. The FTR promo was forced garbage just like Adam Copeland's. I feel sad for Swerve who hopefully is about to become AEW champion, but even that will be overshadowed by this nonsense. The worst part about the footage, is they just proved CM Punk right, giving validity to any future statements he makes about the company I love. What an awful defensive decision Tony khan booked. Osperay is also fighting Bryan Danielson in 10 days, a match that I should be looking forward to with weeks of build, there was none of that tonight. Instead another defensive promo, because Will was hurt over HHH's comments. Such a petty episode, the worst episode of Dynamite I've ever witnessed, it felt like Vince."

Very good opener for the hardcore match, Jack has been a tremendous champion, the dream match with Aigle Blanc and Mike Bailey is the best match I've ever had the chance to see live and the main event between MBM and Joey Janela was on another level. You can feel the hate between this two and the match was fantastic. Overall great show and a special mention for the entrance stage that was very impressive."

[6.0] "The show was decent and the in ring action was good. AEW is a company that guarantee very good wrestling. The footage of the ALL IN altercation with Punk and Perry was not worth being shown. [1.0] "AEW has officially hit their "finger poke of doom" show. They will never recover from this, from the baffling decision to show that CM Punk described the Jack Perry incident accurately, to Will Ospreay embarrassing himself on a promo, this is the beginning of the end. Tony, I know you will read this so I am saying this directly to you: Please stop trying to be the booker. You are not good at this. You're good at booking PPV matches, but week to week you are not good at this. Please hire someone to do that for you, someone with loads of experience, like Scott D'more or someone like that. Please. AEW is good for wrestling but you've made it into a joke with last night's episode."

I wasn't sure about showing the footage before the show but they did a good job with it.. They closed the Punk story.. Gave Jack Perry story and built his return.. Pushed FTR vs The Bucks to a new level.. We all know FTR vs The Bucks was goona be the match for the PPV but most of us want new tag teams to win the belt.. Now this story got heated and a most watch feud + To the people who complain " AEW doesn't do stories" How about this as a big story? .. Ospreay did a good promo. 6 man tag was fine. Okada in AEW still feel weird to me. May vs Jay was my highlight of the show. May is one of few wrestler who when you get a match with you shine. Jay in 2024 having her best in ring work. Mina Mina Mina! Mina in AEW is a dream come true and her feud with Storm will be so good. Mina debut is the highlight of the week to me. Joe vs Dustin wasn't a fan of it.."

[8.0] "Choosing to roll this footage only made each side dig in more and the WWE side is bigger because it's more popular. I would say that alone was probably reason enough to NOT show the tape. That said, the show had some really great moments. Swerve and Joe feel heated up now. It's cheap, but an opener like that is always fun, and the show felt messy in a good way for it. Adam Copeland is wrestling like he's in 30s. The power slam to the apron looked brutal. Great showing from Copeland and Penta for sure. The trios match was fine and hopefully this Jericho stuff gets moving. Toni is funny as always, though I do fear for the Dynasty match being boring as usual since her new character arrived. People don't want to boo Toni. She's too funny. Mariah vs. Anna was awesome, and Mina will be surely gather a large simp following. Main even was pretty good. Dustin rules as usual, but you always know he's going to lose. Also, Ospreay killed it in that promo. The Tape: Pretty much what I expected. Your interpretation of it will pretty much go along in the tribe you're in, unfortunately. Hopefully this is over now."

[4.0] "Gonna say this, the in ring product aside from the six man tag match was good, but the Lionhook match had a bullshit ending... and also... that footage that got released for no reason in a storyline that makes no sense whatsoever, that's the issue we're dealing with here. This isn't a bad dynamite in terms of in ring product, but the Young Bucks segement was terrible and might've been worse if it wasn't for FTR cutting a hell of a promo to make that entire segment passable. Ospreay's shot at Triple H was unnecessary and Tony does not look good. 4/10 show, in ring product was good, FTR is great, but AEW somehow bullshit themselves out of a decent show."

[7.0] "Pretty standard show that didn't have that top tier moment to elevate it above. All of the matches were solid, even the squash. Okada's facials when he is beating up geeks are amazing. So much personality. A solid show being review bombed for a questionable promotional tactic. I kinda like the meta angle that the Bucks are doing, where the heels are actually the faces and vice versa. It's not a good idea in practice, but in theory it's fun. Regardless, they should have known the internet would respond to footage that was exactly what everyone knew it was as a bait and switch. Dirt-bag assaults subordinate at work; why bother?"

