These two had really good chemistry with their offense both being hard hitting strikes. There were moments where I thought Nakamura might actually win which made the match a blast to watch live. Hopefully these two can cross paths again in some way at a PLE."

[6.0] "New Day Vs. Imperium honestly is kind of stale to me but this match gets bonus points for the really good segments before and after with New Day and Gunther going at it and the implosion of Imperium. I hope Gunther gets to wrestle on TV soon though."

[6.0] "Solid match for the tag team titles. A pretty good back and forth with some nearfalls. Not anything that really stood out, but it was all fine. With how much DIY has been pushed, it's a surprise they aren't the new champions. After the match, Ciampa refused a handshake and later walked out on an interview, teasing a breakup of DIY and a heel turn. Not sure why they couldn't have won here and had a run with the belts for a little while. Awesome Truth winning the titles was a good moment, but they didn't need this. 6/10"

[7.0] "This was a really solid match. These two have really good chemistry. I got a chuckle out of Naito mocking Drilla's barking. The big news here is Jake Lee doing a run in with Finlay and hitting Naito with the big boot allowing Drilla to hit the Drilla Killa to win. I figured it was likely it was gonna be 2-2 going into the final match, but they way we got there was surprising."

[7.0] "Another casual D.I.Y banger but a little bit lesser than their other recent matches. The near falls were good and Awesome Truths new finisher is genuinely one of my favorites in the whole roster. Nice to see theyre serious about Awesome Truth, but I think D.I.Y shouldve taken home the gold. Im very intrigued by the alluded Ciampa heel turn as well."

[7.0] "Connors did a good job of showing his bad guy antics, denying Shingo the fight at the start and having Shingo chase after him. My favorite part being when Connors throws Kato and Murashima on top of Shingo. Overall, the action was solid throughout. There were a few miscommunications between the two where Connors look like he struggled to know exactly what to do. This just suggests to me he would benefit from more singles opportunities against heavyweights. Overall however, Connors certainly did not look out of place against Shingo here and the two put together a good never-style match."

[10.0] "Ospreay vs Danielson was amazing. Even me saying amazing feels like an understatement. I just can't find the right words for it. It was like a dream."

[6.0] "This was not as good as meta fours match against alpha academy , and that was pretty apparent as alpha academy is trained , and team Jensen are still growing , this would also be one of the last matches of brooks and Jensen because they would split up and have a match against each other. Tiffany got involved which was good to set up Fallon vs Tiffany again."

[10.0] "Two of the greatest to ever do it doing great things. Unbelievable match. The way they both seemingly tried to suplex each to other THROUGH the ring and floor was beyond any tier. The obvious chemistry shows throughout this match with them knowing each other so well. Everything so fluid yet brutal and extremely stiff. There was nothing like it watching the first time but upon every re-watch you ask yourself what took you so long to watch again. Unreal. True goats. Forever pillars."

[] "The match itself was good like any other imperium and new day match. These guys are some of the best and it shows in the match. They had some pretty slow spots throughout the match and the commercial breaks didn't do this match any justice. If anything it slowed it down too much. Overall a match that has it's highs and lows but generally a good match. Sadly this match will always be overshadowed by what happened after it."

[9.0] "Fantastic match from two of AEW's best, great showing from both men, as someone who didn't watch Okada's stuff in Japan now I know from his AEW Run that he is infact the real deal."

[] "This was easily one of the greatest matches I have ever seen. All of it was awesome, the spots, the crowd, the camera angles, all of it. Going into the match I was skeptical if it would be as good as it was, due to Danielson and Ospreay's very different wrestling styles. I was wrong to be skeptical and I have never been so happy to be wrong. The moment when Danielson and Ospreay stared at each other, deciding to run at each other and strike with their best shot is something that should be talked about for generations to come. The in-ring storytelling was amazing. I could have done without the finish being that Danielson got seriously injured (I think it's a work) but it was still a great match and I thought it did a good job setting up Ospreay breaking away from the Don Callis family. I think it should be talked about how great Callis did on commentary. He not only put over both workers but he talked about how Ospreay doesn't have a killer's instinct, which led into the finish and followed more into the media scrum where Ospreay talked about how sorry he felt about Danielson getting hurt and ultimately retiring the Tiger Driver '91. All in all this was a great match and should definitely be a must watch for all pro-wrestling fans."

