[7.0] "[3.25/5.00]: This week's SmackDown, despite having just four matches in its two-hour runtime, kept a brisk pace and introduced some significant storyline developments. While it was a decent enough show with some solid action, it's clear that they were aware of the impending changes coming next week. With everything set to shift, the WWE landscape could be in for a major shake-up in just a couple of weeks."

Awful Awful Awful finisher though its just a punch, its stupid so stupid. Tag team match was really good probably the best match i have seen on main event"

[] "Finally, Solo Sikoa becomes interesting. It has taken over a year for me to pay proper attention to him on the main roster now, but I'm glad we're now at a point where he speaks and acts of his own accord instead of being a grunty enforcer for Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman's always great but I'm particularly interested in seeing him out of his depth and rapidly losing control over what's left of the Bloodline in Roman's absence. Kevin Owens bleeding like a stuck pig, and Tama Tonga's car crashed into his? This was very 90s RAW, in a very good way. Hearing "we want Roman" so soon after his defeat tells me that Roman's return as a babyface will finally get him the good guy run he was supposed to have. The Women's Title match was good. Bayley's always got my attention and Naomi impresses with her athletics, but having a no contest finish with Tiffany Stratton was a little... "eh". I like all three of them, don't get me wrong - I just dislike interference finishes for title matches. I suppose you can't have Naomi look bad or Bayley lose two weeks in, so this is the best outcome. Santos Escobar v Carlito was a bit dull. Carlito hasn't impressed me in-ring since his return at Backlash, but Escobar continues to entertain with his combination of high-flying and sneaky offence. AJ Styles and LA Knight The Tag Fatal Four-Way went on for a very long time, which really surprised me given it was a television match. The Street Profits put in a great show, as did Legado del Fantasma. The Authors of Pain looked dominant and very strong even despite spending a big chunk of the match being wailed on by three other teams. I still can't really get behind them yet but we'll see. Pete Dunne is great, I've always liked him; but Tyler Bate... something about him (and it's probably entirely me) just puts me off. I don't know if it's the look, the "big strong boy" thing; no, I know what it is. In a sport that relies on choreography under the guise of looking spontaneous, Bate's spots in this match looked REALLY noticeable in terms of needing to be set up and helped into positions. It didn't look particularly fluid to me. Every wrestler has their "spot". Rey Mysterio always manages to get a 619 in somehow, Undertaker's Tombstone, Rollins' Stomp etc - but these all look pretty natural during the course of it. Maybe it's because it was an eight man match and I'm being too harsh. We'll see. Looking forward to the Draft."

[7.0] "This was a pretty strange card on paper that ended up feeling a bit all over the place by the end. There was some great stuff here, but there was just as much that didn't really work. The main event definitely underwhelmed, and some of the undercard bouts were bizarre (that entrance for Oz has got to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen from a major promotion. What on Earth were they thinking with that one? ), although personally I thought they were at least strange enough as to be endearing (it helped that they were all pretty short). Sting/Luger-Steiners, Anderson-Eaton, and Windham-Pillman (and to a lesser extent the Doom cage match) were all really entertaining, though, and definitely made the show worthwhile. At the very least I think the show succeeded at being interesting, which is often the most important thing to me, and there was certainly enough that was good here to earn a pretty positive rating."

[8.0] "Starting from the junior tag title match this was a good show with Nagata-Sasaki bloodfest as the highlight. My main issue was having a lot of matches with very slow and methodical start, even though most of them picked up the speed at the end. Also, while there were several matches I ranked as good, outside the before-mentioned Nagata-Sasaki, nothing was close to rising to that must-see level."

[6.0] "A rather average Smackdown but with good segments and a pleasant Styles/Knight. Cody/Styles is a very good poster for Backlash. The new titles are very nice, better than Raw's new ones. Bloodline is getting a new lease of life and renewed interest for me. Perhaps new sub-clans, betrayals, a bit in the Bullet Club vein."

