Even though they only had 10 minutes they were able to get some excitement into it with the advantage changing hands often until the last man. Bubba had a very good moment in the bout, plus Jeff worked out nicely as the sole survivor."

[7.0] "We get another loving homage of the classic World Of Sport style, Gallagher taking the unserious fight to a stern and overbearing Gibson before he continues his arm-based attacks, stifling Jack and properly maintaining his preferred pace. It does slow down in intrigue after it shifts away from the more comedic elements at the beginning, but pulls back leading into the ending. There's a tremendous nearfall right before the finish where Gibson slips on a run-up and Jack nails a Corner Dropkick. [3.5]"

[9.0] "This is unironically one of the best and most enjoyable matches in mania history. If you're gonna do a comedy match do it like this and just go so over the top and make it so ridiculous like this. I normally am not a fan of comedy matches but this was so stupendous, the mouse trap, the bowling ball being thrown into samis junk, the giant hand that smacks sami in the face. It's just so funny and exactly what you would want out of such ridiculous things as pro wrestling and jackass. Even on commentary Pat Mcafee usually annoys me but he had some great one liners in this match that made me laugh hysterically. Michael cole fighting through hysterical tears through the whole match is a nice touch as well. (****1/2)."

[6.0] "Another fun tag. Daichi messing up and counting Lady C when she wasn't legal was very funny. Mina was the highlight, but AZM, Saya + Maika were all great too. I love Lady, I hope she manages to win a title someday because she inspires me! Wish they would've given her a bit more shine at the end. But still, not bad!"

[] "Perfectly fine match, that does not succeed or fail at anything. It's clear from the start these two stars just don't shine with each other. Both boasted the slower side of their in-ring work, and it was a drab. It's a fairly short match that prevents both workers from really stepping into that final gear. Fundamentally they were doing the right things. Match starts with fine body slaps, and some nice corner work from Balor. However, this kind of start demands a better escalation of action. We never see that action pick up. Finish is nice but feels rushed compared to the rest of the match. Match flows into a very well-done transition into the next match. But that does not give excuses for the lackluster match. Overall, just meant to get a story forward. meh indeed."

[5.0] "I still hate the biker Taker gimmick and the blatant low blow right in front of the referee pissed me off, but it wasn't necessarily a bad match. Angle was great once again and he's really flourishing in the chicken shit heel gimmick, so it's really entertaining to watch him. Plus they got me with the screwy finish so kudos to them I guess."

[8.0] "This match is wonderful, the best way to rebuild the reputation of The New Day as Tag Team Champions. Expecially Xavier Woods made a extraordinary performance as One Man Army, such as Cesaro in the opener match of this Raw episode, but also the other five performers (in particular Reigns, Rollins and Jericho) were great. Owen's Pop Up Powerbomb converted in a Codebreaker by Jericho is splendid, but also the connection between Reigns and Rollins. I think that this match could be candidated as the best tag team match in WWE main roster in 2016. (8/10)"

[6.0] "Nice little throwaway tag. Poi is a treasure and must be treated as such. Stardom wasn't the same while she was out. The Poi / Syuri interactions mid and post-match were the best bits of this, though Saki Nakano was fun too! I thought Ranna had a nice showing as well, she's got a lot of potential that I hope Syuri will be able to tap into."

[3.0] "Initially an 8-man but Cruz and Ligero , who lost the tag team titles last night, include themselves in the match as well. A whole lot of stuff, stuff stuff stuff. A lot of it looked good (The Origin taking out Moser) and the rest was completely forgettable. [2.5]"

[5.0] "I was very disappointed with this match, I had hoped that both would do everything to end each other but I didn't get anything close to it, I think the feud doesn't need a third match"

[5.0] "An extremely average match that had a fun end with the Cena save that had the crowd really hot and it was cool seeing R-Truth & Miz, one of Cena's main storyline buddy's and one of his top storyline rivals standing side by side with him to do the Five Knuckle Shuffle. 2.5 stars at least."

[7.0] "Match is kinda slow but still enjoyable I still don't like Nemeth with the title but I mean he's still good an amazing seller I was expecting better but it's an ultimately good match just underwhelming"

[9.0] "Another great match! I loved how much fun they were having mocking and imitating each other near the start. I loved the animosity too: there were moments where they were seriously beating the shit out of each other! Some really great near falls and drama towards the end too. My only complaint is that I think Suzu could've sold the knee a bit more, but that's a nitpick. The finish was really sudden and effective, again another match with a great sense of urgency, probbaly because of the 10-minute time limit. I've really liked that about this incarnation of the Cinderella so far. I would love to see these two have an extended feud of some kind, because a rematch on a bigger stage would be amazing! Truly they need to strap up SLK soon (White or Red Belt), because she's been one of their best wrestlers for a long time now! Book it, Okada!"

[7.0] "Great chemistry between these two. You can see that they wanted to put on a show and they were working their asses off. They started out hot, but Rikishi got in control shortly after the beginning and because of that Rocky's eventual comeback got a huge pop. They were picking up the speed with every minute and the fans were getting even louder, plus I loved the story around Rock's arm. Underrated bout."