[3.0] "Random Match Review #6: The kind of Joshi tag that you just zone out over while watching. I am not a fan of Raku and Suzukis style of pop-star wrestling so whenever they were in control, I lost interest. HARUKAZE and Toribami were more enjoyable to watch but it was like the bare minimum of what wrestling should be really: actual aggression. This is nothing to get overly upset over since it was just a random tag on a crossover show but was not a fan of this. *1/2"

[6.0] "Don't get the rating on here. I liked this and I don't think I've enjoyed one second of the Hook/Jericho feud. Solid action considering Hook is still so green and Jericho is like 55. The finish and decision to have Jericho go over got genuine heat. Right decision. Jericho needs to be a full on heel at this point."

[7.0] "This was a fun enough match , but it should of been much better than it was , I expected more from these two . The finish didn't really help , it helped build to another match between these two , but it was a disappointing finish to this match . Alright main event , expected more though."

[9.0] "Great TV match for the era, two of the hottest guys in the company at that time. Arn is just an impeccable worker in every respect, everything he does rules, offense, defense, bumping, threatening, stooging, he can do anything. Luger is very good as well actually, he may have peaked in ring very early now that I think about it."

[8.0] "Great match , it's good to see Johnny back in his home state of Ohio , and the Miz got a very good reception, the crowd was behind him which is something that used to never happen , good match and good way to get both johnny and Miz on this card."

[] "A great match full of entertainment showing you do not have to have the most intense and serious competitors or storylines to have a good match. If anyone says any of these competitors are bad wrestlers make sure to show them this match. I am getting a little tired of the whole DIY is DX gimmick."

[10.0] "I admit I love everything Kawada or Hansen but you put them both in the ring and I am over the moon. This was a banger. That Lariat to finish was BOOM! Loved it!"

[7.0] "A focused Jake Lee is one of the best big men in wrestling, especially when his matches aren't bloated main events. His control segment early here isn't offensively long, his offense all looks impactful, and his selling once Kaito starts working the leg was great. It's unfortunate that Kiyomiya continues with his Mutoh cosplay, because had they finished with the leg work they started this could've been great. Good overall though. 3.5 Stars."

[5.0] "Better than the opener, still pretty average too. 10 minutes flew by, the rhythm was also quick and it didn't drag a second. It's just too simple and so it didn't reach and higher level of quality. More or less the standard quality you would be expect. **1/2"

[6.0] "I enjoyed this match and both performed acceptable, although there were some little botches. in today's world, it is very normal to see people's hate for someone without a logical reason! someone just spread some news (mostly fake) about a person and people just start to hate. Jericho knows what he's doing and he's not destroying a talent like Hook obviously! Hook FTW Title reign has become so boring with hook and he needed a new direction for bigger steps in the Pro Wrestling world. moreover, we should consider that Jericho is 53 and performing like this for a man in this age, is very impressive. don't take legends for granted! [6.0] "One of the best parts of the three big round-robin tournaments in Japan is the upsets. Ayabe was fantastic in this role. He throws a mean elbow and moves well for his lanky size. Miyahara is the perfect opponent, he's always shined with simplicity. The crowd loves Kento, but they want that upset. And they played into it perfectly. Every big move from Kento is fought through. Wonderfully executed. 3.25 Stars."

[6.0] "It's silly, but damn I enjoyed it. They're just finding shit and using it on a go, plus the spots they had planned felt natural and could happen in a normal brawl. Plus the image of Kane and the referee chasing after Show and Raven in a golfcart is fantastic. If you want to do that hardcore bollocks then do it like that."

[4.0] "I enjoyed watching this match, but it was a complete mess. It was all over the place. You had middling outside brawling which ended in a awkward spot where Bushi just falls over ringside after dragging Kidd back to the ring. A mist spot that did not even play into a pinfall, but instead proceeded into the ref getting knocked over which set up for Gabe getting the finish. It felt more like a bunch of ideas than a match."

[7.0] "By far Naomi's best performance since her return. For a change a fortunate DQ finish. Nothing spectacular, but little better than expected."

