[2.0] "This is an absolutely terrible title defense. Both guys seemed to be on completely different pages. Everything looked sloppy as hell and they both looked like they were completely lost. How can they BOTH be unsure of what comes next. Worst Destinos in history in this match. Sanada takes the bump way too early. These guys look they were not only calling it in the ring, but really explaining how to wrestle there. This would be bad for a Road to match, but this was a title match on a big show. Terrible, honestly."

[8.0] "A match that would've been better off had it committed to one idea. The striking was crisp and clean, and the moves from both Mina and Natsu are fantastic. But the inconsistent selling of the leg from Natsupoi and the structure issues bring this one down a bit. But then again, I'm not sure how much it mattered. It's a white belt match after all, and maybe that all fits together. 4 Stars."

[8.0] "You got to give credit to HoT: their entire performance during this tournament built perfectly to this match. To be clear, there was still a lot to dislike here: the no-contest and slow start to the main portion of the match made this drag somewhat, and referee incompetence of course abounded. Regardless, they perfectly built to LIJ getting its long-sought revenge, and Yota Tsuji is a bigger star than ever. You cannot deny that this was ultimately a success. ****"

[8.0] "This isnt quite as good as their previous encounters on this latest Nia run, but this is a chaotic mess of a match that works very well, credit to the booking for making Nia look strong by having her get up after taking a manhandle slam through a table off the apron, Becky was always going to win this match though, but I have to say that Nias weapon shots looked more worked than most other stars weapon shots, and thats not a good thing. Even still, the action in this match was very good and it was worth your time to watch this entire episode of Raw, 8/10. Nia's run as of late has actually been damn good and I just wonder how long it will be until people realize it."

[7.0] "Another great match between these four, admittedly this result was kind of predictable, but predictability is not a bad thing inherently. Credit to both teams for putting on a nice show even if this match was fairly predictable. Tozawa and Otis both got time to shine, but we all knew that the New Day was going to go into that six-pack challenge because of New Days name value. 7/10, Both teams got chances to shine here, so no one comes out of this match looking weak, and the limit break getting the win (which as an FFVII fan I absolutely love) gives Woods another finisher move he can use."

[7.0] "If theres one thing both Dom and Ricochet are good at, its getting emotion out of the crowd. Ricochet and Dom didnt put on a classic, but its certainly not a bad match either, both of these two will entertain because Dom is good at getting his ass kicked, so is JD for that matter. Overall, Ive got no room to really complain about this match and while its not crazy, its Ricochet and Dom, two of the most consistently good performers on the roster, so heres a 7/10. It's not like these two are going to have a bad match though"

[10.0] "Someone tell me that the Creeds and DIY are not two of the best tag teams in the world, and I will show them this match, because holy moly what was going on, this was an excellent display of what they were fully capable of, this was an opening match on Raw, and it was this damn good, the Creeds and DIY put on an absolute clinic that had this crowd roaring at the very end. Its rare for me to do this but I think this match deserves this 10/10 rating because holy moly the chemistry these two have and the match they put on was extraordinary."

There's so many absurd contrived spots and sequences in here and many of them get botched. Not really any pacing or structure to this match, its just a collection of "cool sequences" made to be clipped into highlight reels."

[9.0] "This was great. Big Hash had some great moments, Sareee was fantastic, and Anou shined in her limited moments too. But Natsupoi was the focus of this match. Both her offense and fantastic bumping/selling were on full display. Particularly liked the strike exchanges between Sareee and Natsupoi, as well as some of the fighting spirit work from Hashimoto. Not flawless of perfectly structured, but overall this was a blast. Edit: Bumping this to 4.5 Stars."

