151 | today 03:51 | [5.0] "Just as the same as their bout in Nagoya but with a little bit more improvement. This time it is for the IWGP Tag Team Championship. Proper tag team cooperation and good synergy between ELP and Hikuleo. KENTA and Owens on their same old tricks as always. KENTA faking out running the ropes, only to nonchalantly kick ELP's head is somewhat savage yet funny. The distraction at the end ruined the match for me, but still a decent match on its own right. ***" |

155 | today 03:28 | AZDOM wrote about Hazuki vs. Saya Kamitani: [10.0] "What does it mean to fight? What is "will? " What is "spirit? " You could probably find the answer to that in this match. Even now, I struggle to put into words just how incredible this match was. Hazuki... Saya Kamitani... two extremely talented wrestlers who on this day... for a rough 23 minutes... ascended to a level that many cannot even DREAM of reaching. They brought out the absolute best in each other. Their chemistry was perfect, their spots were flawless, their offense looked better than ever, their energy engulfed the entire gym that day. Their passion enveloped each person who would bear witness to this glorious match. Hazuki's "I'm not going to lose" ferocity clashing with Saya's "I will not be beaten" vigor made for a match that i will never forget for the rest of my days. Hazuki laying in her attacks in bunches, desperately trying to put Saya away, desperately trying to obtain the championship that she was willing to DIE for. And there were many times where she came close. But so did all the others. And they all failed just the same because this wasn't just any champion, it was the Golden Phoenix; someone who has snatched victory away from her opponents in the most unlikely, awe inspiring ways. Yet, within the context of this bout... Hazuki made the people BELIEVE. You could tell through all those excellent near falls that her supporters had genuine faith that she could finally be the one to clip the wings of the Golden Phoenix. And THAT, is the magic of this match. The thunderous roars, the ferocious screams, the pure rage of the Wild Heart took this match to the next level. You could FEEL... really fucking FEEL the intensity that she was bringing throughout all of this. And that in turn elevated Saya to the point where she was forced to surpass all of her past remarkable performances. And THIS forced Hazuki to step up her game once again. And it just went on and on and on and on. This continuous back and forth action and exchange of emotion allowed these two to operate at an insanely high clip, where they took the versions of this match that people had imagined in their heads and gave them an even BETTER version; a version that served as a beautiful representation of what makes this sport so uniquely special. This is something so magnificent that it just cannot be understated, yet also cannot be properly described. No matter how much I waffle on I will not be able to do this match enough justice because this isn't a match that can be explained through words, but something that must be felt with the soul. Saya Kamitani expressed after the match, "Hazuki... you put your life on the line for this title, so I was able to fight with a lot of passion." I couldn't have said it any better. And if two people evoking such feelings within one another, driving each other to greater heights, isn't wrestling... then I don't know what is." |

157 | today 03:12 | Dune wrote about Michael McGillicutty vs. Tyson Kidd: [7.0] "Some sloppiness from both talent, but otherwise a great traditional match. Certainly the best I've ever seen from McGuillicuty, who does a decent job getting heat for himself by acting like a cowering heel. Tyson Kidd carries with a lot of the flashier moves but this is by no means a one-man show. Underrated match, and a great showcase of what NXT could be at the time, gets the new vibe across perfectly." |

This man fits a role that I didn't really expect to see him do in this match: He's a bully. I mean this a shoot style David and Goliath where it looks like Volk's gonna rip Naruse's limbs off. Naruse does have some great hope spots but Volk just dominates him on the mat but surprisingly Naruse's striking game appears to be better. But Naruse tries to play at Volk's game and that was never going to work out for him. Volk takes him to the woodshed and rips and tears at Naruse. Great stuff. ****" |

Styles relies on BULLET CLUB to rough up the Ace at first, then he works him over in this unaimable and somewhat bland manner until Tana matches him with his famous courage. He even takes the low road, responding to a low blow from AJ with one of his own when the ref's back was turned. This feels like a main event match that was left unwritten, so as to say, it feels very empty. Lots of room for improvement, but the sections that did have essence were fun enough. [3]" |
162 | today 01:31 | [] "This match was pretty good. Nothing stands out to me. It was nice to watch, but it felt like was going for too long. I found myself looking at the time in the show to see how much longer it was. The ending was a little underwhelming as well." |