[7.0] "Very easily Anzai's best performance since becoming champ. There's some actual creativity here, Anazi gets punished for going back to his big jumping knee, but still looks like the top guy because he's willing to stand and trade with Honda. There are a few things timing-wise where both guys were a little off, but they bumped well into each other and got the crowd behind them. 3.5 Stars,"

[8.0] "The pinnacle of WWE spectacle. Even before the finishing sequence of run ins and story beats, Reings and Rhodes delivered another very good main event, they have great chemistry and the clear dynamic of 'top heel' vs 'top babyface' makes for an atmosphere that is seldom seen in modern wrestling. The work is very good, Cody played the babyface in perill, as he should, the crowd is hot for the entire thing, and even the weapon spots were done tastefully and the match never devolved into a sequence of overly choreographed furniture spots, which is always a real danger in modern no DQ matches. And then Jimmy Uso comes into the ring and what follows is 5 minutes that no other company in the world is capable of delivering. The sheer starpower, the spectale, the reaction of the crowd, it's an all time moment. The match itself is forgotten about, but the crowd didn't care and neither did I, it's one of the rare times where WWE's focus on moments above all actually worked for me. Rhodes' ultimate victory is forever attached to that all time moment and the post-match hammers home the message: this is the new guy. Reigns bows out of the main event scene, for the time being, and ends a career and company defining run on top, which saw him carry the company through it's most troubled period since the mid 90s and make a new top guy for this new era on his out. It was very good in the moment but the moments attached to this match and its symbolic meaning will probably make it mean even more in years to come"

[9.0] "These two teams had the really difficult task of coming after Ospreay vs. Danielson and despite that, they were still able to deliver a great match. They worked their asses off, put their bodies through hell and made it work. It was obviously a spotfest and a really fun one. The Bucks went total PWG-mode and FTR looked really good despite not being used to the stipulation. Especially Cash, good Lord he was just flying around and taking crazy bumps non-stop. The guy fights like the rent is due everytime. There were a couple of issues such as the bad preparation of certain spots but everything looked good and the action was super entertaining. The powerplex of the ladders was awesome and Cash's suicide through the table was crazy. Also loved the 450 through the table and the piledriver on the ladder in quick succession. In the end Dax seems about to grab the belt but "Scapegoat" Jack Perry came out and shoved him down the ladder allowing Nichloas to grab the titles. The reveal was brillant and the "o cry me a river" chants afterwards were just the icing on the cake. Legit one my loudest pops of the night. Great match. 9/10 - 4.5*/5*"

[5.0] "The fatal 4 way tag team with two active competitors stipulation is one of my least favorite stipulations. With all the chaos added to it, the referee is put in a position where they either have to act stupid or completely passive. This poor official chose the latter. If this was simply a tornado tag team match, I'd have loved it."

[10.0] "The greatest match that has ever took place on the American wrestling scene and one of the greatest matches that I have ever seen in my life. An absolute masterpiece, perfect under every aspect. The crowd has to be one of hottest crowds I've heard, the "we're not worthy" chant says it all. They told a simply yet effective story with Bryan trying to bring things to the mat while Ospreay tried to escape Bryan's dangerous submissions by using his speed and athleticism. The action was just unbelievable, everything they did just looked devasting and the excecution was absolutely flawless. The oscutter on the apron followed by the diving hidden blade off the apron was deadly. The whole oscutter into the flying busaiku knee was absolutely mindblowing. And the ending was legit one of the best endings I've seen in this sport with both men, exhausted, charging their finishers in two opposite corners. It's their last shot, whoever comes out of that automatically wins the whole match and in the end it was Ospreay who hit the hidden blade that basically gave him the win. Loved how they based the whole story on Bryan not bieng as fast or quick as Will and yet he found himself in that situation and Ospreay was able to outwork thaks to his speed. Will, after the hidden blade, hit a tiger driver '91 (with the seizure spot, omg) and after another hidden blade (not seeing the referee calling the doctor to check on Bryan in the process), he got the actual victory. Just watch it, it's the greatest fucking spectacle you'll ever see. Bryan passed the torch to Ospreay, and Will can actually call himself the best in the world. 10/10 - 5*/5*"

[4.0] "Is this the first time that Murashima wrestlers or did I forget everything about this guy? Anyway this was your usual Road to- show match in which the youngest athlete eats the pin in less than 10 minutes, this was it. I would say fine since it was the opener despite it's pretty enough a bad match. **1/4"

[7.0] "I never thought I'd enjoy a Gunner/Jaxson Ryker match but here we are, back then he was decent & improving and it resulted in this big action-packed brawl between him and good ol' James Storm. Storm was always phenomenal in stipulation matches like this and you could feel the intensity in what they were offering. It wasn't perfect, but it was the kind of brawl you'd expect to see from this rivalry at the time, and it was great fun."

[10.0] "Absolutely incredible match, two of the greatest of all time absolutely giving it their all. Highlight has to be the os-cutter countered by the busaiku knee, the impact was insane and it really got me going. The fighting felt tense and desperate, and Ospreay's win felt earned. Despite the length the match never felt slow or boring, kept the energy up for the entire time. Hot crowd of course also helped, but all in all I can't think of a single complaint about this match. Absolutely excellent."