[7.0] "This was a very good match. Christian Cage only had 2 matches in ROH and this was his only singles match. Christopher Daniels was one of the earliest stars in ROH and a mainstay in the company, so even though Christian was a babyface at the time in TNA, the crowd cheered Daniels more than Cage. They had a nice back and forth, with Christian having to play more of a tweener because of how over Daniels was. Some of the character work was fun too, with Christian mocking Daniels. Not one of the best matches of either men's careers, but considering where it happened, it's worth watching. ***3/4"

[5.0] "The match itself isn't terrible and The Undertaker is one of the best sellers in the business the way he put some of Faarooq's offense over, but this is not exactly the kind of finish you want to see when so many matches on this show ended on a non-finish. The aftermath does open the door for the Road Warriors to feud with the NOD and their spot making the save was pretty good."

[9.0] "The way this started as almost an exhibition style match had me a little timid and unsure what to expect. Once they got past that part and really started to develop the story and introduce the face/heel dynamics, this picked up quick. Kenny is an absolute madman for some of the bumps he took here. The standout was the tiger driver 91, but having his head smashed into the announce table didn't look fun at all. The kickout at 1 from the OWA is an instant classic moment. I think I slightly prefer the Wrestle Kingdom match, but this is right up there too."

[3.0] "The return of the Road Warriors is obviously a great moment, but this was a stupid match to book them in an the entire match was a mess. If they didn't want the Head Bangers to take an early L, just have them squash another team rather than coming up with a dumb finish like this."

[5.0] "This was a fine match but I really just can't get into these ChocoPro matches, wrestling in the tiny weird little room with no ring, and now they are cramming a bunch of fans in there as well, even at the windows? It's unique but makes the match cramped and sloppy, even with good performers like Sakura."

[5.0] "This match was not bad but I just couldn't get into it. By modern match standards it wasn't so long but it felt like it tread the same ground more than once, somehow. Some nice moves but I found myself not feeling super invested. The action was fine, but I didn't think this was memorable really."

[6.0] "Am a bit mixed about this match. There are some things that would net it a higher rating from me like the rope pull into the dropkick and the springboard on the guardrail. The ending is also solid. But I also felt myself being kind of bored while watching this match. The first couple of minutes are nice but the Bullet Club stuff really kills the pace, although them being booted out is really funny."

[7.0] "This was a very good match. AJ Styles had just won both the X-Division and NWA tag team championships, so he was on a role. Low Ki was also getting some recognition, especially in ROH as he would win the ROH championship later in the month. So having a match between these two was a no brainer. This only went 10 minutes, so it wasn't as good as some of their other matches, but this was still fun to watch. The finish was awesome, with Lo-Ki going for the Phoenix splash, but AJ Styles caught him mid-air and hit the Styles Clash. To my knowledge, that finish has only been only one other time, that being the IWGP championship match between Styles and Kota Ibushi in 2015. ***3/4"

None of the pairings were bad but none were very fresh and it all kind of felt like a foregone conclusion. Watching a bunch of time limit draws wasn't super exciting, though the action wasn't exactly bad."

[5.0] "It's pretty much exactly as advertised, bloody and violent to the furthest extremes, and it will definitely please those who are predisposed to like this kind of match. To me there is some appeal but it's too much of a muchness, you go to these extremes and it's like, normal attacks don't even matter anymore. Just my own feeling."

[9.0] "[4.75*] Sensational match between Harashima and Ueno, the exchanges between them were incredible, Harashima gave a surreal performance here, his Poisonrana on Yuki on the ropes and then doing it outside the ring was insane. The end of the match was very good, Yuki Ueno's dropkicks were impeccable and it was sensational to see Harashima resisting and doing everything he could to become champion again, his frustration after the match was emotional. One of the best matches of the year that ends an incredible DDT event in an incredible way, they have a lot of talent on their roster, they need to make the most of it."

[9.0] "[4.75*] This was so good, Aoyagi and Takeshita are incredible wrestlers who are having the best time of their careers physically and technically, it's insane how athletic Takeshita is, his explosiveness is insane. The exchanges between them were wonderful, I liked Aoyagi's backdrop in Konosuke on Apron. Takeshita going from a suplex to a knee was an amazing move. The final sequence of the match was perfect, Aoyagi managed to escape Takeshita's knee multiple times and when Takeshita managed to hit him he gave an exciting kickout, Takeshita's spinning Falcon Arrow is an incredible finisher and ended this sensational match in an incredible way."