[7.0] "Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams build as the biggest nxt match and main event of all time the match was very good could have did without all the chair nonsense but still a very great match crowd was loud for this whole show, , , Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams was the perfect choice to end off this show and send them off to night 1 of WrestleMania 40........., ., ., ................................I gave this a 8 instead of a 9 because of the use of the ref bump and the chair spot ............"

[5.0] "These two going 20 minutes? These guys must have been fuelled by some heavy cocaine and steroids. Watching all the old manias in order you can slowly see Hogans ego grow, from helping Savage win the title at 4, to winning it back at 5 and then kicking out at 3.01 seconds to make himself look strong and making himself centre stage when it should be about warrior"

[10.0] "This match rocked! A really well executed underdog story here. The crowd was super hot by the end, and the drama was off the charts with the crazy close near falls! The sense of urgency also elevated the match, with both girls seemingly desperate for a win! Props to Mirai, who gave Hanan a real fight and played the "overdog" charcater with two previosu tournament wins to perfection. Hanan's selling of the submissions in particular was fantastic, and her repeated teasing of the back suplex paid off beautifully at the end. Awesome match!"

[8.0] "This match certainly felt a bit more action packed compared to their stand and deliver match, the steel cage allowed Melo to be more brutal while not preventing Trick from showing his crazy athleticism. Of course, Melos security guards decided to be assholes and try to climb into the cage, Trick fought them off, but one brought a chair that Melo tried to use, but instead had it trickshot right into his skull for the three, great match! 8/10."

[4.0] "Props to Rick Rude for carrying this match, with that being said, this match was awful, ik its the ultimate warrior were talking about, but god this wasnt good. it was long for what it was, but probs to Rude man, he tried to carry warrior who is very limited in the ring. *1/4"

[8.0] "TNA were extremely lucky at the time that Beer Money Inc. had such good chemistry against each other because it really was a goldmine for them, it was obvious that it could be a rivalry that would bring in a lot of money and bring in some amazing matches because the two were made as much to team up as to face each other. I loved their chemistry in this match, the crowd was hot and the action was great. The finish was shocking with Roode sacrificing his own friend to get the title under nuclear heat, this was an awesome TV moment."

[8.0] "This match at the time was one of the greatest of all time, i mean it was truly a classic, but now i watched it yesterday and yup, it still holds up. you knew this match had a big feeling, the the crowd out the end was super excited, honestly this can be the best match in wwe history. ****1/2"

[7.0] "I'm beginning to sense a theme with matches involving Jimmy Havoc from around this time, in that they have a lot of great moments but just as much missed opportunity. Here, the length gets in the way. The perfect time to end the match was after London Riot #2 missed his big twisty off the top rope, but they kept it going for another 5 or 6 minutes and the wind was let out of the sails before the actual finish. I did enjoy the first half of this match a whole lot, because everything actually went right with the rabid highspots. That powerbomb from Havoc to London Riot #1 right to the hardwood floor was ace. [3.25]"

[9.0] "After rewatching this match again this shows that HBK, and WWE Officials are super high on Jay Malachi. This match was a fun one with Je'Von Evans coming through the crowd and answering Ilja Dragunov Open Challenge and had some great moments. I love this, this kid is gonna be a superstar he's only nineteen and he's already doing amazing things and putting on great performances I really hope by this time next year he's the WWE NXT North American Champion."

[6.0] "It should be mentioned a match getting a 6 that involves someone who'd had 48 matches before said match is quite the achievement. Enjoyable stuff from both involved but Yuzuki is the lowkey star of this match. She shows great poise, passion and movement throughout and manages to get the crowd to bite on some near finishes. To be honest, this match might even have got a 7 if it went a bit longer and didn't have a godawful finish (I love Mei but a dropkick as a finisher is beyond naff)."

[7.0] "Super happy with the amount of ridiculousness in this match. The Riots and The Origin are teams that i feel are easy to box into certain types of match, slow and only capable of getting serious in sequences. Adding in an Attitude Era-level of outside interference and Dusty Finishes to their respective acts were not too fun in previous attempts but piling them atop each other like was done here , i feel , made it all work a lot more in the end. The finishing stretch , after Damon Moser comes out and to the bell , was fucking wild. [3.5]"

[8.0] "A great, hard-hitting match between two of Stardom's more powerful wrestlers. Ami was good here, but Yunamon was excellent! Her lariats were awesome, and she made Ami look great! I think she might be the most underrated / underappreciated wrestler in Stardom right now. Always makes her opponents look great!"

[6.0] "Not really a match, but it is a very enjoyable segment minus the bad Marlena storyline. It was hilarious when they was doing the fake wrestling stuff when Sgt. Slaughter forces them to wrestle when Pillman is rumbled with not really breaking his arm. This does actually turn into a fight when Marlena hits Owen with a loaded purse, but unfortunately it doesn't really go on long enough with Goldust causes Owen to win by DQ. Then the Owen hard fought match winning speech was really funny when Austin attacks him and breaks the restraining order which leads to one of the most iconic Raw moments ever."