From Ospreay absolutely awful promo, which they tried to hide as a promo against danielson, same for the punk footage, dude you can just show them, no need to justify it on a storyline. But everything was so low effort, everything. The start, every single promo, match, sometimes i think aew is coming back, it definetly is not. But i guess it worked the purpose they were behind, or whatever TK had in mind, which seems to please the most toxic community i have ever seen. This company makes me less proud of being a fan every day"

[7.0] "The in-ring work was largely solid in this episode, with Copeland vs Penta being the Match of the Night. All of the angles for Dynasty were advanced in good directions, and the card is full of matches with good builds. I especially like the inter-gender angle with HoB and Cope/Willow. Confirmation of Okada/Pac is also quite welcome. I'm a little worried about Storm/Rosa from an in-ring perspective but all the other matches should be "good" to "great." I might be in the minority, but I liked the Ospreay promo in that he's being himself and he's justified in defending himself (i.e., just because the other promotion has a lot of fans that will shout him down doesn't mean he wasn't speaking the truth). I'll reserve judgment on the Young Bucks/FTR angle until the payoff at Dynasty, but I *do* like that it added some heat to their feud beyond "Who's the best tag team? " and I'm more excited for their PPV match now."

[8.0] "This one is a blast from the past. I searched for this show not expecting to find it. The main draw for this show was actually the unlisted "Master". He was a regular guest on the local cable access show Talking Wrestling at the time. He was just a local kid trying to do an over the top karate fighter/ mystery man character. The show was traditionally your standard wrestling discussion/ call-in show, but at the peak of the Monday Night Wars it became popular for local high-schoolers to go on the show and act out characters. The master was the most successful of these gimmicks, and eventually they built to a match on this show. The show was ostensibly a fundraiser for a proposed skate park at Library Plaza in Marshfield, that I believe was eventually built. I'm sure the work on this show was passable to bad, but it was a super fun night for all of us that went. I believe the Master won with a move onto a skateboard that popped the crowd pretty hard."

[4.0] "Although this Dynamite felt like a fever dream, it was far from justifying a 0-point rating. Cope-Penta, May-Jay and Joe-Rhodes were all good matches. I also liked the build-up with Swerve, who took several chances to soften up the champion before the big title match. The rest of it though? Good lord. The Rated Chicken Hawks segment was a mess, albeit in a rather funny way. What happened after the women's match, on the other hand, just seemed weird. The audience was dead because nobody understood what was going on. Mercedes was even worse. I get that she has her own writer, but if this is what they come up with, I can do without. Nothing she said felt in any way honest or believable. She's a disingenuous sports entertainment character, and a shitty one at that. Not sure I even want to address the Bucks and Ospreay segments as they were as bush league as it gets. I'm fine with having fun at the expense of the competition, but this felt rather insecure and desperate. Pro-wrestlers and promoters are manipulative numskulls who talk shit, lie and act like children. So what? Do Ospreay and FTR come off like bigger faces now? No. Are the Bucks better off now that they aired their grievances? I don't know, maybe. The heat, however, is with AEW as Tony should have known better."

[3.0] "Let's get this out of the way first. 'Rolling the tape' was a questionable promotion tactic that I personally was hesitant on from the get-go. It's a lose-lose situation there, AEW had zero control over the narrative for everything that happened with a former wrestler and a fight at All In. I understand why they aired it, but I don't think anything good came out of it, and maybe even hindered the company's perspective. It isn't about being morally right at this point, especially when people already gravitated to the people that they liked, cemented with a recent interview. The current hegemonic wrestling company has been able to transform itself and use its media ties to bolster the former talent. In some ways, this is just giving them more ammo. It's incredibly frustrating to me that this was seen as the solution. It's not even that the content of what they did was wrong, rather, the CONTEXT of how it arose was wrong. Feels like a misstep. Alright. Nevertheless, AEW is still a promotion with more than just one segment, no matter how influential that segment may be to the current understanding of the company. And frankly, it isn't a show worth watching. Opening to the show fell flat, opening contest was bloated and uninteresting, Jericho falls into the same content versus context problem, Okada squash, Mina Shirakawa kisses her former stablemate, etc. Mercedes Mone has been a huge disappointment. I have no idea why AEW's gravitated towards storyline styles I'd see in the other major U.S. company, it continues to highlight the worst aspect of herself as a wrestler. Ospreay had much better jabs at the hegemon, because AEW's actually able to control the story there! How about that! Decent main event, unfortunately getting completely overshadowed by everything before."