[8.0] "[4.25*] Incredible Tag match, great story and great moves. Endo and Ino have very good chemistry, they were both brutal, Tetsuya Endo carrying the victory at the end was excellent. Anzai is young and has a lot of future ahead of him, it was a great performance from him here. The start of the match is frenetic and they manage to keep the pace until the end."

[7.0] "Can't believe I'm saying this about a NOAH junior heavyweight match in 2024, but this was enjoyable. Both Daga and YO-HEY aren't exactly my cup of tea, but they picked up big time in second half of this match, and got the crowd and commentary back into it. Props. 3.5 Stars."

[7.0] "[4.0*] Great match, Katsumata and Okatani had a real fight here, the use of the stipulation was very good, they used everything they could. It was really crazy what they did here, but I liked what I saw from both of them, Katsumata won the match in a very interesting way, the end of the match was very good."

[7.0] "[4.0*] Totally surprising result, in no way did I imagine Goto winning here, it was without a doubt a pleasant surprise. The exchanges between Goto and Sanada were great, both managed the match incredibly and the drama they put in at the end of the match was excellent. The nearfalls between them were wonderful, Goto deserved this victory and the match was very good."

03:16
[6.0] "[3.5*] One of the few results that I really liked in the New Japan Cup, Tsuji's victory was very good and for me it was surprising, he is very close to winning the cup and challenging Naito for the title. Evil is without a doubt among the members of the House of Torture the best to see in the ring, he still manages to deliver solid matches. The action in the ring was decent and I was really enjoying everything, but even though we were kicked out, the House of Torture reappeared to do more interference, low blows and ref bumps, which certainly made the match lose points."
48today
03:15
[7.0] "[3.75*] Very good match, Ulka Sasaki was incredible here, his style coming from MMA worked very well with KENOH, his leg submissions and him almost fainting Kenoh was very good. Kenoh's DDFS on Sasaki was sensational and despite the end being a count out, the match was well constructed and both did a great job."

03:13
[10.0] "[5.0*] This was the biggest threat to Streak that Taker had ever faced, he had a Triple H hungry for him and wanting revenge for his loss at the last Wrestlemania, a Hell in a Cell match and Shawn Michaels (his iconic rival and Triple H's iconic friend) as match referee. I liked several details here, like Shawn Michaels stopping Triple H from continuing to chairshot Taker and encouraging Taker to quit the match. Michaels saved Taker from several rage attacks from Triple H but was "betrayed" by Taker who performed a Hell's Gate sequence on Michaels and Triple H. This match also has what I think is the greatest kickout of all time, a sequence of Sweet Chin Music and Pedigree could have been the perfect end to the streak, with teamwork from two of Taker's biggest rivals, that alone could have been necessary to beat the Deadman, BUT Undertaker got the Kickout, which was totally unbelievable . Michaels, Triple H and Undertaker's reactions were insane in this match, you could feel the desperation and urgency they had, everyone just wanted this brutal match to end. The ending was incredible and this is without a doubt one of the best matches in WWE history, insanely iconic and an all-time classic, I doubted Triple H and Undertaker's ability and they totally surprised me here."

[] "As someone who did not grow up watching the Attitude Era of wrestling I can see the charm of the energy, star power, announcing and overall presentation of the match. I think it's a good match but definitely underwhelming for a main event of this caliber, Hopefully when I watch the 17 one it will be better. Will be back later to rate."