[4.0] "So yeah, this is the one where muta impregnates someone because his semen gets mixed with his mist. This match would give us monster bono(aka akebono as a baby). The match was quite mid for this content, while the ending was unique, but the entrance of muta was awesome as hell."

[9.0] "I LOVED this match. It told a really effective story of the fiesty and devious challengers fighting tooth and nail against dominant champions. Yuka and Mizuki are two of the best in the world, especially when they're in "bully mode" like they were at a couple of points in this match. Magi Rabi made Free Wifi look like a million bucks in this one; a couple of the near falls were very convincing, especially the callback to free wifi's previous win over Mizuki. Also there was a crazy bump from Mizuki off the top! Would've been a 10, but it got a little bit slow during the pad spots, but that's a very small nitpick. Still, highly recommend this one!"

[8.0] "Much better than their previous matches, Angle and Roode this time settled their score in a good old Steel Cage match and it delivered perfectly with lots of intensity and Angle doing his famous Moonsault spot again that he liked to do during these kind of matches when he already had a busted knee, this guy was crazy to entertain the fans. I really thought it was excellent, well-paced and with a good ending this time, unlike their previous meetings."

[9.0] "[ ****.5 ] / I was really excited for this match when it was first announced, I wasn't a big fan of Will's heavyweight run back in New Japan always finding most of his stuff "boring" as I'd started to notice most of his matches felt the same. But once he had gone to AEW I started to actually really enjoy Will's matches and with the help of the greatest wrestler of all time, Danielson made me really really enjoy Will Ospreay and even made me become a fan of his again. This match was a very fun time watching it with some of my best friends and just being mesmerized with great professional wrestling. While personally I didn't think this was a 5 star classic or even "The Best Match On American Soil" this is still one of the best matches of the year, and personally I believe this is the best Will Ospreay match since his match with Hiromu at WK14. Bryan Danielson is on a goddamn tear having one of the best runs of his career in his final year as a full time wrestler and it's really gonna suck when he's gone. Both are amazing professional wrestlers and I'm very excited to see where both men go this year."

[9.0] "A good ending to the show. And for me personally, the finish of the match was 50/50. I didn't know who exactly won, on the one hand Swerve, because he is very fiery now, and on the other hand Joe didn't hold the title very much after interrupting the MJF's 400+ days reign. I always like this unpredictability of matches. I put 7/10 on the match itself, but due to unpredictability, I raise the score to 9/10."

[7.0] "A Submission match between Angle and Aries could only be very good so of course it was, nothing exceptional and it never reached an impressive level but everything was clean with some sick counters & transitions with two guys clicking in the ring together without much surprise. Angle was already starting to regress by this time due to his knee injuries but he was still excellent, so in this match he more than got the job done with Aries and it was solid."

[10.0] "I had no doubt that the match would be so exciting. These two guys know what they're doing. And since Bryan is performing last year of full-time wrestler, I think that this moment was the passing of the torch from Bryan to Will. And the ending is emotional, it's still a keyfabe, but I believed that it was really Bryan's shoulder that fell out."

[7.0] "All-action brawl between two of TNA's best at the time, perfectly suited for a big stipulation TV main event with two names as excellent as themselves and I still would have liked a few minutes as they cooked so well together in the ring with some creative spots but the end result is more than satisfying. Never a dull moment, good spots and a really perfect ending, I really enjoyed it."

[7.0] "Just interesting enough for me to call it good. It helps that the carnival matches so far have been generally poor, so this didn't have trouble standing out. Obviously this is nowhere near some of their bigger matches, but the wrinkle of both guys playing possum was fun, and made this one unique. I'm sure this won't be the last time we see these two wrestle 1-on-1. 3.5 Stars."

[8.0] "The ending of Dynasty is exactly what it had to be, the absolute triumph of Swerve. Apart from the ending which would have been very cool but the had to change it due a little botch the match was good, everything was built around Swerve and in the end he was really able to do it, all time moment. ****1/4"

[7.0] "Definitely better than their long Bound For Glory match, and I'm not surprised, because here it was a match in the same style, but much more condensed and therefore more easily digestible, with a much better crowd to accompany the action in the ring. Roode & Angle had a good chemistry together and it was an excellent TV match between them, we couldn't have asked for more. But once again, a strange ending prevented me from giving it a higher rating."