Neither mans best match, but definitely a career highlight for both men." |

How do we not get a lot more of him? Disco focused on getting heat the whole time and not really trying to make the match entertaining. It really brought the match down. The backstage segment in the middle of the match also showed how much importance this match has. Especially since the segment was not needed for any storyline of any sorts. The ending was so weak as well. Please never let me see this match again." |
166 | today 01:07 | AZDOM wrote about Momo Watanabe vs. Saya Kamitani: [7.0] "This was one really took a while to get going. I feel like Watanabe's Odeo Tai heel shtick was ROUGH early on. This match is too uneven to call it great, but it was still very much worthwhile." |

A ZSJ match was the least the wrestling world could give to Makabe from his contributions, and I think they both held up their end of the bargain. But to me, this suffers from a general issue I have with Makabe. It's that whenever the match steers away from being on the mat, Makabe is outclassed by his opponent, and the overall quality levels down. Similarly, how when Zach was getting his start in Japan, he wasn't anywhere near the convincing standing up as he is now. But then again, technical wrestling and matches based around riffing on that mat aren't necessarily my flavor of the month anyway. But I won't deny how tight and quality that mat work actually is. Overall, 3.75 Stars." |

These 2 put on one of my favorite kinds of matches, 2 big dudes who can move and wont stop doing wild shit. Dijak is one of my new favorites and it makes me really sad that Vince either didnt see this match, or did and still decided to ruin him. The chair springboard, the top rope Spanish fly, and the power bomb sequences were all super hype. I love this match." |
170 | today 00:54 | [] "These two teams have great wrestling psychology and chemistry. They had the crowd cheering and booing after every movement. It started a little slow for my liking, but it didn't take long before they had be invested in the match. I am very confused on why Chavo left his corner to yell at Taylor. And why Taylor was rarely the legal man. Overall it was an okay match. I wish that the cruiserweights would've gotten offense in because it felt like it was just Finley controlling the whole match while hinting that the cruiserweight would get a hot tag or something that would get some heat going, but it never happened." |
171 | today 00:53 | Prince Osborne wrote about Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage: [9.0] "This was a fantastic brawl that became the culmination of this enticing rivalry. Sharing a rich depth of history, I expect a good battle in these men's worst days, but the stipulation loosened them up to explore the arena, creating memories in the initial stage already. Their incredible chemistry as opponents was on point during the midpoint of the match where Christian gained the upper hand. The odds from Wayne & Killswitch nullified by Garcia & Menard were cool and the utilization of Spike was creatively ridiculous. I had to shut my eyes for the constant low blows since it felt overkill. Adam's victory was written all over this match ever since it was announced, and I'm happy to see him as a champion in this generation. 4.5 out of 5 stars!" |