03:12
[9.0] "[4.75*] Good match and good performance from CM Punk, he worked hard to deliver a show against Undertaker at Wrestlemania, he knew it was one of the greatest moments of his career and without a doubt it was one of the most important. The in-ring action was decent, it's a shame that CM Punk's Elbow Drop on Taker at the announce table missed and the table didn't break, it would have been a memorable spot. The best moment of this match was the sequence where Taker reversed an Anaconda Vice into a Chokeslam followed by a Tombstone and even then Punk kicked out, a frantic and incredible sequence. The ending was so good, Taker's nerfall and the counters between Taker and Punk trying to escape each other's finisher until Undertaker finally hit the Tombstone Piledriver, it was all very good, an iconic match."
53today
03:11
[6.0] "[3.5*] Incredible match for a Kickoff, the Crowd was absurdly hot cheering for Sami Zayn, it was really cool to see that, Sami deserves this pop. The action in the ring was incredible, Jordan Devlin's selling here was top notch, his bumps were great. Overall the match was simple but very well executed with Sami's sequence of Helluva Kick and Blue Thunder Bomb to win the match."
54today
03:10
[7.0] "[4.0*] Roddy Piper was an absolute heel at that time, but he was nowhere near Bret's level and he knew that, that's why Piper tried to run away from him at the beginning of the match, everything he tried Hart was always one step ahead of him, so how a good heel, Piper used her tricks to have the advantage here. The action in the ring isn't the best, but the feeling this match gives is sensational, even though you weren't there in person you can feel how involved the crowd was in everything, and the role of heel and face was played perfectly by Piper and Hart. The end of the match told a very good story with Piper refusing to hit Harte with the bell and after losing to him, she passed the torch to Hitman. If the pinfall wasn't the way it was, this match would definitely be an 8/10. Classic."

56today
03:07
[7.0] "[3.75*] Shinzaki definitely works better with Hayabusa as a tag, even so the match was interesting, Misawa is from another planet, his skill and brutality is impeccable, I loved how he finished the match here, with an incredible Lariat sequence, great match that could be better."

[7.0] "In the last of the proto-Triple Crown matches, Stan Hansen and Jumbo Tsuruta finally overcome ringouts to formally create the Triple Crown. This is the stiffest I've seen Tsuruta in this whole series, and the most he's been on the back foot too. Stan beat the bricks off of Jumbo all match, only losing when Jumbo dodged a lariat and scoring a borderline fluke pin. It's cool seeing a guy so well known for his lariat putting on an awesome match while only using it once at the end, not even hitting it. I'm definitely stanning Stan after these matches, but Tsuruta absolutely won me over too. The ending definitely leaves one wanting more, the third one so far to do so, but hey, after three matches I genuinely DO want more, so that's a testament to their chemistry. Also, hey Earthquake at ringside! Dude's 25 going on 58 here, absolutely wild. Seeing a bloodied Tsuruta was sick, this was a fun match, probably my favorite of the three. Looking forward to seeing how Tsuruta's reign goes."

Yeah, not a single soul believe those guys are gonna win the whole thing, so why even bother sacrificing a competent duo for a couple jobbers? Absolutely disgraceful start for the Tournament Wild Card"

I was fully into Narita by match's end, right before the interference, and I think he's a great foil for the top stars of the company whose skills should be utilized more prominently. At some point, it's no longer going to make sense for someone as singularly talented as ZSJ to not be world champion. I'm predicting a deep G1 run for The Front Man, and hoping for a victory in the Tokyo Dome next year. ****"

[10.0] "A very well executed Hell in a Cell match. Yes is not a problem to say that this match is a 10 by the terrible injury of Cody. In one of the most violent stipulations in WWE, Cody made a superhero performance, this injury is one of the worst in the human body, he literally fights with one arm. Rollins mades another stellar performance with no result, maybe that was the only bad thing of this fight. The people will see this fight in the future when Cody becomes a legend, this fight is everything for Cody, is the step to glory, is the rise of the new babyface in WWE. Cody you really shut up a lot of mouths. A match for the ages. *****"

[7.0] "Another attempt to determine which wrestler will take part in the King of the Ring tournament. This match was in a more aggressive manner than the previous one. The wrestlers turned the tables, and this time at the beginning, Doink took over the advantage, attacking Hennig before the start of the match. But his dominance ended quickly, as Curt injured his leg in his last match, and the emphasis was placed on working on it this time too. In the end, Doink was close enough to victory, but Hennig again seized the initiative and did a perfect plex, but again the wrestlers did not have enough time to determine the winner. A great match that put both in a good light, 7 points."