[7.0] "Pretty solid show. There were some things I didn't like here and there, but it was an enjoyable show in general. Sami vs Gable was a great TV main event and one of the best matches of the year so far. The in-ring performance was really good, with both men saving some for their incoming rematch after how the show ended (not fully convinced on Gable's turn so early. I think it may have been executed better). We got another basic Cody promo since he is now in a "rest period" before confirming who his next challenger will be, but he started cooking his 1 on 1 match with The Rock. Candice LeRae's heel turn may be one of, if not the best lowcard story I've ever seen. I love how they're executing every single move, with Indi now doing some heelish antics to regain Candice's approval. Sheamus is back with his old theme and a weird gear. His match with Ivar was average, and I didn't like how Ivar looked here after putting Oba Femi ass down. Another funny segment of R-Truth with the reveal of the new Tag Title design (not a fan of the circle shape, but the main plate is so gorgeous) and DIY got another Title shot in a pretty good match, which I doubt they're able to transform into a victory (and it hurts me a team like them won't beat a 50 year old clown like Truth, don't care how funny he is). Andrade outwrestled Dom Dom and Ricochet joined him to keep his mid-low card feud with the Judgment Day, Chelsea and Piper were capable of beating the team they lost the titles to after being squashed again by Jade Cargill (how bad that move makes the women's tag division look. If Bianca and Jade squash this team and now the jobbers beat Katana and Kayden, how that makes the KC's look? ). Jey Uso is a complete snoozefest in the ring. He brings so much energy with his entrance and his mic time, but all of that fades away when he starts wrestling, and making him beating the legendary Finn Bálor that easy is so bad. The Judgment Day sublte tension's angle keeps developing and I love how they're doing it. It's going slow but it feels natural and not that obvious. Rhea Ripley sadly had to vacate the Title, and while I love how they're milking her injury to make Liv Morgan a relentless heel (which I agree with her, it's so funny how she was the victim of Rhea and got injured in the first place and no one booed Rhea for that, and now that she is seeking revenge against the bad girl everyone boos her. Bryan Danielson was always right about the crowd), I don't get why not wait until Backlash to crown a new Champion and they're doing it next Monday (or maybe it's all a facade and Pearce will announce a match for the PPV anyways). Solid show in general, some good matches, stories are developing and it was entertaining enough."

[8.0] "Another good episode of WWE main roster programming. They are on a roll at the moment. This Smackdown doesn't stand out as being overly memorable but it was really solid. The four way number one contenders match was great fun. All the stuff with Solo and the Bloodline continues to intrigue. Heyman is an incredible performer. Loved the WE WANT ROMAN chants during their segment. AJ Styles picking up the win to face Cody is the right move. Stratton getting involved in Bayley/Naomi is the right move. And finally, the new WWE tag titles are the best looking belts they've introduced since NXT UK."

[4.0] "A very disappointing show. A bunch of long boring matches with very little action and excitement. The only great moment of this show was the Flair vs Steamboat angle where Flair enters the ring with models and fancy clothes and is then stripped to his underwear during an exchange with Steamboat."

[6.0] "I absolutely loved how they built up the hype for the main event throughout the whole show and because of that it felt huge when it happened. But starting from the beginning: the opener involved The Radicalz so it had to be at least good, Regal vs Holly was decent, but with a lazy finish and Venis vs Chyna wasn't anything special. Jericho and Kane delivered my favourite match out of their trilogy, Four Way Tag Match was a pleasant surprise with Dudleys rocking the house and Benoit vs Gunn wasn't bad, but suffered from Billy's watered down version of himself. And the main event was fantastic and even though it's a multiman garbage match the star power carried the whole thing and the hype around it made it work. The blood added a lot, Rikishi took a phenomenal bump and the fans were really invested. Good PPV with the main event bringing exactly what it promised."

[6.0] "Very mild UWF show after the previous few. Nothing too exciting and the main event didn't deliver either. Miyato vs Tamura (***1/2) - Decent opener and Tamura continues to demonstrate how good he will become. Suzuki vs Yamazaki (***3/4) - A nice match that sees Suzuki adopting a quicker style to take it to Yamazaki, but Yamazaki has a few more lessons in store for his young opponent. Takada vs Anjo (***3/4) - Spirited match that sees Anjo take it to Takada quite surprisingly at times, but Takada weathers the storm and does enough to put Anjo away. Maeda vs Barrett (***1/4) - Not much to write about here. Barrett gets some offense in but doesn't look impressive and it's an easy win for Maeda. Fujiwara vs Funaki (***3/4) - Mechanically good match but there's no urgency until the last few minutes and it never gets past first gear. Disappointing in some ways."