[10.0] "The infamous "flippy shit" match that created two future stars overnight. Because of both how influential the match was and how entertaining it was, there's no other rating than a 10 you can give to the match. The seventeen minutes just fly by with insane athleticism that made not only Ricochet a dream signing for WWE eighteen months later, but also Ospreay into one of the most outstanding wrestlers of a generation. And the fact so many boomers (including Vader, who made his career on outstanding flippy shit) had conniptions over the match only makes it much more fun."

[5.0] "This is the first time Ive seen anything from Starboy Charlie, but his look is interesting. Hes definitely an upgrade on Vinnie Massaro, but thats pretty faint praise. He seems pretty athletic but I didnt get much more from him in this. Charlie and Ohara have an entertaining first stretch, with Ohara putting in the work. Marufuji then gets involved, he is not putting much effort in here and hes really slowed down, probably made to look worse by how fast Charlie and Alexander are by comparison. Its pretty sad to say I was looking forward to Marufuji tapping out, but ever since his match with Ibushi hes been really downhill. The rest of this was pretty standard, Ohara and Alexander put on a great show as expected, but its nothing special and sadly Marufuji is the weak link, really not adding anything. Surprisingly Alexander gets the win here over Ohara, ending this pretty inoffensive but not particularly special matchup."

[6.0] "On the face of it this is a relatively short showcase between two rookies, one close to being a green but complete worker, and the other a bit earlier on in his journey. Look a bit deeper though and this feels quite special; theres a magnetism between both Owada and Oiwa and a chemistry which has developed from their tag bouts each teaming with more experienced workers. Owada has a surprising amount of in ring presence for someone so early into their career, his movements have character and he already has the inklings of a distinct style. Oiwa is excellent here for someone of his age and experience, his inherent charisma reminds me of Uemura or SANADA, a classically styled puro babyface. This matchup is by no means a classic, but its surprisingly good for its runtime and feels like a matchup you might look back to in 10 years as an intriguing start to the careers of two potential greats."

[7.0] "Nice match as usual between these teams, though hearing that it was going to happen again didnt exactly get my interest. Theyve fought so many times that it is hard to get interested again. Odds are this is not going to sit well with Gunther, who has been tired of Imperium screwing up more than once. New Day getting a win helps them a bit, but they still need something new."

[5.0] "Great fun match helped break up the card. Heel Jericho making hook look so strong! Like super strong!"

[2.0] "So Suzuki works the arm of Rei for 4 minutes, then Saito decides to hit a clothesline with that same arm, pick up Suzuki and piledrive him, and win the match. The definition of lazy from the worst Saito brother. 1 Star."

[8.0] "The Sheamus and Cesaro tag team was one of the best ideas to come out of the new Raw in 2016, and against The New Day so early in the Bar story, they put on a really good match. We all had our doubts as to whether the two men could co-exist, but during the match, they showed a begrudging respect forged through fire in the way only a best-of-seven series could. At the same time, it was the right time for the New Day to drop the titles. So, in all, good match."

[6.0] "Considering the match-up itself felt very wrong, the actual match wasn't that bad. You can't avoid having the same story for every battle royale with Nia Jax, especially when the brand's roster is filled with all the women's tag-team wrestlers. However, except for the table spot on the outside and some clumsiness, Nia was rocking this - especially the moment with Maxxine, who was my highlight of this match. The ending was great, at least as great as it could have been, given the circumstances."

[7.0] "As much as I can't stand Kendrick, him vs. TJP for the headline 205 Live feud wasn't the worst idea, because it did lead to a decent few matches."

[10.0] "If you wanted to call this the greatest match you've ever seen, I would not fault you, and I very nearly gave it that tag myself. It had every facet that a classic should have; great action, exceptional selling, tremendous facial expressions, a compelling story, and a crowd that was going absolutely bananas for everything. Will Ospreay proved that, bell-to-bell, he's the best in the business and it's not open for debate anymore. It just isn't."

[3.0] "This match should have been decent at the very least but both men treated this like a house show match/angle rather then have a TV match. A DQ finish in your final segment before the biggest show of the year. Another thing is that Ahmed, the face, has no friends when Camp Cornette show up. Even when his partners show up, they casually walk to the ring while it's 3 on 1. Pretty crap."

[5.0] "Another nothing match prolonging a feud from the summer putting people to sleep despite it only going on for six minutes."