[8.0] "This was a great technical match that I just loved tbh especially after that 8-man hardcore match ZSJ is obviously fantastic but Riddle despite how insufferable I think he is can still put on a quality match but he definitely should not have had that belt and I'm glad they took it off him relatively quickly"

[8.0] "I didn't think I'd enjoy a Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray in my life and even less that it would be my favorite match of a whole Bound For Glory PPV but here we are - this was a lot of fun. Totally the big brawl it was supposed to be for a rivalry as intense as theirs, and totally what I'd normally expect from a Falls Count Anywhere. Seeing them have this extreme brawl in front of a packed Philly crowd was the best possible tribute to ECW, the crowd was hot and the spots were excellent."

[8.0] "Absolutely one of the greatest match made by The New Day in 2016 and in general of the tag team division of WWE main roster. In particular, I love Cesaro's performance as one man army at one particular moment of the match, when he started to destroy every form of life in that ring. Splendid. (8/10)"

[9.0] "Fantastic work from all eight wrestlers. The AEW striking early and trying to turn the match into a brawl and the CMLL crews big comeback combined with a vocal crowd to make a MOTYC."

[7.0] "Good and fun match from LA and AJ that unfortunately ended too quickly. Happy that Knight won and looking forward for eventual rematch between these two."

[6.0] "Goldust shows enough aggression for me not to consider this as a squash, but this was a pretty one-sided match with a vintage Bret Hart doing what he does best where he picks Goldust apart weakening the knees, which does end up playing to the finish. Goldust sells it so well that when he gets a brief comeback spot, it doesn't last long because of the sustained damage he took, which I thought was really well done. The promo before the match was notable because Bret doesn't go with the typical anti-USA rant he was doing all year with him wanting payback on Shawn Michaels after what he did to the Bulldog. He was clearly the lesser of two evils in that feud. All hell broke loose after the match with DX and the Hart Foundation coming out brawling and then Undertaker winds up standing tall for a fire ending to the show!"

[7.0] "A nice match for Aya's return! She worked well with Mai, and its nice to see her use her karate skills on offence. Hanako was good here too, using her size to her advantage, which makes her quite unique in Stardom. Sayaka starred here, as she's quick, a great seller and has nice crisp offence. Her spear in particular pops me every time, and she delivered it pretty viciously in this one, just flinging herself at Aya. Those two will be intertwined for years to come with the post-match angle and little storyline they've had. A couple decent, convincing near falls added some nice drama. Good match!"

[5.0] "I hate the fact Nia Jax had so many title shots during his NXT career, she's a very terrible performer. Asuka was no more able to do miracles. (5/10)"

[4.0] "It was mid Eddie was the MVP he's just fantastic and it was cool to see Homicide again but honestly half way through I just wanted it to end already didn't really like the hardcore parts they kinda felt forced and didn't really have much impact"

[7.0] "I thought it was a decent match that set up the TripleMania match with the Piledriver controversy, good selling by Sagrada and Black Cat carry the workload."

[10.0] "perfectly violent junkyard, excellent place to beat the piss outta someone... these boys made a commitment to each other in this ring and we all ought to embrace it. edit: rewatched less (not) drunk. still rocked. stiff hits, there's that ugliness comes from what feels like a lack of cooperation but these guys still paced out and varied up the set pieces very well. Demus pops off the screen. Him and Wotan get the benefit of the smaller room crowd interaction, which also serves to further activate/highlight the entire venue and contributes to the memorability of the encounter."

[5.0] "Starts off hot, hot, but slows down in a way that seemed hard at first but they kept moving up and up back to that initial starting temperature and Tommy nailed his Black Mass for the finish. Lose 2 minutes and i am certain it would get up to a three and a half. [3]"

[8.0] "Johnny and Tommaso were simply the best tag team in WWE (NXT + main roster) and in this match demonstrated that again. (8/10)"

[8.0] "I really enjoyed this match, and the story telling of ZSJ trying to provoke Riddle into more of a striking style in order to grab limbs and lock in submissions (so many of which were brilliantly executed and impressive to watch) really worked well. This isn't quite a PPV main event classic but a very strong match indeed and it's safe to say ZSJ is becoming a favourite of mine"

[] "Until Roy Lucier find the whole match, I can't rate that match but I thought it was better than their match the week before."

[9.0] "This was a really good tv match. The WWF debut of the Cactus Jack character was a really special moment, particularly in an arena like MSG! Hunter's reaction to the reveal really put it over that he was fighting a very different version of Mick Foley having already beaten Mankind and Dude Love in this feud! The match was chaotic and went all over the arena and I believe this was also one of the first times Chyna actually got some kind of comeuppance for her interjecting herself in the match where she is taken out of the match when she was knocked out with an accidental collision with the ring steps. Cactus Jack takes some brutal bumps including a sunset flip move that had to have hurt him more than Hunter. There's a good spot where the entire railing on the front row collapses and the finish is also very good where Cactus wins with a piledriver on the stage and has a big smile on his face after he won."