[] "I really liked the pacing of this episode. The Bloodline segments continue to be a great backbone for SmackDown. In particular, the ones on this show were top notch. AJ Styles and LA Knight have built a good chemistry in the ring. AJ can have a fairly long feud with Cody, there is a lot of material. The Tag Team match was a lot of fun. Santos vs Carlito was solid but the slowburn is getting...too slow and repetitive maybe.. Damage CTRL-Bianca and Jade had a very refreshing segment Bayley vs Naomi was a good main event, I would have had a more substantial beatdown to justify the DQ but Tiffany finally has some heat. Oh, and the new tag team belts are gorgeous, which brings my rating from 8.5 to 9"

[4.0] "Guerrero vs Konan was a pretty good match, but I disliked the way the DQ finish was used. Prince Iukea defeating Regal for the TV title was a big surprise that I actually liked. Regal does such good heel work that it felt good to see him lose. Many of the other matches were far too short or just completely unnecessary for storyline purposes and just fell flat for me. The match of the night was Mysterio vs Super Calo. Lots of high risk moves and pretty big bumps on the floor and mats, even the barricades. The NWO pre-taped car crash promo with the Steiners was ridiculous but I loved it. The four horsemen promo was good, Lex Luger's promo was okay, and Hulk Hogan delivered yet another boring, underwhelming promo to me. Not the greatest go home show for a PPV, going into SuperBrawl VII but it easily could've been worse."

[7.0] "A solid Raw after Wrestlemania that had that season premier type of feel they try to go for with both NXT top champions having decisive wins, Jade Cargill looking like a full time member of the roster, The Rock and Cody Rhodes having an intense promo at the start of the show, and Sami/Gable being a program I am really anticipating. John Cena's save of The Awesome Truth was fun, and I am now dying to see Drew McIntyre get his hands on CM Punk. 3 star show at worst. Side note I like Cody Rhodes as much as the next person, but with the celebration at the end of Wrestlemania and then the almost tribute package they showed at the start of Raw of his journey to the title you would think he was dying. I understand the magnitude of the moment and him ending Roman's death grip on that championship but damn WWE. I certainly hope Cody gets the Cena treatment from back in the day and gets shoved down the viewers throat."

[4.0] "Malenko vs Guerrero was a good match but I disliked the count-out finish, even though it made sense with Syxx stealing belts for a few weeks. It was an anticlimactic finish that just made the match fall flat for me. The tag team championship match was essentially a squash mash against unheard of jobbers and was a waste of time. Too many of the other matches were so short. Regal v Mysterio was the match of the night for me despite the time-limit finish. A lot of the out of the ring work was pretty good, especially the heel work by Bischoff and the NWO during the segment with Randy Anderson."

[8.0] "A very solid show that was highlighted by the debut of Tama Tonga, and the match of the night being the main event Triple Threat. Bron Breakker and Tiffany Stratton are future stars and you would think Jade & Bianca could hold the Woman's Tag Titles until they felt like giving them back. Solid 4 star show that has me excited to see AJ and LA Knight again, this time with something on the line."

[10.0] "An amazing show we had, all the matches were entertaining and left us a continuation, the Main Event of Bayley and Naomi was good and the continuation with Tiffany around, makes me think that on Backlash or even on Clash At The Castle we'll see her become women's champion which will push her career on the Main Roster to levels out of this world, and then AJ Styles vs Cody on Backlash I like It, even though I think LA Knight deserves a Title run, I think he should go first for the United States Title of Logan, before the world Titles, win something from the mid card, and then the Street Profits will face Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, which their new Titles are beautiful they look like a combination of the old school Tag team Titles and the Undisputed WWE Title of beginning of the Ruthless Aggression Era, a match that I like, even though I'm not fan of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller as champions It will be okay If they retain, good matches and now we can feel the beginning of a new era, even though I'll miss for example the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles because they have a meaning for me, I'm glad to see that WWE keeps going ahead with this new era, we only need now Mid Card titles for the women, just like in NXT now and also new Mixed Tag Team Titles so we can have another interesting division of Mixed Tag Teams that can be very funny to see, so that's why I give this SmackDown a 10/10"

[9.0] "Solid episode of Friday Night SmackDown and a solid build to the upcoming BackLash PPV happening in France. The WWE Championship match was set tonight as well as number one contenders for the new WWE Tag Team Champions. I knocked it down a point because I didn't see a reason why Santos Escobar vs Carlito needed to happen. It also appears the WWE Women's Championship match is going to be Bayley vs Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton in a Triple Threat Match. The Bloodline also looks as devastating as ever with Solo Sikoa at the helm and Tama Tonga. Overall, this was a fantastic episode of SmackDown."