[7.0] "As the second of three in the "Pre-Triple Crown Triple Crown Matches" series, this one exceeds it's predecessor. I felt the first one was a bit slow for my own tastes for the first half, but these two start this one like they were shot out of a cannon. It's interesting seeing Hansen playing the de facto face in this one, with Tsuruta dominating him for much of the early bout, stomping out any comeback attempts quickly and brutally. The fans even start booing him as he continuously punishes Stan on the outside, conversely cheering Hansen for choosing to roll his opponent back into the ring regularly. The two of them were laying their shots in like crazy, with both guys using crisp elbows and Stan clubbing the soul out of Tsuruta all match. I like that they still can't unify these belts all this time later because they devolved to beating the tar out of each other outside again. Also, Korakuen Hall, neat! Good match, makes for an even more interesting rubber match. Only one more proto-Triple Crown match left."

[7.0] "Matt Borne got used to his character very well, and it was in his performance that Doink was an amazing gimmick, a crazy clown playing mind games with rivals, scaring children in the fan section and coming up with some new antics every time. And Curt Hennig, an amazing wrestler who was at the peak of his career, may have been the opponent with whom Matt showed, I think, his best matches during his short run. It was an exciting technical fight in which Curt aimed primarily on the enemy's leg, but the wrestlers could not identify the winner and the match for qualification to the King of the Ring ended in a draw, and this mini-feud remained open, as evidenced by their fight after the bell."

[4.0] "Just an ordinary random match from a WCW Saturday Night, that wasn't particularly noteworthy, even though it featured great wrestlers, even though Matt Borne's gimmick was pretty cartoonish at the time and he frankly had no chance of doing much better in WCW, and despite my skepticism of Bagwell, he was a young standout at the time. Not bad wrestling, but the match itself was pretty forgettable."

[6.0] "Coming into this match, the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, performs in a non-title match against Batista. The previous night at Judgment Day 2008 in Omaha, Nebraska, Chris Jericho wrestled in another non-title bout against a former rival of Shawn Michaels, in which he lost in nearly sixteen minutes. This is a shot at Chris Jericho's confidence and ego, and it's clear he wants to get this match over with as soon as it starts, as he attacks Batista immediately as the bell rings. The bigger man in Batista can push him off and elbow at the back of Jericho in the corner, until he then backs Jericho into the opposite side corner and gets to work on him there with jabs and shoulder tackles. Batista Irish whips Jericho into a corner, and Jericho stops the animal in his tracks with a boot to the head, following it up with some jabs in which Batista pushes him away and strikes him in the throat. Batista whips him off the ropes, trying for a back throw, but Jericho kicks him and runs the ropes to gain momentum before being lifted by Batista and dropped on his chest. Batista continues to dominate Jericho with clotheslines and strikes. As Batista begins to whip Jericho, he seems to tumble as if something is wrong with his knee, with the referee checking on him as we go to break. Back from break, and Batista is still dominating the Intercontinental Champion. Batista seems to not buy that Jericho is injured, with the power whipping Jericho into a corner. Jericho tries to rally some momentum by kicking him, but Batista shrugs it off and strikes him back. He then whips him into the ropes, but Jericho catches himself and fakes Batista out as he tumbles over the top rope and onto the floor. Now it seems Batista has his left knee injured. As he limps into the ring, Jericho begins to work on the left leg and knee of Batista. Jericho was faking his knee injury all along and has now got Batista in his trap. Batista tries to push him off with his legs twice, even with a big boot to the head, but his knee isn't able to support the rest of his weight, and he collapses. Jericho continues to try and go after his knee, but Batista drops his "Spine on the Pine" with a Spinebuster. The animal tries to put Jericho away with a Batista bomb, but Jericho counters into the walls of Jericho. The agony Batista is in for a full minute is teeth-grinding, but he can make the break in the bottom rope. How much left could be in the tank of Batista, as it seems to come down to not a matter of if, but when? Batista makes his way to his feet and throws a haymaker that's avoided by Jericho into a chop block, then a Lionsault, which is avoided. Batista stands and tries another Batista bomb, but Jericho hangs on to the ropes and kicks him in the legs again. As Jericho scales the top rope, Batista drops him with a clothesline. Batista, making his comeback, has Jericho where he wants him and tries a spell, but Jericho avoids it and sends him shoulder-first into the ring post. Jericho then tries his signature Codebreaker, but Batista catches him, and Batista bombs him for the win. With the odds stacked against him, Batista's will to get his revenge against Shawn Michaels at One Night Stand kept him in this match. (***1/4)"