[8.0] "so the plain fact of the matter here is this: There are at least five or six Cowpoke Paul matches and dozens of Ryse matches that are doomed to never be put on the matchguide as a result of the "the match time must be known" rule. That's okay, it's an understandable rule to have, but it puts a hamper on the ability to praise great wrestling when it's underground, only allowing for wrestling that is well known enough to have all these metrics listed out to be something that a person can review and, hopefully, bring another person on this site to see. Word of mouth is one thing, and rest assured I have sent my friends numerous links and we've watched them all together as friends, but when talking on a larger scale, a site such as this where I cannot just post "this rules check it out", I am constrained only to what I am allowed to comment upon. As it happens, this match was a time limit draw. The time is inarguably 30 minutes, and so, it is allowed on the matchguide. Finally, I can talk about a Ryse match for real. And I am conflicted. This is, without a doubt, a very good match. There are some bumps along the way, a few little slip-ups or misstimed instances. Some time could have been filled out better or perhaps used more. But the truth of it is, this is such an ambitious undertaking for wrestlers at this small a scale, that these minor gripes are so easily ignorable. We're talking about a wrestler here who is barely on three years of working, dojo trainees in certain locations have an equal amount of time. We're talking about another wrestler here who is far more experienced but has never been given a huge landscape to breakout. These are guys who are actively learning, who are actively working on the smallest, purest ground floor level of wrestling that the American independent wrestling scene could provide. Floor room only, no balconies, barely any roof, and it takes place in an errant building rather than a real proper venue. But despite all of this, the effort is there. There is a true, real attempt to make a proper 30-minute time limit draw here. The pacing, the timing, and most importantly the exhaustion, it's all here. Is it as well made as a higher scale thing? No, but that's what I'm getting at. They still genuinely went for it, regardless of their experience or platform. And it genuinely worked out great. I'm not kidding when I say there's a spot in this that might be one of my favorite small moments in wrestling history. It's during the back stretch when Cowpoke gets sent to the outside of the apron and Noir tags him with a blow, steps through the middle rope to meet him on the apron, and Cowpoke catches him as he's stepping outside with a DDT to the apron. It's such a small, tiny moment, lasting maybe 12 seconds out of the 30 minutes this thing takes up, but it matters so much. It's such a crafty, clever way to catch a breather. He's getting dogged on but has enough to know what Noir is vulnerable in this one moment it takes him to transition from inside the ring to outside of it, and gets him just like that. Some people will maybe say that the closing stretch isn't heated enough for a time limit draw, but I would argue that given that there is no public announcement of the time limit, the announcer not giving time based updates, that exhaustion is a much better alternative. They aren't aware of how long they've gone, they just want to end the match and win, but they're so tired that they have to keep struggling to find a solution. If the announcer was giving updates, that would maybe compel them to turn up the heat much like the closing seconds of a UFC round, but it's not there. All they have is their own body and their own desires, and they are tired, and they are desperate. I saw it live, and I don't know how I will feel about it fully until I watch the upload on YouTube (something that should happen in a few weeks time), but at the moment, I think it was an incredibly ambitious display for someone to perform. It kind of reminded me of those long Hero/Punk matches, honestly. It's nowhere near that level, mind you, but it had a similar feel. There are better matches in both guys' career than this one, for sure, but this is the only one that I can review given the time rule. And yeah, expect me to potentially come back some other time once this gets uploaded to add more to this, but for now I just want to say this: There is wrestling like this no matter where you live. Somewhere out there, probably very close to you, is a promotion with guys who are just as hungry to prove themselves like Christian Noir and The Poker where to prove themselves here. If you go to these shows, if you attend them, you could find something like this too. Something that isn't perfect, not by a long shot, but something that is honest. Something that feels like a declaration, something that feels true. One of the best matches ever? Certainly not, but something that you're happy you were there for? Without a doubt. Please, find your own place like Ryse is for me. Find something local, support someone local, and tell everyone that you can about it/them. And also, check this match out. It should be on Ryse's YouTube in a few weeks time. I'm not promising that you'll be blown away, since I'm still conflicted about it myself, but I just want more people to watch stuff like this, man. Support the indies, water the roots, check this out, then come back here and post about it."

[7.0] "What could be more poetic than Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn doing their thing together in front of a packed Philly crowd? TNA were really on their bag for booking this at the time and I thank them for it many years later. It was everything it was supposed to be - not too long, well-paced with spots that appealed to the fans who came to watch this match with great attention and, above all, very well executed moves. Not their best match together obviously, this was no longer the RVD & Lynn of 15 years earlier, but a damn fun one with a nice symbolism."

