There was also that wild incident with Rey Fenix and Jon Moxley. I'm not against comedy in wrestling, but Orange Cassidy is really lame. I don't even get the point of this title, as the name suggests that it should be AEW's secondary or midcard title, but its standing is below the TNT Championship, or at least I think it's supposed to be that way."

The majority of matches fought over this belt were either, short or sexist affairs, lets just all forget about this belt."

[0.0] "Whiled the existence of this title is justified as Roman Reigns had effectively become a part-timer, along with leaving RAW with no World Championship, this title has failed on every level. Seth Rollins is no doubt a good wrestler, but he, the only champion, has been the victim of the fact that RAW has a terrible men's division with few credible competitors, with Gunther still being the Intercontinental Champion. Despite the lack of competition, it could still be an okay title; Rollins vs. AJ Styles for the first title holder was a solid match and Rollins is a good champion, but the reason why I give it 0/10 is because it is constantly undermined. It is reminded that the title only exists because nobody can beat Roman Reigns, and the Wrestlemania press conference made the title, and Seth Rollins, look idiotic. Because of this jarring saga surrounding the WWE title leading up to Wrestlemania 40, as of 10/02/2024 (DD/MM/YYYY), there is no clear title match going into its first Wrestlemania, although this is understandable as Punk was injured. Overall, this title has, thus far, failed at any attempt of gaining credibility."

You don't need to be smart to realize that."

Why, introduce a women's title belt, give it to workers from GAEA, have Madusa, your top woman in WCW, LOSE every match for the belt, and have it be gone from WCW in just six months. At least the two title holders are Joshi legends? But I digress. Way to fuck up both a women's title and Madusa. Idiotic."

[0.0] "I swear, WWE is the reason why women's wrestling in America was so devolved and hampered for the longest, asides from the attempts of TNA and other smaller companies. The Divas title, while not the most insulting example, is certainly the most prime example, and it's one the worst of all other women's titles in WWE. At least Moolah wasn't ruling over it, but it certainly felt like she was the one booking it, and making sure any women in WWE is only seen for their body and for ridicule. Of course, not gonna deny that there were some good holders of the belt that made it mean something that ultimately led to a change in women's wrestling in WWE, but that doesn't give this belt any higher of a rating in particular."

[1.0] "I don't mind the title design, my issue lies with how it's been booked. First off giving Finn the belt was an amazing idea, sadly he was immediately injured, which led to Kevin Owens, another good pick. After two amazing wrestlers at their peak got their hands on the belt, WWE decided to then give it to Goldberg. What? Then Brock Lesnar, which credit where credit is due, Brock isn't a bad wrestler, just a lazy one, he barely showed up for his incredibly long reign. I guess WWE didn't learn their lesson because now they have Roman doing the same thing but the reign is 2x LONGER. Now the Universal Championship doesn't really exist because Roman just carries around one "Undisputed" Championship, and WWE introduced another world title since Roman barely wrestles anyway. This is genuinely really embarrassing."

[1.0] "A completely unnecessary title that only exists because Cody Rhodes didn't go over at WrestleMania 39 and WWE had to scramble to make NBC Universal happy. And I wanted to give Seth Rollins a chance, I really did. The man goes above and beyond for the company and it's nice to see him rewarded. But then the problems started to seep in. Seth's nagging injuries were becoming too big to ignore. They had a chance to put the strap on Nakamura, but Triple H's aversion to title changes meant that went nowhere. And then there was the Jinder Mahal match, where Triple H gave into the meme and all he got out of it was Seth blowing his knee out and giving Elimination Chamber no male singles title match to work with. And then then there was THAT promo. Before Rocky came out with his shovel, Roman told the world that this belt was "the loser bracket title" for "the number twos" in the company. And the worst part about that? He wasn't exactly wrong. WWE have shown time and time again that they're unable to properly spin two world championship plates, with the original WHC eventually becoming an upper mid-card title, the Universal being utterly cursed in every way until Brock took it to FOX, and the World Championship on USA ending up a trinket to hot potato because Brock (and now Roman) don't like to show up for work. Do us all a favour and unify the title again, and write this off as just an aberration."

[1.0] "1 point for R-Truth solely. This title is what happens when you take the old Hardcore Title, as well as the 24/7 rule that was imposed on it by Crash Holly, and then try to commercialize and mainstream it to the nth degree. It was a joke title that could be used for promotion of the WWE. Give it to Marshmello, or some sports commentator at Fox, or some other celebrity to get some more names on the promotion, and then easily change it to whoever is the main holder of the 24/7 title. That, and just how genuinely unfunny everything around the belt was, again asides from Truth trying his best. It's a total fucking bastardization of what made the Hardcore Title in the WWE good for a time, and a total disgrace to any other title that it is similar to. You can make a joke title like this work, see DDT, but if you don't have good booking behind it, a hint of good writing at all, or hell, just go fucking crazy with it. Instead, as mentioned, you made it into a promotional stunt with no comedic value. Oh, and the belt look fucking awful."