[6.0] "It was an okay episode of Raw in my opinion. Shamrock v HBK was a fine main event. I loved the Kane segment where he destroys Ahmed Johnson with ease and then sits up when Mankind hits him with a steel pipe. While the match was a bit sloppy, I thought Aguila looked really impressive in his debut against Loco Roco. The DX promo is really funny as well when they wear the riot gear with the windscreen wipers when Sgt. Slaughter is talking to them. The match quality isnt great on this show though and most of them have no heat to them."

The New Tag Titles Look amazing, and are one of the best desgisns rogjt now. The tag Team Match was fire, and im happy the street profits won. Solo and Tana looked amazing as they destoryed KO, and im excited for this new bloodline story. The last two matches weren't very good but still fun at times, I didn't really like anything that happened between the opener and the main event. Jeff Jarrett was maybe the best wrestler of the show along the participants of the first match, he was entertaining to watch."

[6.0] "With this episode being mostly known for the wedding of Teddy Long and Kristal Marshall, this episode was just decent at best. 3 matches with less than 20 minutes of wrestling on a 2-hour show is NOT good, but I guess the chaos from the wedding kind of made up for it. Yang/Noble was definitely MOTN, had it gone on a few minutes longer."

[6.0] "The best opinion that I could think of this PPV was satisfactory! TNA had little time to build storylines and pencil in matches for this event, and they did a pretty good job of delivering a solid card. Nemeth and Maclin stole the show with a fantastic battle, while the main event and the six-man tag became the next-best matchups. The knockouts had a fine night where Grace defended the title in a solid three-way dance, but the tag division is completely furloughed with a "surprising" switch where the challengers are thin like a lasagne sheet. In short, nothing exceptional was expected from here to take away, but it still cut a good blow-off event before the second Big Four."

[6.0] "I was at this event. What If? was a better than usual Wrestle Island shows for me. No silly gimmick matches, just fine ones. 2 good multi-person matches, most notably the opener - which was one of the most enjoyable matches I've ever seen from the promotion. The under 23's match was fine but nothing amazing. The Rumble was a little dull, got very full but not many alliances, moments or stories other than numbers 1&2 making it the last 6, along with 3 out of 4 VGS members - which became the big story towards the end. And Scott Oberman cashed in his title opportunity and had an amazing match with RPD - lots of cool moves & counters. There was a bit of interference, but finish was good."

We opened with a decent Tag Team Gauntlet Match for the United States Tag Team Titles between The Country Gentlemen, Magnum Muscle, the NOW, the Fixers, Daisy Kill and Talos, TNT, the Spectaculars, SVGS, and Los Vipers. Silas Mason then continued his heel turn as he faced Dan Maff in a good match. M95 defended their Women;s World Tag Team Titles against the random team of Angelina Love and Max the Impaler in another good match. Finally, Kenzie Paige retained her Women's World Television Title against Ruthie Jay by disqualification in a match of the night performance."

[3.0] "4 total matches on the main card, 4 hour show. Inexcusable. Especially when only one is worth the time, which was the women's Rumble match. Even that was marred with a lot of sloppy work from younger wrestlers they were trying to showcase. We won't be seeing Ivy Nile on the main roster anytime soon. The men's match was ok but was very, very predictable. The possibility of Punk winning did linger a little but there was just no way Cody wasn't winning. The other two title matches may as well have been on tv or the preshow because they were completely inconsequential. The Paul/Owen match being the more egregious with a horrible finish a la WCW in the late 90's."

[4.0] "These specials need to get away from the title match gimmick. Any title match with actual heat is going to be on a PPV or at least a big Dynamite. Battle of the Belts 90% of the time is thrown-together title matches and no story advancement since it's a special. You end up with an hour's worth of matches which are almost impossible to care about and nothing else. Only the main event came close to having something going for it but the crowd were dead for it (and were given no reason to care) and that made an already heatless match feel even more flat. We'd be better off having a few novelty/dream matches on these shows if everything is going to be thrown-together. The championship gimmick is holding this thing back."