[5.0] "A mediocre match, without any relevant sports and with a terrible performer like Aliyah. The fact that Liv Morgan was not formed like nowadays didn't help. (5/10)"

[1.0] "Talk about sticking out like a sore thumb! Sami and M-Dogg just do a bunch of noise, fluorescent lights in the form of a match. Kicks and Topes and spit and absolutely no fun for me. Sami Callihan sucked. M-Dogg, much better wrestler than Sami but nonetheless, also sucked. Boo. [1.5]"

[9.0] "Didn't watch this match or at least the finish since it happened. Hated the result at the time and WWE didn't do a great job of making me think it was necessary afterwards.. After WM XL, watching it back, its still a hell a main event that set the stage perfectly for this year. Both men have excellent chemistry and this match had a big time atmosphere. Felt like it was all building up to a cathartic victory only to be snatched away last second. Ill give credit where its due to WWE for making this a great part 1 to Cody finishing his story. Hopefully this match continues to get its flowers as time goes on. (****1/2)"

[7.0] "Very fun X-Division showing to start the show as usual, obviously sending Aries and Kendrick to work together was going to get the crowd in the mood for the rest of the show and I found it truly better than their No Surrender match, more rhythmic and more energetic with a wey better crowd. That Philly crowd really loved this match and let it be known, the two connected superbly in the ring."

[6.0] "A honest opening match, with an acceptable entertainment and fighting. It works and that's more than fine. (6/10)"

[9.0] "Went back and forth on this and the BCC tag as my favorite AEW match of the week, ultimately I think this one wins out narrowly by being more interesting on paper and in execution, as well as better paced with a more palatable run time. I was definitely excited to see AZM in an AEW ring and she lived up to expectations, getting very over with the crowd and fighting Toni to her best match in months, probably one of Toni's best AEW matches to date. AZM is just really special I think, the way she moves really pops, she has some great offense and the charisma to get over fast even with a crowd that doesn't know her. Very fun TV match here."

[0.0] "Terrible. Jay's entire run with AEW has been bad. (The build to him vs MJF was fine) The guy has won all the titles in NJPW and he's getting squashed by 60 year old Billy Gunn, make it make sense."

[6.0] "About as good of a match as you can ask for in under seven minutes. Physical, bloody, and flush with physics-defying athleticism from two of the most impressive athletes in professional wrestling. Apollo Crews is on of the most versatile talents in the game and Giovanni Vinci is so damn good in his own right. This one had some genuinely insane sequences, including that nasty Lariat late in the game by Vinci. I am completely here for a big babyface push for Crews and am equally as prepared for Vinci to go on a run. 3.25 stars, 6.5 out of 10. This was well worth the watch."

[6.0] "I expected better but I liked the comedy bits I still think Takahashi is very funny and charismatic and I like Daryl but overall in-ring work was fine I guess but these two should have done much better"

[8.0] "Surprisingly, this match went unnoticed at the time, as it was Beer Money Inc.'s first ever singles meeting in the context of the Angle & Roode rivalry, and there's no doubt that the man who came out of it the strongest at the time wasn't even one of them, but James Storm. He continually had some singles showings and delivered with the crowd behind him. I really liked this match, they know each other by heart and the crowd was very hot, I liked that it was friendly competition since the match was requested by Roode in order to prepare himself as well as possible for Bound For Glory. Really cool stuff."

[5.0] "It was alright but I just didnt get into it much. Opening with 3 top stars is interesting. With Daiki Inaba in this match It was pretty clear what team was going to win before it even started."

[] "A classic indeed. The only gripe that can be made against this match is the fact it was on RAW. However, even the many commercial brakes do not kill the flow of this match. The chemistry between Gable and Sami is undeniable. Gables pure in ring talent plus Sami's amazing in ring story telling combine into what is a masterful experience. They are able to make the champ the underdog while still keeping his validity as the champion. Samis selling of the ankle injury is next level and gables many clever reversals into ankle locks really did make you believe there could be a new champ. Outside of the match itself the pre, and post-match are amazing. The one shot of Sami making his way through the crowd is an all timer. Hearing the place sing Sami's song is just amazing. Truley a champ's entrance. And the post-match heel turn of Gable is fantastic. We know why he did it. It makes sense. The best heel turns are the ones where the heel is not really a bad guy. Just someone pushed past their breaking point. Overall, very fun match that would be a MOTY contender if it was on a PLE. Excited, and praying they run it back."

[8.0] "What a blast of a match seriously, an awesome singles showing for James Storm who showed that he could be a big singles major player at the time even if nobody doubted it and I must say that TNA really made a star that night. He didn't lose to the world champion, but pushed him to the limit and even kicked out of his Angle Slam, the crowd was insanely hot for that and it was the best thing you could see on TV at the time. I loved it, I enjoyed it and I don't even mind the ending, it was so perfect."