This was super fun, I expected this to be a decent brawl considering this is an older New Jack but man him and Necro kept up with each other pretty well. This is a brawl that is bloody and visceral with some real smart usage of weapons. Even when it seems like Jack is impervious to pain, Necro just whoops his ass throwing as many objects as humanly possible on The Original Gangsta. Don't get it twisted though, Jack also messed the dude up plenty of times. But when Necro hit the sidewalk slam on the double chairs, I thought that was it. But New Jack is a tough son of a bitch and how I dare I assume otherwise. Necro appears like he's going to do Jack's finisher "The 187" (A Diving Chairshot to the Dome) But Jack smartly grabs Necro's beard and does a deadly driver on an open chair. Jack then gets a chair/light tube concoction and does a diving splash with it on Necro's skull. To summarize; this is a fun brawl with some gross bumps and a satisfying finish. ****" |
175 | today 00:43 | [3.0] "Inconsequential and utterly boring. It's bad enough that Gallows n Gun make me feel nothing but having the gall to try and escalate the empty tension after 15 minutes of less-than-nought heat and failing to do so in the faces of two charismatic supernovas like Goto and Shibata was very annoying. Their first match from WK9 in much better. [2.25]" |
176 | today 00:42 | uselessdollthing wrote about Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle: [2.0] "Coming back to this match after watching way more Iron Man matches, I've got to say that this was probably the worst that I've seen of so far. I know that its good heel work from Brock to take advantage of the system to weaken Angle with that chair but the problem is that he does this way too early into the match. This prevents Angle from being able to really showcase anything decent in this match as he has to sell himself being extremely weak in this match. Lesnar isn't even the underdog in this match so it prevents me from making any excuses about this. I've personally never really liked Lesnar's style so I was very uninterested in this match." |
177 | today 00:41 | uselessdollthing wrote about Kenny Omega vs. PAC: [5.0] "Pretty weird match, I have alot of mixed feelings about it. Reminds me alot of the Kurt vs Brock Iron Man match which involves Brock dominating Kurt due to a chairshot which is what PAC does here. I hate that match because it involves that a bit too much and also doesn't leave much for Kurt to do. This match improves on that as its only 30 minutes and also builds up to that moment instead of doing it right away. On the other hand, I feel like the stipulation isn't really used all at much, this did not really feel like a Iron Man match and rather a long singles bout. There was still alot of empty space. The ending is something I'm mixed on as well, I think its cool and unexpected but at the same time kind of doesn't make sense and is sort of thrown together. Really cool moments but also things that drag this one down for me." |

186 | today 00:20 | cactus wrote about CM Punk vs. Jerry Lawler: [6.0] "This features a great heel showing from CM Punk, with him even sneaking in a cheeky bladejob at a time where that sort of thing was strictly forbidden. The match we got was basic, but it did everything it needed to do well. Punk offers his chin for a free punch in an act to belittle Lawler, but Lawler throws a classic Lawler right and Punk sells his shock well. Punk is constantly trash talking and is even singing at Lawler as he works him over. Lawler is physically limited by this point so they keep the action basic and not to do anything too flashy. The audience here absolutely sucked here. Lawler gets in a few hope and signature spots and this forces the audience to make a bit of noise. This built up Punk as a heel while adding fuel to the fire of his feud with Cena. I'm sure if this match happened 5-10 years prior, these two would make magic together." |
187 | today 00:17 | DENDY wrote about Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Takeshi Rikio: [7.0] "This was weird placement on the card, with a weird champion and a weird challenger. While Tanahashi would grow to become an all time great, at this point he shouldnt have been challenging for the GHC belt on a stage this big, Rikio needed someone more respected. The crowd needed a breather after the last two bouts and they just couldnt get interested in this, partially because of who was involved and partially because they were worn out from two instant classics coming beforehand. While its popular to hate on Rikio, he was a great worker who could get the crowd behind him at points. There were fun spots here and the crowd werent totally dead for it, but they struggled by making the smaller and less established Tanahashi seem like more of a threat than he shouldve been. What needed to be a David vs Goliath storyline became a bit muddier with NOAH not wanting Rikio to play a heel up against a NJPW talent. Ultimately this is a really good match, and a bit of an underrated one which wouldve scored a couple points higher with a better position on the card and a couple changes to how it was booked. Rikio comes away looking like a beast of a man, and he really did have something special which NOAH clearly saw when they popped the belt on him, its just a shame it never properly landed. Rikio eventually takes control and gets the win in a good match after some brutal slaps to Tanahashi in a closing stretch that never really got intense enough. This wasnt perfect but it was a fun watch. Definitely underrated and worth a watch." |

189 | today 00:14 | [] "A very slow start for these two teams. The commentary is doing their best to give it some heat, and it's work a bit. Not enough though. It doesn't help that the crowd is also not interested at all. When you start off doing lockups with not much else that tends to happen. When they start speeding up it still feels slow and drawn out. Like they were given too much time or were told they went to commercial even though there were still live. There is some enjoyment to be found between the cheating and the show of strengths. The match works to both teams strengths. Sadly it's just not a great match up. The start of the match commentary foreshadows about the ending basically giving thay Barbarian turns on Meng via Jimmy Hart's orders. I personally feel like this was a pretty okay match. Not one to show anyone but not one to change the channel to. And a very baffling ending." |