Fun but not much else **1/4 Good action, nice impact, visually pleasing, not bad at all **3/4 I love the matching outfits. Great cast of characters here, the action is more than good, the tempo stays up and it all comes together nicely ***1/4 They HATE HIM in Chicago, lol. Lots of heat but the action is lacking some, but then they get some great moments in **3/4 It's great, they're all enjoying their time wrestling in a huge arena, and the crowd is appreciative and can get hot. The atmosphere was amazing. Some dramatic moments coupled with alright action ** I mean this could be horrible if the New Japan cameras weren't so professional, they manage to capture everything. Anyhow, this is kind of a mess but it's not bad, the ending sequence is nice tho ** Finally, some mat grappling, on a wrestling show! It's not amazing, but anyway. This is a weird match somehow, there's so much showmanship, but it does come together very nicely with the counters, not bad at all once they got going *** Seems like a mismatch on paper? They create a lot of good moments, but Nic using headbutts seems silly and against his style. Uhh, it's not bad **3/4 Well, this is alright for a main event spectacle but nothing special *** Overall even though the match quality never reached great heights, the atmosphere made this night good."

[5.0] "Disappointing episode of Raw. There's a good Bret Hart vs Shamrock match in here which ended in an explosive pull apart brawl with Shawn Michaels. The main event is a random LOD vs Los Baricuas match, which wasn't very good but the antics from the New Age Outlaws is quite funny. I'm surprised they wasn't immediately added to DX as they act very similar to them. The Mankind and Kane segments in the show are pretty good as they set up the match at Survivor Series. Not really sure why Sgt. Slaughter tries to stop the match from happening. Theres an interview segmentwith the newly signed Jeff Jarrett where you wonder where they're going with the characters or weather he'll get a big push. Spoiler Alert:- he doesn't. I can appreciate that they do try and dedicate more time to the matches this week, but they wind up disappointing particularly with Ahmed Johnson looking badly out of shape against Owen Hart! The problem with the show is that it's kinda the same as last week where Austin gets involved in another Owen Hart match. Jim Cornette's shoot promos are kinda the same every week and the Nation of Domination continues to brawl with the Hart Foundation over last week's terrible angle and Vince McMahon literally tells them there's no racism in the WWF. Did you not see the graffiti last week?"

Good opening ace promo by mox and matches that delivered within the range of where you thought they'd hit. That last part really depends on your opinion of ospreay/claudio, both your expectations going on and the actual match (personally thought it underwhelmed, but still liked it). To be fair, I skipped all the Jericho so feel free to add or take away points from my score accordingly."

[6.0] "The match quality was all over the place here. I love the main event, but I wouldn't consider anything else all that special. The midcard is mostly solid and the majority of the matches have a pretty short runtime so the show is easy to sit through, but there a couple of real stinkers thrown in there that definitely drag the show down. I'd especially recommend skipping the opener and the Young Pistols vs Royal Family match at the very least. I also have to really question the booking with Hansen vs Vader and especially the tag title match. It was a good show and definitely an improvement on the major WCW shows we were getting at the end of 1990, but it definitely had the potential to be better than it was. If you're a fan of the era than you probably won't regret watching it, but if you only check out the main event you're not missing all that much either."

The highlight was the crowd favorite Alfa and returning Viktor Tykki winning the tag championship in a decent match. Unfortunately the other matches had less exciting finishes. Back-to-back bullshit-DQ and double-CO finishes were lame, but presumably are setting up upcoming matches. Paini-Weikot lost and had to disband, which gave a feel bad ending for the show, but at least that opens an opportunity for a payback in the world championship match. Visiting British talent Livvii Grace was good in her Finnish debut."

[7.0] "This was a good smackdown , and a nice edition to tribute of the troops , some good matches and solid story progression. The worst match was Charlotte vs Asuka , which is kind of shocking because in 2018 these two were stealing the show at wrestlemania. These two are some of the best workers wwe has , and it's surprising to see them put on such a underwhelming and short match. Bayley interfering at the end was the only highlight , as it furthered the damage ctrl story. The best match was La and Randy vs Jimmy and Solo , it was a solid match with top stars , and Randy stealing La Knights pin was a good early build to the fatal four way. The best promo was Cm Punk , he finally gave a little bit of heat to some potential storylines he can do , and came off as more natural than his raw promo , very good promo but one can't expect anything less when Cm Punk has a mic. Match ratings : Santos vs Dragon 7/10 , Bobby vs Kross 8/10 , Asuka vs Charlotte 6/10 , La and Randy vs The Bloodline 8/10."

Well, we have the local hero (CM Punk) and the villain (John Cena) in the ME, in a spectacular fight that culminates with the local hero lifting the company's world championship and leaving the stadium with it. Fascinating and iconic. I also liked the triumphs of Bryan and del Rio in the MITB fights. It was the initial tip for Bryan to rise and Del Rio to position himself. When he takes off Misterio's mask, I was shocked."