[7.0] "A solid match, but they did a better work not only at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, but also at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. I don't appreciate so much the fact that they changed the title each other for three times (Brookylin, Toronto and Osaka). (7/10)"

[6.0] "Chris Hero saunters into PROGRESS in a jovial and self-assured state. He is fully prepared to destroy Mark Andrews and does so, but in underestimating him he falls privy to being surprised and nearly defeated by the most kicking-outest man in the company. As much as i enjoy Mandrews, i felt that they put a little too much emphasis on his resilience for the FIRST round match of the tournament. It helps him out in the long run, more on that during Night 2, but from a first-timing Hero's perspective it does kinda make Chris out to be someone who can't get the job done. The context of Mandrews' tenacity supersedes Hero's striking prowess and it all comes out the other side with Hero looking weak, sadly. That being said, i enjoyed most of the periods of Hero battering Mark like a fish. The finishing stretch is where it went down in quality a smudge for me. I would claim this is a case of 'One Goes Over, One Gets Over' but i reckon that Mandrews was already over with the crowd so it's a bit redundant. [3.25]"

There is a running myth that Hogan and Rock ingeniously switched heel and babyface roles on the fly in this bout, but that's clearly not quite what happened: despite everyone cheering heel Hogan no matter what he did, it took over 14 minutes for them to do one sequence where Hogan was a babyface and the Rock a heel. And the match was only 17 minutes long. They really should have taken the hint from the opening bell. What made this match great was not them, but the collective belief in them as megastars by an insane crowd. ****"

[7.0] "Hard-hitting match between Aries and Kendrick right here which was totally what I expected to see between the two, it never reached an exceptional level but the action was very solid from start to finish with some sick things from Aries, and Kendrick bumping for him like his life depended on it. Maybe a little too one-sided for Aries but fun nonetheless, pulling the trigger on him at the time was the best possible booking."

[6.0] "I was going to say that I didn't understand why the match was so poorly rated and found it a little underrated... but that was obviously before I saw its ending and quickly understood why. A really bad, overbooked finish with a heel turn that made no sense from Angle when he was the most babyface possible in this match by having his leg attacked, it really made no sense and was super badly booked. Too bad because before that, the wrestling was really good."

[7.0] "The Miz as Intercontinental Champion is absolutely great and during almost all 2016 he was able to prove that. This match with Dean Ambrose is very good, with an enjoyable development of the history between Dean and James Ellsworth. (7/10)"

[7.0] "A cool match to have done before Ilja presumably goes to the main roster. Evans has a very high ceiling and this was a good showing for him in his best performance under WWE yet. The ceiling with Evans is high at an already young age and he looked quite competitive here with Ilja. A nice way to bring back the open challenge aspects that Wes Lee introduced during his NA title reign."

[8.0] "This was a great six mixed person tag , Maxxine looked better than usual , and Gable was amazing too he showcased why he is one of the best technical wrestlers in the business today. Lash slamming Otis was a great moment , and Noam was good too he was solid as a heel. Good match , great spots nothing much to complain about."

[8.0] "No fireworks, no overbooking, no title, no stipulation - just AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels main eventing a PPV in the cleanest pro wrestling match possible as they should. Some might say the match was boring because there weren't forty nearfalls and a cheering crowd for every move, but I absolutely loved it, I didn't see the time go by and I didn't find it too long at all. Their chemistry was absolutely exceptional, everyone had come prepared so the first ten minutes were full of incredible counters and that was my favorite thing about the match. The second half was very good too, with the wrestling as fantastic as ever and a satisfying ending, excellent main event."

[8.0] "This was a great opener for nxt with these women putting on a really good match , Roxanne and Kiana were good in showcasing their hatred to one another , the table spot was cool , and Thea looked improved in this too. I feel like Fallon was the right choice , Roxanne and Kiana had their own feud going on , and Thea is still very young the future is bright for her. Fallon needed this , as she has been putting in the work , and the shining wizard at the end was good. Good match , not much complaints about this one."

[4.0] "4/10 , 4 at school as any typical evaluation from 1 to 10 , it means bad not average since the meaning of the word adequate in comparison to this, talking about sports movies evaluations, as this site said.I'm not criticizing this website but I have no idea how 4 can be described as average, average it's the 6 from 1 to 10.But it 's still a great website. Talking about the match , Naito slows way too much down the action with this persona. Almost zero high flying no particular technical stuff or kicks or palm strikes , in the past he used to be very fast with a lot of high flying manouvers. Kota Ibushi didnt utilize shoot boxing manouvers, not so many kicks no palm strikes , and not so much high flying. What else i should add? I've described the match for what it has been. I haven't watched all their matches but I like many Naito old matches and some Ibushi matches in NJPW. Talking again about the evaluations, 10 is perfect, 8 is great, 7 is good, 6 average, 5 not average, 4 bad , the others very bad."

[8.0] "What an awesome spotfest right here, this kind of match represents for me the very essence of TNA and I think at the time it must have been incredible to see this match and see them fight for a contract. The proof being that the crowd being so pleased with the match changed "Sign them all" because they all deserved it, that damn contract. I loved the explosiveness, physicality and creativity of this match, they were all incredible and it was just sick move after sick move each as impressive as the next. The right winner was chosen at the time."