[10.0] "Bruv 10/10 The greatest match to ever happen on Aew. The best wrestler in the world right now vs. The greatest American wrestler of all time. People were very hyped for this match, and luckily we all got what we wanted No one can not like this even if they close their eyes and only hear the sound of punches and kicks. it was full of spots, speed, and best surprise moments The kick outs of Will Ospreay's match with Konosuke Takeshita were more exciting and breathtaking, but this match can easily be called the best match of 2024. it was absolutely classic."

[4.0] "I'm expecting this to be the best match from these two this tournament, so I'll give them that. This was a classic big-man match that didn't try to overcomplicate things. Solid enough for me. 2.25 Stars."

[5.0] "Really liking what Davey Boy Smit Jr. has gotten out of his two carnival matches so far. The slow pace has been great for putting shine on his opponents. Ashino does his suplex stuff here, which is fine, but I do feel like he could've been a more interesting underdog. 2.75 Stars."

[4.0] "Well, after the Battleground pop, Bayley slid down the card pretty quickly as she remains the red-headed stepchild of the Horsewomen. Really, continuing the Dana Brooke feud? Snooze."

[7.0] "This was very good, but the outcome was never in doubt. This was clearly just intended to build the veteran team a bit before Dynasty."

[9.0] "I decided to revisit this match because looking back I wasn't very comfortable with this match being my standard for a 5 star match thus far. Recency bias absolutely played into my rating and I don't think it was quite up to that level upon revisiting it. I still think the match itself was fantastic due to the context and emotions in play, but it isn't quite up to to standard as a 5 star match now that I'm removed from it more. That being said, I'm leaving my original review after this for the sake of cataloging my initial reaction. [ORIGINAL REVIEW: If this match was held under any other set of circumstances, it would not come anywhere close to a 5 star match. However, under these specific set of circumstances with it being Sting's retirement match, it ended up being a 5 star match for me. The in ring action made for an extremely fun spot-fest with some especially brutal bumps from Darby Allin, and the Young Bucks made for perfect heat magnets to really hammer home the fan support behind Sting and Darby. My biggest criticism for this match would have to be how long Sting's sons stay in the ring/near ringside during the match considering how Sting and Darby were the faces, but I easily forgave it since they were out there to get revenge as part of an ongoing story. It's also Sting's last match, and I'm not gonna fault the man for wanting to share it with his sons for as long as he could. While it wasn't as great a match as some other matches on the card, the gravitas and emotionally charged story easily made it my match of the night.]"

[8.0] "That was the traditional CMLL Best Two Out Of Three Falls booking where the first two falls are rushed, while the fans in Arena Mexico went bananas on Titan's heelwork. I'm not a fan of too much outside sequences, but Titan's ones are cool. This is against the lucha libre traditions, that plus ripping Mistico's mask made him public enemy number one. Otherwise, both lads put on some great submissions. Their locks had some meaning throughout their bout. That was a nice point of storytelling. Some sick dives and high-flying moves done by Mistico. The lad is good at it. Another wild and fired up CMLL Super Viernes main-event, yup. And a pretty cool showing for Titan against such a God on Earth like Mistico."

[5.0] "Honestly, it was the best time to lose the championship of The System and I was very interested in Mike Bailey becoming the champion. Overall, my expectations were higher"

[0.0] "Garbage match. Useless feud. Jericho needs to go away. fans chanted for him to retire. He's so awful on screen and needs to take 6-9 months off TV. Hook looks stupid in the loss and their offense looked horrible. All offense looked bad. Hook to weak to effectively throw and suplex Jericho. Jericho too old and ineffective to jump and help hook hit these moves."

[9.0] "Wrestling is sometimes at its best when you throw two people in the ring who just want to murder each other. That's what this match was. Shibata gained the upper hand early on and forced Goto to match his physicality and intensity, so by the end you were truly able to see Goto as credible enough to slay the wild beast that was Shibata. You go from thinking "This guy is outclassed. He is going to die." to fully getting behind Goto to smash his way to victory. Every forearm, lariat, and headbutt became a little more fierce. It was an organic escalation of violence that felt very much earned. Goto's victory felt very much earned. And that was the biggest achievement of this match for me. Yezls, the action itself was exciting. Hard hitting matches like this typically are, especially when you have someone who is just a master at this sort of stuff in the ring, but the story they laid out over the course of this match is where it really shined. THAT is how the blows in this bout began to feel more real. It wasn't just the sound of flesh being pounded into oblivion. It was the weight and meaning behind each one. One of the most excellent brawls you will ever see from these two men."