The setups themselves in this match are really hit or miss, some are really cool like the pile driver into the ladder and the sharpshooter into the crossface by the bucks but some setups are kind of sluggish which really kills the pace of the match at times. I will say that I like the sudden unmasking at the end of the match, makes sense and less cliche than pushing down the later of your opponent. I also liked how Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix interacted with the audience and I came to enjoy their peformance in that aspect. I did not really feel the same towards the bucks depsite them having some really great spots." |
196 | 18.04.2024 23:52 | [6.0] "This was a fine match that got really good near the end and everything in that end portion flowed together pretty nicely despite being full of some crazy spots. A little bit too much of a slow burn for me, but still fine." |
197 | 18.04.2024 23:51 | [8.0] "This is a bit of a weird one to rate, neither team have that much chemistry as a pair, but you still have 4 incredible workers demonstrating what made NOAH such a thrilling company at the time. This is prime Suzuki era, agile and smooth in the ring while having maybe the best in-ring charisma of anyone going. Akiyama and Hashi are also expectedly excellent, and while Im not a huge Marufuji fan, he also puts in a shift here to complete a really high quality bout. The crowd seem a bit tired out from the previous matchup which is understandable but does take away a bit from a relatively solid first half, made to seem a bit slower and duller than it really is. My favourite exchanges are between Suzuki and the eternally underrated Hashi, but all 4 have good chemistry as opponents which makes it feel very special. There are some really cool spots in here including an awesome slap battle between Suzuki and Akiyama, and by the closing stretch the fans are finally invested in the bout which is excellent to see. There was what seemed to be a miscommunication close to the end with a missed tag which definitely dampened the spirits for a bit, and there were a couple of other moments when timings seemed off and it all became a bit sloppy. It truly felt like an epic so the slight mishaps didnt take away too much but maybe a couple of minutes being trimmed off the final product wouldnt have hurt. Ultimately this was still a very good watch and although there were a couple of slight blemishes its still 100% worth a watch." |

Danielson still manages to put on a decent performance in this match and bleeds like a river. He sells really well too. But I do have a problem with his peformance at the end as he just sort of powers up at the end and really doesn't back a comeback to earn his win. Neat!" |

The latter is presented as more stable and confident in the ring and as a character than her previous years, and I'm rooting for her to evolve as a major threat like she used to be in NXT. The flow was meant to be cut off by commercial breaks, but the telecasted action was standard and entertaining. 3.5 out of 5 stars!" |

Both men clearly want to prove something here, both men who wouldn't have made it far in Babas AJPW due to their size, and clearly want to demonstrate that Jr wrestling can be the most exciting, intense and fast paced brutal stretch of technical work, stiff strikes and power moves youll find. Both men sell like hell here, demonstrating really brilliantly how working body parts should be done; there are also some brilliant spots that play into KENTA struggling with his neck and Kanemarus arm failing him. While this is exactly what youd expect from KENTA, Kanemaru might actually be the better competitor here, with some incredibly unique offence. Its easy to forget just how incredible Kanemaru was considering the different style of competitor he is today. There isnt a dull moment in this bout and the closing stretch is truly nerve wrecking. On a card with 3 of the greatest matches of all time, this one can often be forgotten, but its incredible and truly worth going out of your way to watch." |

Ricochet and JD gave a blazing start thanks to their insane chemistry built for weeks, followed by a dominant showing from Reed. Zayn stepped in as the mega underdog and surprised Reed, gave a tainted mirror of the NXT classic against Nakamura, and delivered a beastly sprint against Gable. Even though the positions were interchanged between the winner and the runner, I felt this was a fabulous build to the 'Mania showdown pitting Zayn in his comfort space against the record-setting champion. 4 out of 5 stars!" |

Sabin is a TNA legend, and this loss doesn't give a fly on his record. I enjoyed his presence as the X-Division emperor and with Shelley in MCMG. Even though I get the reason for exercising all aspects of both men's arsenal, the slow burn didn't fit the mold.