[1.0] "Bit of a waste of Randy Savage and Dusty Rhodes, especially Savage after main eventing the previous 2 manias, would have been much better if it was just a straight one on one between Rhodes and Savage. Ventura spent most of the match just calling Sapphire fat and ugly so that also wasnt great."

[7.0] "Hot action, hot crowd, hot opener - it was all it was supposed to be between two excellent wrestlers who were great in TNA at the time and whom the company could trust to get their PPV off to a good start. The action was really interesting to follow, the two worked super well together and I found it well-paced with a perfect duration, perfectly adequate and at his place on the card. I'd just hoped for a better ending."

[6.0] "Nice 4 way match. Momo was the right person for the win. Xena seems to have one of the best chops of the Stardom mid card."

[7.0] "This version of Wyatt Family is very good, and I really appreciate the alchemy between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. This match is even better than the one at TLC, with a great Sister Abigail converted in a RKO at the end. (7/10)"

[8.0] "A good main event. The Stand and Deliver had the better venue and build-up during the match, but I preferred the final act of this match compared to the abrupt and overbooked Stand and Deliver double ref bump finish. Yes, there was random goons, but it played into the story of the hardcore match. The chair adding to the knockout blow also gives Trick a strong close to the match. I like his usage of a tiger knee as a finisher as its easy enough to perform and can come outta nowhere. With Melo losing two matches in a row, I dont see the need to have a third match. In fact, hes right about ready for the callup. Good timing too because the WWE Draft is just around the corner."

[8.0] "Unexpected treat of an unadvertised match between the champ and young upstart. NXT has repaired the horrible TNA reverse battle royal gimmick by having it be a way to start open challenges (they started this with Wes Lee). Jevon Evans getting the spot this early in his NXT run tells you that HBK and crew are really high on him, and you can see why. This was kinda of a ruthless aggression moment which they used for John Cena back in the day, and recently in NXT when they had Carmelo Hayes have one of his first matches against Champion Adam Cole."

[3.0] "I found myself very unamused with Mastiff here, for whatever reason, and WALTER's back and forth with him left me wanting a more ruthless performance from him. [2.5]"

[6.0] "Mash-up of Sheamus best moves to welcome him back in WWE after 8 months. Sorry that Ivar was the one that had to lose, I apprecite him a lot and I guess he's on a losing streak in main roster."

[6.0] "I thought the match did a good job building on the excellent Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker feud. Both of these teams was teaming for the first time and was both built up throughout the show as reluctant partners. Undertaker and Mankind don't come to blows and their long standing rivalry doesn't really come into play. Future DX show some good chemistry together and get some good double team moves on Mankind and Shawn is a great heel in this match as well where he shows his fear and constantly avoids going toe to toe with The Undertaker and bringing out Rick Rude. The ending was pretty brutal with Takers gruesome blade job and Shawn hitting Taker twice with the chair and denting it."

[9.0] "This match started off a touch rocky then absolutely got there through the fire and energy of Takumi Iroha, who fired up everyone, and seeming the other wrestlers in the ring with her, to put on the best and most hard hitting performance that they could. There's an argument that between this--and the post match segment that saw the girls united against the invading MARIGOLD promotion--that this was the match and segment of the night, even with the time out draw (which, given what this was a setup for, honestly made sense.) A valid critique of NOAH wrestling since I have been watching, and seemingly since before then, too, is the lack of a women's division or really any stable plan, despite having access to the talent to do so. Well, this is it. Invading promotion, big story, 8-man tag setup, and wild implications throughout the industry are now all set off this one block of programming. It's great. 8/8.5 for the match, but the invasion angle afterwards bumps this up."

[8.0] "Maybe the hugest surprise of the year. The rivalry has been horrific, but they made an excellent work in this steel cage, the final chapter of their story. Trish still has fuel for other matches, she was on fire. I'm sure Becky and Trish can be very stasified with this work, match of the night."

[4.0] "Perfectly adequate matchup, Jack looked flashy and charming, TK and Dahlia Black kissed a few times etc etc... TK's heat segment dragged on a bit. The finish came out of nowhere too, Jack's win didn't feel very decisive. [2.75]"

[7.0] "Very fun, fast paced match. There were a few cool spots and it didn't overstay its welcome. There wasn't really a lot of heat to, so ir didn't come across as "hardcore" but more of a lighthearted weapons plunder. Overall, an enjoyable match though. Prominence works really well as a stable"

[5.0] "Good match, ridiculous finish. Holly decides to disqualify himself even though there was no build to it and Bob just chose to get the belt randomly. Their work was alright, Regal was a fantastic heel working on the opponent's arm, but at the same time the crowd was dead silent unfortunately, because the babyface wasn't over at all."

[6.0] "Unlike the previous matches between Rollins and Big Show and between Owens and Zayn at this Monday Night Raw episode, this match is an acceptable one. (6/10)"

[5.0] "Zack Gibson is an absolute treat. i feel that he has a case for the title Most Easily-Digestible Wrestler in PROGRESS. Despite being saddled with The Origin for most of the year, i think that his singles work has always been consistently great, such is the case with The Bollocks here. He wears down his arm, make his plucky underdog fire look bold and inspiring then scornfully taps him out. I enjoyed it. [3]"

[7.0] "I think this match should be watched on rated with the previous one as it's an extension of Utami's last show in STARDOM. Not a lot more to say than my previous comments, it felt good to see them go at it after all the things they did together. Good match."