[4.0] "Worst of their four matches. Saw the typifal spots you have seen in every bucks ladder match. Finish beyond obvioue and everyone knew it would be two weeks ago. The bucks matches are played out, story had no heat and this had no interest in the match. No need for ladder match in this one but hooray, bucks once again gift themselves the titles. Jack Perry is not a surprise or shock and the ladder tip was obvious once FTR climbed down steps when they could have just won by grabbing the belt."

[6.0] "This was solid and probably would've been much better without the weird promo before. The after-math was weird. The actual beat-down was great, but within minutes they made a surprise betrayal extremely predictable. The decision is great for Ludwig Kaiser. Vinci on the other hand as a singles wrestler just isn't WWE material, but I'm hoping for the best."

[8.0] "While it didn't quite reach the highs of the Danielson vs. Ospreay match, this was still a very good world title main event. Samoa Joe's slowing down these days, but he still has an excellent sense of storytelling in his matches and utilizes his offense very efficiently. Swerve getting his crowning moment was the icing on the cake."

[8.0] "I had a good time watching this match. Again they tried some longer shots that worked with the wrestler to create surprises, which elevated the action a lot. Miz is trying really hard to match the energy and the athletics of his peers. I don't think it's necessary, but respect! The match also had some unexpectedly good near falls. The teaser for a change in DIY at the end is something I expect and fear at the same time - simply the bad aftertaste of a rivalry that was breathtaking, but...well, literally breathtaking, too."

[7.0] "Unfortunately, I never really got into this match after the Ospreay vs. Danielson match. It also doesn't help I felt really cold on the story going into this match due to the, shall we say, "controversial" segment they aired hyping up Jack Perry's return. Most of it felt like noise that didn't come together cohesively for me, but it was still very good noise."

[5.0] "As a go-home match before HBK's big Wrestlemania moment, it did it's job. HBK Leif is a perfectly fine opponent for a TV showcase for Shawn and led into Shawn's history when Marty shows up. I loved Bret on commentary, just added another level to their match at Mania as it felt real (knowing the two men, it probably was). Leif and HBK worked well together, apart from the rebound powerbomb spot, and Shawn actually gave Leif a lot more then he had to. Overall, a fine but not a hugely good lead in to the WM main event."

[6.0] "Solid match here, but you know these two could've gone crazier had they really wanted to. All the interference and cheating eventually added up to Lee winning, but they worked around that stuff well. 3 Stars."

[10.0] "While I didn't think that this was quite "the greatest match to ever happen on American soil" I did think it was fantastic and awesome to see in an American wrestling ring. Other people can more eloquently explain why this match was so great. All I'll add is that even though Ospreay is a fantastic wrestler, I'm not the biggest fan of his wrestling style because I think he lacks a true personality with how he carries himself in the ring and it hurts his in ring storytelling a lot, but his work with Danielson here was stellar and it brought out some of the best I've seen out of him."

[9.0] "Masaaki Mochizuki vs Don Fujii 5.11.05-The match fucking rocks. Vastly different from the other matches to this point Don just destroys mochi in quick fashion for a majority of the match and gives him color early on. He really was the star of this match but the ending was clunky."

[3.0] "honestly man im so tired of chris jericho its the same thing with him all the time in a loop. Go baby face he gets staler then a bag of chips thats been open since 2016 (surprising the last time jericho was interesting) and then he goes heel and starts a new faction. We need a break from jericho man he doesnt add anything by any means to the weekly product. This is not a necessary feud or match at all. 2 stars"

[7.0] "I thought this was a pretty good match. I do wish Toni Storm's matches under her current character were more exciting, but it is what it is."

[7.0] "Good match by itself, but something felt like it was missing. I think the history and newfound animosity of these two should have been played up more in the story going into this. It was really close to greatness, but it lacked that "IT" factor to push it over the edge in my opinion."

[6.0] "DBS is well past it but they booked him strong here. He had more or less all the offence here and while it wasn't particularly engrossing, the crowd really got behind Yuma as the babyface. It worked as a dominant big man style match but won't be remembered by tomorrow. ***1/4"

[4.0] "The match itself was pretty middling, but the result of Jericho winning over Hook at a PPV made it even worse. Maybe the story will lead somewhere interesting (hopefully leading to Jericho retiring yet another pointless title belt and getting Hook involved in an actual title scene), but right now, this was a real lowlight of the show."

[6.0] "This was fine for what it was, but a garbage brawl with no real psychology is never going to be that good. Raven's blade-job was absolutely brutal."

[4.0] "Cool moment for Willow to win a title at a PPV like this, but the match itself wasn't really deserving of a PPV spot in my opinion. I think Julia's injured though, so it makes sense why this was so lackluster. However, it doesn't make the match itself any better."