[4.0] "Ok show at best. Undercard was nothing special. The Stars/Gods Eye trios was really good but both matches following it suffered from the same problem with only one pairing within the match actually being even semi-interesting. This was a particular issue in the Prominence match where Lady C and Kamitani felt totally redundant and were difficult to invest in. The Suzu/Risa portion was good but not enough to make up for this. Main event was an improvement, with more and better interactions between Maika and Momo but still lacked many other interesting or dynamic segments. Xena was good though."

If you're advertising your first hour as commercial free and 45 minutes of it is a promo and less than 5 is for a match, (not including entrances), it's intentionally misleading. It also speaks volumes about it when the WWE YouTube channel only uploaded the last 20 minutes, which were the only worthy part of that promo."

[10.0] "What can you say other than this is the best card of all time. Only a handful of matches ever truly deserve a 10/10 rating, and this card has two in KENTA/Kanemaru and Misawa/Kawada, as well as another which comes damn close in Kobashi/Sasaki. While the undercard isn't spectacular it's still a fun watch, and by the time you reach the GHC Jr. Heavyweight bout the card is just incredible. The tag title bout is brilliant fun, the GHC Heavyweight match is underrated, Ogawa/Tenryu is good but not great and the final two bouts are brilliant, including one of the greatest matches of all time between Misawa and Kawada. In terms of workrate you've got KENTA vs Kanemaru for an absolutely perfect showcase of NOAH's Jr. division, for spectacle you've got Kobashi vs Sasaki in a big meaty battle, and for drama you've got the final match between Misawa and Kawada, a beautiful match worthy of ending the best card of all time."

[6.0] "This Nitro offers a unique blend of WCW's signature chaos and entertainment. With a Spring Break theme, the show delivered a festive atmosphere that was engaging at times. The storyline developments, especially Sid's betrayal of Hogan, added some intrigue, although the episode was bogged down by frequent references to backstage politics with Russo and Bischoff. Standout moments included Diamond Dallas Page's promo and the Hogan vs. Wall match. Overall, a satisfactory episode, albeit not without its flaws."

[5.0] "It's weird how much more entertaining the episodes of Raw were at this point in the WWF's history compared to a typical PPV like this. It's probably because RAW was much more segment heavy and the Attitude Era was legitimately entertaining as sports entertainment, whereas on PPVs like this, more time had to be filled with "actual wrestling". This PPV for example, had a dead crowd for lots of matches, with lots of people probably buying a ticket just to see Austin. As a result, the wrestling is "just kind of there" for lots of this and from a match standpoint there's maybe only 3 matches worth even considering. I'm a fan of the main event just for how wild and chaotic is, but I can see why people might hate it as well for the same reason."

[6.0] "There's definitely an improvement with the wrestling matches here with Rock/Nation vs Shamrock/Ahmed, Shawn vs Owen and Taka vs Tajiri all being worth a watch. The stuff with Austin interfering in two of the matches got a huge crowd reaction. This also had the debut of the New Age Outlaws and also had a notable heel turn from Marc Mero because of his jealous of Sable's popularity. Kane attacks Dude Love this week, which starts his first major feud that isn't with The Undertaker. DX have a funny moment where there sat on the stage holding up signs "Who Booked This Crap? ". Ironic that in the very next segment there's an atrocious storyline angle where the Hart Foundation are presumably framed trashing the Nation of Dominination's locker room and defacing the walls with racist graffiti! The context with the Bret Hart vs Faarooq match and the brawling outside is pretty awful because of it. Jeff Jarrett's shoot promo makes way too many insider references a lot of fans wouldn't get!"

You have terrible commentary, inane storylines, and AJ Lee having a segment in the middle of a PPV to show Photoshops of Vickie Guerrero. The in-ring action here is competent but not very memorable. This show is really only notable for the debut of The Shield at the end, and they couldn't come soon enough to add some life into a stale TV product."