[10.0] "This was a really strong Summerslam main event that set the main event picture in motion for the next few months because of the controversy with the ending. In ring, it was an old school technical wrestling match with Bret Hart relentlessly targeting Undertaker's legs with some great selling from the Undertaker really putting it over. Hart of course goes to his trademark heel move where he locks the figure four around the ring post and theres a tremendous moment that puts over the strength of the Undertaker where he breaks out of the Sharpshooter which was rarely ever done! While I have to say Bret's offense looked the more effective throughout the match, this is a really good back and forth match where it never feels predictable where the match will go because of the involvement with Shawn Michaels. The storytelling with Shawn as the referee was really good where he was enemies with Bret, but was forced to be fair and impartial as favouring Undertaker would have had him sharing the same consequences as Bret if he loses. He does a great job in the match because while he plays a big role in the story and the controversial ending, he doesn't break the flow of the match and doesn't insert himself in everything and he is lenient all match to both of their underhanded tactics. The ending was truly shocking where Bret spits at him and Shawn accidentally clobbers Undertaker with the chair before being forced to count. Brilliant way to keep the strong tension between all three."

[7.0] "A textbook big man vs smaller guy match. Kane doesn't have the mistique that he used to, but he's still a huge jacked up dude who can work the monster role and Jericho's gimmick is perfect for this type of contest. He fights from underneath, his selling is fantastic, especially when he's getting up after being put down time and time again and he's still over with the crowd, so you get decent reactions from them."

[9.0] "This might be the best GHC Hardcore Championship match ever and it was actually excellent. A feud with it on the line was a great way to inject some life into this championship. Both Ninja Mack and Alpha Wolf pulled off risky moves inside Shinjuku."

[6.0] "I like Dijak a lot but I wasn't impressed by Noam. Overall it was a fine match that was getting good towards the end and for whatever reason Dijak got pinned."

[8.0] "This match is overbooked, but in a way that works really well with the storytelling mostly being around Shawn Michaels being afraid of the Undertaker and calling on his buddies Rick Rude, HHH and Chyna to weigh in marking the beginning of the DX stable and while the finish might have been disappointing at the time, the chaos with so many people getting involved lead to the rematch being the first ever Hell in a Cell match. While this is not going to be the first Undertaker and Shawn Michaels match that would enter people's minds when it comes to some of the classic matches they had over the years, this was a very different kind of match to anything they would do since as the match is just a straight up fight where they show very no regard whatsoever to the rules or the referees and the control spots early on with The Undertaker are great because of how Shawn Michaels sells it. Despite the non-finish this was pretty damn good when it comes to the storytelling and Shawn was a GOAT tier heel in this feud!"

[5.0] "As Rollins vs Big Show, this match is mediocre and without a real goal. It has nothing to do with the feud between WrestleMania 32 and Battleground. (5/10)"

[7.0] "A lot of feelings in this one as those four did a lot together in Stardom. They did a great job overall to make the match entertaining from start to finish. Love that Utami lost to Saya to give her a big boost of momentum on her way out."

[9.0] "Well in case you werent aware of the fact NXT has big plans for Jevon Evans, in his second match in NXT TV, he got a match against the champion Ilja Dragonov, and holy moly did Evans deliver, obviously anyone getting a match with Ilja will look good because Ilja will sell like HBK to get someone over, good job NXT! Mission accomplished! JeVon Evans looks like a million bucks, Ilja still gets the win. Great job, this was also so entertaining, only enhanced by the NXT crowd, heres a 9/10."

[8.0] "Noam Dar had one of the better matches I have seen him have in my opinion. Its easily one of the better matches on tv as of late, but thats probably helped by the fact Dijak in this match. Dijak took a pin here which I wasnt the biggest fan of but oh well, at least it wasnt a clean win because Oro Mensah distracted Dijak. I hate metafour interference, but this match was good, heres an 8/10."

[5.0] "The Radicalz are fantastic, but they didn't have worthy opponents who were over to make more of it. K-Kwik gets in the ring at one point and really impresses, but a few seconds later he's beaten flat in the middle of the ring. Road Dogg looked uncomfortable in his attire and I don't know what they're doing with Billy. It was okay, but mainly due to The Radicalz and them leading the match like pros."

[8.0] "[3.75/5.00]: The main event was solid. While Stand and Deliver had a grander setting and buildup, I found the final stretch of this match more satisfying compared to the abrupt and crowded finish at Stand and Deliver with the double ref bump. Sure, there were some random goons, but it added to the hardcore match narrative. I slightly preferred this over the Stand and Deliver bout, but it still fell short of being exceptional. Perhaps there's too much pressure on them, but they haven't quite hit that peak level yet, both in their first match and here."