I don't think the crowd helped much either, but I couldn't really blame them. None of the matches really warranted any real excitement. I feel like if it were up to Tony, he probably would have just cancelled the show this week. As a result it basically became a nothing show that will end up being completely forgotten about in a month. **"

[7.0] "This was a pretty good episode from TNA. The opener between 3LK and The Disciples Of The New Church was far from great. Then we saw Sonny Siaki defeating D-Lo Brown, which is a smart choice to get over Siaki. He has been a really good character. The X Division title match between Jerry Lynn and Michael Shane was very good, intense and fast paced. I like Lynn's aggressiveness. I'm invested on his feud with Don Callis. Then Mike Tenay interviews Raven on a great segment. Abyss vs Sandman was bad, but we see some problems between the monster and Kid Kash. Swinger and Diamong win the tag team titles after a very good match with AMW. This feud has been really good and I think it's a great choice to have the heels win. Their job has been pretty good this last month. On the other hand, Dusty vs Gilberti was horrible. The Mad Mikey segment was as fun as the others. And finally the main event. It was a good match, but harmed by the overbooking. Raven was so over. Good nearfalls and exchanges. But AJ wins thanks to the Disciples Of The New Church. After the match Harris, D-Lo and Dusty come to the ring and Harris cuts one of his angry promos about being screwed by the heels. There's a little brawl and Erik Watts cames to the ring and announces a f'n War Games for next weeks show. That should be great. I'm really invested on next weeks shoe because of the Super X Cup and the war games. TNA has been doing a good job promoting their following events lately."

People getting worked up over the controversial... *checks notes* 5 minutes of the show only reinforces my conviction that even reading discussions about dirtsheet type of stuff ahead of a show is detrimental to one's enjoyment thereof. So, I'm rating this 8/10 for the quality of provided entertainment instead of using my rating to send a message to Tony Khan, even though that approach is also valid since, he cares if shows do well on Cagematch."

[4.0] "The opening match between Penta and Adam copeland was fine, nothing fancy and a little slow but it wasn't bad. The trios tag was fine, not good but fine - we all know Jericho is turning on HOOK and they advanced the story (I don't really care about the feud though but compared to couple of past weeks, they at least did something instead of a stupid 'I have a proposion/Jericho calls HOOK out'). Mariah May vs Anna Jay was fine as was Samoa Joe vs Dustin Rhodes. Ospreay promo was fine (if somewhat stupid, why would you fire shots at HHH/WWE when they are on fire and you are on TNA-mode? ). The Toni Storm/Thunder Rosa toast was a big nothing. FTR cut a good promo. The Young Bucks somehow managed to weave the footage in-to storyline but it was a big nothing. Nothing was particularily bad on it's own but when you have a show full of stuff that is 'fine' or 'stupid' it's not a good episode."

I love all forms of professional wrestling, I'm neither a WWE or AEW fanboy, but having the entire premise of your show being built around a guy who ISN'T EVEN IN YOUR COMPANY ANYMORE is just absolutely awful! The only way this would be somewhat acceptable is if the footage of Punk/Perry ended up with Perry getting the upperhand on Punk. The incident went exactly the way CM Punk said it did, so airing it did... nothing? Aside from prove CM Punk right about everything that happened. And why did they think this would be good for Jack Perry? I'm not his biggest fan, but c'mon... you don't want to actively bury somebody who is on your roster. Unless this is some weird fetish Tony has and likes to embarrass people who wronged him, then it just doesn't make any sense."

THE ATTITUDE ERA IS BACK.

This episode proved one thing to me and its that Tony Khan has an unhealthy obsession with WWE, the video of the Punk altercation at All In and the Ospreay comments were not needed but he felt they were. Hopefully this is just one of those bad episodes and the rest of 2024 goes well we really need it to."