My first Zeus match I've seen and he didn't particularly impress me a lot. Miyahara and Zeus have good chemistry together but I thought the match just had issues with structure and pacing."

You also got some delightful strikes, chops and kicks that you would expect from these two. The dynamic of trying to outdo one another when hitting strikes was also cool. The slap exchange was a great example of this, and Bryan ended up winning that by hitting Shibata with an unexpected kick. The counters at the end were tremendous and made it feel like the match could really end any moment in which it did.****1/2"

This match was long for a TV match, but not all that long for a match but felt even longer due to the way it was structured. They started hitting big moves early on in this and no this wasnt as good as the Takeshita match when they did it because Fletcher isnt Takeshita. All of the offense looks good here from both guys but it was mainly just two guys mindlessly hitting each other with big moves until it was time to hit the finish.**3/4"

[] "What an incredible match. I have always been a fan of wrestling to a basic degree but usually just watched WWE. I realize now that I have missed out on a lot of great matches, and this is one of them. I genuinely think this might he might favorite match of all time. Omega and Naito had such good chemistry and the crowd was so into it, adding another great thing."

The action is always moving and things are more enjoyable here than most of the previous matches. Things are best when Davey Boy Smith is the face and I also really like what Haku is bringing. Heenan's selling is adorably goofy. The unceremonious PLOP of Heenan for the finish is gold. 4.5"

Worth nothing: the word "dreadful" was used at least five times to describe this match before I left my own review. It's barely north of dreadful but it's still a bunch of crap. I admit I pop for the water pitcher bit."

Savage mounts an enjoyable comeback but the Hammer is still alive. In the midst of Valentine attempting a figure four, all he accomplishes is a tighter lock on the cradle that catches him for the fall. These two squeezed out all of the good they could from every minute they were given. More time could have made this excellent."

[9.0] "Underrated match, it was one of the best matches of the tournament. When Finlay had to forfeit, Goto didn't seem like he had much chances against SANADA but they worked very well in that match to make Goto look like he really had a chance and the crowd being mostly behind Goto made it work even better. Some of us doubted him but after all he is a 3 time winner of the New Japan Cup, made it to a lot of finals in multiple tournaments, and today he went out there with a lot of determination and intensity to prove that he still can make it happen. Great chemistry, some great counters and a big win for Goto against the previous IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and now everybody is in the Goto train again. It might not last for long but this match really showed the power of Goto and how he is still loved by the fans who want to see him get that world title reign."

[9.0] "I'm realizing as I'm sitting here that the only real criticisms against this match are nitpicks. The match doesn't breeze by, because it feels like a struggle for HARASHIMA. He's damn near 50, and he's trying to keep up with an athletic freak who's yet to hit his prime. It may not be the most consistent heart-pumping exciting matches of the year, or one of the greatest stories or hot crowds. But man, a simple old ace vs. new ace match is so easy to get behind. And then there's the little details. Ueno and HARASHIMA are masters of the facial expression, and both are excellent at conveying emotion through body language. Even the big moments, some of the stiffer strikes or near falls have little tidbits of excellence in them. Just great all-around. 4.5 Stars."