The match card on its own is okay and nothing else, it's okay but it will be forgotten soon enough. The big feuds are not mentioned except Danielson and Ospreay and that's in a small promo time. Match of the Night was the main event but even that was not a true main event as Matt Sydal is a jobber. Not a good episode of Rampage. [**1/4]"

[5.0] "The problem with this show is that there are too many matches on the card. And to many of those are relatively cold matches on top of it. You can justify a lot of shorter-length matches of most/all of those matches are hot feuds that people want to see, like some of the better Attitude-era PPV's. But to have that many matches, and have most of them being sort of cold doesn't make much sense. The main event steals the show, the opener was a huge surprise, and Orton vs. Wade is underrated. Most of the rest off this card is just okay and isn't really all that memorable. The other thing to note is that this show features the last non-Rumble WWE PPV from Kevin Nash, who finishes his run with Triple H in a passable match considering their age and stipulation. A solid show, but might have actually been something greater if it was built on and planned a bit more properly."

[8.0] "Pretty good episode of Raw which heavily focused on DX (they are called that officially now) and while the main event wasn't amazing, I thought the win or go home storyline with LOD with them getting the feel good moment at the end and finally winning the Tag Team Titles was a satisfying ending which was built up well all show. Shawn Michaels and Triple H really are the stars of the show here as they appear a lot and pretty much all of their antics are hilarious to watch, especially when Owen vs Kama turns into a massive brawl that they instigate at ringside while on commentary. Really good stuff all show. The wrestling is kinda hit and miss for the most part, but I enjoyed the Brian Christopher vs Tajiri match."

[5.0] "I was expecting way more from this episode of Collision. I was recommended this episode from friends and It was just a bland and lifeless episode of Collision that has little to no story development and only has good matches and that's it. I love me some good wrestling but how are you gonna draw new fans if theirs no stories. Again saying this but the matches were good! 100% but the story development along with it was horribly done and the only feud that was given a segment was the Storm & Rosa feud. Best match of the night was the main event but even that will be forgotten by next week. [**1/2]"

Is it 2000 WCW bad? Probably not. But it's as close as it gets."

The vignettes are fun time capsules and the Main Event is a solid match between two workers who never got a whole lot of opportunities to shine."

I know the showing of the video is divisive, but I guess I don't see the big deal one way or the other. It certainly didn't hurt how I feel about the show. [] "So trying to stay at a brisk pace we're on to the next episode. We're opening with the lesser known Armstrong boys vs Dean and Benoit, and honestly it'd work just fine as a "Heel w/ Manager v Underdog" tag match on any modern wrestling program. It didn't blow my socks off but for the time, yeah great. Roddy's commissioner now, and I'm cautiously optimistic? I shouldn't be Now we're getting DDP promo time. Goldberg is over. He's the only chant I've heard. DDP ain't no face anymore I guess. We get a "brass ring" reference, hah..... oh God David Flair is on my screen. Okay now for the Cruiserweight 4 way. Real meat n potatoes of the show. What the hell happened to Alex Wright? Well I got transfixed. This match was more than anything I could have expected. Hell it's probably underrated. You could legit slot that in on any modern show and it might be match of the night. The hell did Blitzkrieg pull off on that top rope move? Like genuine A grade match.... aaaand I am now worried about the rest of the show. Welp more Ric v Roddy stuff. And Ric just offered to buy the city a round. Roddy is telling the truth, but getting booed. I.... what the heck just happened. Is Ric kayfabe senile? I'm somehow more lost than when I started. Just no. nWo ambushes Konnan for some reason, and we're moving on. I like Hardcore wrestling. I like *deathmatch* wrestling. What the heck was this. Knobbs matches might be a war crime. A running Garbage Can "elbow"..... god help us. Buff vs Disco, this is pure WCW. It was present on the card. There's nothing bad about it, but it's fundamentally filler and while it's not even structured poorly nothing stands out. Disco gets heat, Buff comes back. Buff's over, but I couldn't tell you why this match happened besides that. Are there going to be any intelligible promos in ring tonight? Scott's promo didn't age well, I'll leave it at that. Kidman and Raven is an absolute nothing match. Glorified angle tbh. The Scott fight is again, just a match. There's nothing good to say about any of it. After watching how well Flair was presented last week vs Sting, you'd think that Nash is like the final boss of WCW right now. Nash gets like a 30 count on Flair because Robinson walks out and Gorgeous George just puts on a ref shirt and calls the match. Ric is kidnapped by presumably psychiatrists, while Arn and a shirtless Robinson insist he's injured. "Central Florida Mental Hospital". We're getting a recap of what we just watched. Goldberg v DDP time, Goldberg is so over. This is post tazer. This man is unstoppably over. This match while not super technically proficient has Big Match Feel. It's really cementing DDP as a heel compared to the weird tweener from last week. And had this ended like a normal match I'd call it amazing. But it devolves into pointless BS, Nash saves Goldberg, and DDP just leaves. This show on the whole came so close to great a few times, but it just kept dragging itself back down. Nash is a face, and so was Sting but so is Flair... kinda. Also Scott and DDP are heels but like... not really-ish. Alignments make sense in that they're people, but it's hard to exactly understand that as a newcomer so I don't hold it against them. If this had the fat trimmed it'd be genuinely good! But there's a lot of fat and some things are confusing. But I'd still probably recommend more than enough off the show to call it Good with an asterisk. 7/10"