The mediocre (in a good way) part is the spoken one, the less of the show. Matches are boring and random in some case, the better you get is the Copeland match, not more than merely sufficient. Not okay even with the main event, that's why: put the brother of the other Rhodes in an eliminator bout I know he would have lose. Under basic "workrate" then. Maybe the worst Dynamite ever."

[0.0] "It was a disastrous show. The CM Punk/Jack Perry footage being the major factor but not the only one. The idea to show this footage was surprising but I thought they must have a reason for it but no. It was just a cynical ratings ploy. The footage was very similar to Punk's version of events and lends him credibility. And even got him cheers and chants on the show. I hope this isn't something that carries on through future weeks. FTR tried to save it with a decent promo but it was a tough task. They then even followed this straight up with a shoot promo aimed at Triple H by Will Ospreay. They don't need to do this. It reeks of desperation. As does the forced sexual content with the Toni/Mariah/Mina kissing and the strange Mercedes angle. They need a big reset of the show. Go back to basics next week. Cut out the cheapness. I feel like I missed a few weeks of TV with the abrupt Jericho change of character."

[1.0] "[0.50/5.00]: It's hard to mention "rivals" while writing about this review, considering how much of a portion is dedicated to ex-workers than building upon their own. Now I don't mean to sound as a hypocrite while writing this, my thoughts on the Ariel Helwani podcast and Triple H's interview with Pat McAfee is somewhat similar but to a lesser degree considering they were just answering questions, with Triple H "fumbling" on free agents and, the majority of, CM Punk's view on the Brawl In matter at Wembley. But were those jabs taken at the expense of AEW, not sure, but don't come nearly enough as petty as what transpired today on this card. Seeing Tony Schiavone's reaction to it all being unfolded, reliving the booking days of Vince Russo and WCW in 2000 is genuinely sad, over a segment that made an ex-worker more over and a fanbase more obnoxious by the end of it, Tony Khan pretty much confirmed two things at the expense of it: CM Punk didn't lie about what he said, and that Tony Khan himself is not a real boss. None of it helped in expanding upon AEW's programming, except for burying its own talents. And even if that wasn't enough, Will Ospreay took a very "not-subtle" jab at Triple H over grinding the boss' daughter, which comes out as unprofessional, artificial, and corporate, something that Ospreay has fought against for the majority of his career. AND Even if that wasn't enough, the main event is a Rhodes vs a Samoan, living in the coattails of what happened a few days prior, to show how average that match would be without added interferences that made it special (STILL NOT FUCKING SURE HOW Samoa Joe is in AEW Title Eliminator while being an AEW champion, wtf? ) This episode was designed for those specific internet niche crowd diehards that would go to any lengths to defend it and hate on the competitor, this episode was designed for grabbing attention by a worker who doesn't work there anymore but tried making him needlessly the bad guy out of this, this episode is the living embodiment of a child wailing on "I'm number one, the other guys are bad, please pick me, why don't you love me." For a show taglined as "Where the Best Wrestle, " where none showed their best tonight. Again, I'm not in any way, shape or form conforming to Tribalism, but this episode reveled on that concept. Fuck tribalism. Fuck this show."

[8.0] "Two fantastic matches (Copeland/Miedo and Joe/Rhodes), plus a handful of entertaining backstage segments (Shibata, Copeland), Ospreay shooting on Trips, a kinda meh interview with Mercedes (but continues her story, at least), and Toni Storm just being Toni Storm (spectacular). Then there's the central talking point, which was just kind of okay. I'm not taking a side as to whether or not they "should have" aired the footage. It's their decision and I respect it. I think the only person coming out of it looking bad is indeed the target, so mission accomplished indeed. They tried to tie it to the tag team tournament, but even FTR came out straight afterwards and questioned its true relevancy. That was the weak part. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate to release the footage elsewhere as a standalone thing, but I can understand wanting to get some ratings out of it and new eyes on the show, so they had to kind of "justify" its airing. However, with that said, the whole thing lasted around 10 minutes. The rest of the show was much better. It's a shame people are bemoaning 2 hours of TV because of the most controversial 10 minutes. Plus, perhaps the receipt Ospreay gave to Paul, but I personally enjoyed that. I mean, you'd think Punk fans would too, but hey. Different times we've living in. Special shout out to Mina's contribution, also. A very entertaining show."