[6.0] "Solid match from four of the best wrestlers in WWE. The finish may not have gone as smoothly as planned, but it was clever and I certainly give points for that. It was also cool to see Andrade looking like himself again, with a clear motivation to go out there and remind people of how world-class he is. I imagine this won't be the last time these four share a ring in some capacity, and I hope I'm right about that. 3 stars, 6 out of 10."

[7.0] "I guess this match tried to use a fresh/modern approach to a David vs. Goliath match, where the story was as simple as ever, but the way how they structured the match, which moves they used and when they did biggest high-spots was different compared to what became a 'go-to formula' in recent years. I liked what I saw, but if this match will get a bunch of votes, I think there will be some fans that won't like this one."

[6.0] "Solid match by itself, but I couldn't be asked to care about it too much and nothing they did felt exemplary enough to make me more interested. Cool to see House of Black pick up a win though."

[10.0] "It wasn't as athletic as Danielson/Ospreay, it didn't have the big spots of the ladder match, but in the end this was the match I personally gravitated to most on the card. This match felt like a genuine crowning moment for a guy who has been climbing the ladder for a long, long time. I still remember a masked guy called Killshot walking into Lucha Underground and etching himself in the minds of the fans with crazy, sometimes extremely bloody and violent matches. It's been tremendous to watch him put together the final aspects of his game in AEW, ever since the utterly brilliant Hangman feud I've been locked in on the idea that he should be world champion and now it finally happened. Credit to Samoa Joe, he did better as champion than I expected and put up a good showing in this match as well, but from the entrances on it's clear whose house this was. Not only was my emotional investment greatest here but I really appreciated how this match told a really strong story, in line with the build of the feud. Joe had more power, vicious strikes and tough as nails to boot, but Strickland is not just resilient but also powered seemingly by fate itself, able to withstand every attack and keep fighting back, a man in the zone and just doing an amazing job in every respect. Without relying on never before seen athletics, dodgy head drops, or dizzying high spots, this match was able to follow two extremely hot matches and still captured all the love of the fans for Strickland's title win. This is the most excited I've been about the world title scene in AEW since MJF's reign started to go sour last fall. Top notch, and well deserved."

[8.0] "This match probably should have been a little shorter as an opener, but it was still a fantastic match that paced itself really well around the time they did go. I absolutely loved PAC's selling here and Okada impressed on his offense and heel mannerisms as well."

[5.0] "Probably the best singles match I've seen from Anderson, though that's not really saying too much. Garrini was fine as usual."

[8.0] "Ryo Saito vs Masaaki Mochizuki 2.6.05-An interesting matchup where I think time should've been shaven off for the better. Saito was interesting as a challenger but he wasn't on the same level as everyone else in the title convo up to this point imo. Another killer finish by Mochi"

[7.0] "Enjoyable match between these six that was violent and kept a good energy and pace. Some gruesome action at points."

[10.0] "What an epic sendoff for the legendary Icon! Let's address this first, it was not a perfect wrestling match. Not a lot of money in it. Ordinary moves in the ring and typical spots off the stage, and that's about it. But the atmosphere, shiesh, here we go. Almost everything around this match - from Ric Flair starting it all over again in the year 2024, then the crowd singing SEEAAARCHHIIIIIIING SEEK AND DESTROY during the hero of the night's cinematic entrance with his sons & Sting's coat falling on top of one of the Bucks while Darby's suicide diving both of 'em at the sound of the opening bell, to the carefully timed signature no-sells and a hilarious Bucks reference to HBK's and Flair's WrestleMania match - yeah, everything was built up to be abso-lutely perfect. AEW managed to tick off every important attribute of Sting's career during this farewell story. As for the match, a mention of Darby Allin's crazy spot is crucial when talking about it. The way they filmed it, it looked like he was trying to fucking die, lmao. Gotta give props to the Young Bucks too, as they're the ones who shut their haters up by generating tremendous heel heat in this dramatic and intense fight, plus behind the curtain they persuaded Sting to end his career on such a high note. Alright, what more can be said? He's not reading this, but thank you, Sting, for the career you've had, the matches you gave us and for all the years you've been entertaining us with maybe the coolest look in wrestling business."

[5.0] "People were complaining about this match being on the pre-show because it's a title unification match, but the pre-show is unfortunately where it belonged. Nothing too exciting happened here, but Jay White was good and it's nice to reduce the belt clutter on AEW a little bit."