[6.0] "I can only find the videos for the matches, so I'm assuming that some backstage segments, etc, are missing, so the review is based on what's left. Episode 2 seems to be filmed in a sports centre in Crewe for a very different ascetic. Count Bartelli v Ian Wilson, Wilson's contant cheating helps the pacing of the match but but still great to see the 62 year old Bartelli wreshle. Max Beesley hops up on the apron to interview mad dog Wilson after he wins the first fall, which we really would have seen more of in satalite wrestling to differentiate it from the ITV Wrestling, it feels like we lose content between the 2nd and 3rd fall which is a shame, but Bartelli wins which is the right result for a rare match where both are bleeding within 10 minutes. Captain's match: Rocky Moran v Mal Sanders, the mat is covered in blood from the previous match, and the participants are brawling on the outside while the ring announcer is still going through the motions. This is a classic example of 2 wrestlers that didn't watch the previous match given the cheating and blood we've just seen, I don't think this match needed a brawl to start. The choking with electrical wire in the crowd and frenetic action give this match a GLOW feeling just swap the conference room of a Las Vegas hotel for a sports centre in Crewe. Sanders submits in the shoulder breaker submission despite his feet being hooked under the top rope. Jon Cortez v Johnny England (who looks like John Silver with a perm) thought we were going to get a lot of technical wrestling from Cortez, but instead, he's hitting England's second with a chair and wiggling. England seemed a bit green. Vince Miller tries to interview Cortez, but England is shouting over him. World Championship final eliminator best of 3 falls Chic Cullen v Kung Fu. Vince Miller explains the mat is wet cause someone in the crowd threw a bottle of water in. We get a crowd reaction shot in this match that I am convinced gets used at least 3 times in this show, which is pretty lazy production. This match is the one that's closest to a joint promotion style match but the crowd have already seen blood and chair shots so it's difficult to put the genie back in the bottle and it gets little reaction, we get told its a 20 minute draw after 12 minutes and we get a round of applause. Rocky Moran/Mark Rocco vs Johnny Saint/Mal Sanders, Rocco starts this match like a maniac and is the inspiration for Shane McMahon jumping off scaffold, johnny Saint just bleeding on the apron commentary laughing at Rocco later in the match for missing a knee drop was something new. A guy from the crowd literally tries to grab rocco off the apron when he's trying to help Moran cheat. If you see this match and think they'll be technical wrestling cast Saints in it, you'll be disappointed. It's a typical Rocco spot/cheating fest. A bloody Rocco cuts a very shouty promo, and Mal Sanders attacks him, while Vince Miller tries to conduct an interview with the pair. Rocco claims Max Beesley has band him for 60 days and attacks him, and the show goes off the air"

Great fun to be found -at least a little bit of it- on every match. The finish two matches are defining in the scope of PROGRESS as a company, as they establish a load of stars who will lead the charge going forward. The end of Jim Hav's title reign was a long (long long long) time coming and they pulled it off without a hitch. The main event IS this company's best match ever. So far."

Obviously this isn't the place to go for workrate, but if you're looking for a short and sweet show, with wholesome vibes and a beautifully unique backdrop, this is the one! I wasn't hyped about the other matches but none were outright bad and the build for the Chamber match was good, especially the wild run at the end. Only thing really bad was the Muhammad Hassan "debate", it baffles me that folks treat this like some kind of amazingly nuanced angle when in just a few weeks it was transparently just a new way to boo Arabic heels, oh but not because of race but because they are annoying whiners, a big difference, also a man is screaming in Arabic and Jim Ross is telling them to love America or leave it."

[8.0] "A good card overall, not quite as good as the first Clash I think but still features some really good stuff. By far the first and last matches were the best, Windham and Brad put on a clinic of just super great fundamental wrestling and if you can't appreciate the spectacle and energy of Dusty and Sting fighting two of the best wrestlers in the world, I can't do much for you."