[1.0] "For most of this title's history, The Divas title has been dogpiled with lots of controversy and unfortunate booking problems, "champions" who weren't necessarily "great" in the ring, as well as some awful storylines which I'm not going to get into (case in point the Mickie James/Michelle McCool storyline, IYKYK). Almost every feud this belt had, including the most overrated women's wrestling feud ever between Paige and AJ Lee, was just not good whatsoever. Although this title DID get somewhat better in the later years following a phase into some good women's wrestling, the best thing to happen to this belt was it getting replaced with the then-and-now named WWE Women's Championship. In all honesty, this belt should have NEVER replaced the original Women's championship, as even though that belt wasn't good either, it was still miles ahead of this Divas title."

[1.0] "I absolutely hate this championship. Just take a look at the lineup of wrestlers to hold this title. It's pure mediocrity and crap except for, like, 3 people. Goldberg, Braun, Lesnar, The Fiend and even a couple more held this title in such mediocre and awful reigns. It started out incredibly promising with Balor winning, then he got injured. Kevin Owens then wins it, which is also promising, but ends up being underwhelming. Also, the designs of this title throughout its history have been very ugly. I hate this title."

[2.0] "Worst title in AEW rn, seriously what is the point rn ? The point at first was to have some trios out of the tag team division but now every team is interchangeable, I don't get how this is different to the tag division. It's poorly booked and sadly it's since the House of Black reign. Sad to see all those talents stuck in this senseless division."

[2.0] "A great example of the awful booking of 2010's WWE. Just a pointless title from the beginning. While it had some good ideas like Finn Balor winning the title (and unfortunately having to vacate it immediately), and people like Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins holding the title, it's mostly been awful. It has had the nasty habit of people holding the belt and almost never defending it for eons (see Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, though at least Roman's Reign has had a good storyline underneath it.), people who shouldn't be holding a "world" title at this point of their career (see Goldberg, and only Goldberg), and WWE digging themselves their own massive hole without any good way of climbing themselves out of it (see Bray Wyatt's title reign). At least now it has better booking behind it? But I feel like not even the current WWE likes this belt and are just finding some way to effectively retire it in the best way possible, as it has become absolutely forgotten about in it's combination with the WWE title and the introduction to the new Heavyweight title that is already miles better by design and booking alone with just it's first champion. Shameful red hot garbage."

[2.0] "The idea of this belt is awesome as a prop for veterans, it looks great, and... Gorgeous Matsuno held this belt for 406 days. It needs to be regularly defended, or at least more often than once every two years. It is infuriating that Toru Owashi, who is great, basically did nothing with it for over 600 days. It just recently changed hands and is now held by Azul Dragon, who, while not a person that instills a -ton- of confidence in me, is a step up at least from Makoto Oishi."

[3.0] "For most of this title's life I didn't understand the need for it, other than when it was created TNA was signing a bunch of old wrestlers that were Hulk Hogan's friends or were stars back in the Attitude Era. It also understood when it was The Television Title, giving bigger guys like Devon who didn't belong in the X-Division a championship opportunity. Even then it wasn't booked well, with the title supposably to be defended every week, to disappearing all together before being dropped. I didn't like The King of The Mountain concept either."

[3.0] "This title made sense when Taz introduced in ECW, because Shane Douglas was dogging him so Taz had his own fake world title. I never got the point of AEW's version of it, other than Tony Khan loves titles and belts. It's hardly defended as is, by people who are active on the roster."

[3.0] "Despite R-Truths best efforts, this is a completely pointless boring title with zero prestige, it was effectively a toy for the lower card to play with. For me this belt is a great symbol of WWEs insufferable era of focusing on PG style horror and comedy instead of booking actual wrestling shows."

[3.0] "I think there was a time and place for these belts, but now what trios does AEW even have? The only interesting champions I can imagine atm are BCC and even then theres not exactly a wide selection of trios to face. This championship could disappear and I wouldn't notice or care. The match quality here fell off the second the elite/death triangle feud ended. The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn have unfortunately not improved these belts standing. AEW has a weak trios division and most of the title defences are against jobbers or trios that are thrown together."

[3.0] "Well this is a title that I didn't even know EPW even had, as I've never actually seen it at shows I've attended, but having watched back some events featuring this title, it definitely does exist and looks pretty nice from what I could just about see of it. Guess in some ways it does make sense in creating this championship, as EPW often do feature hardcore matches, although they don't have all that many hardcore wrestlers. This title definitely feels like Davey Blaine's title, as he's been busting his ass in hardcore matches for years. Tokyo Joe also is good in these matches and more often than not is the one taking thumbtack bumps. Don't know who else could be future holders, or even if the title is still being defended, as it's been awhile since the last defence (definitely isn't 24/7 despite what the name says! ). From the matches I have seen, they are pretty fun but amazingly repetitive, using featuring a corner ladder spot and almost always ending in a thumbtack bump. There's definitely some value for enjoyment of the matches and actual champion continuity - something which EPW sorely lacks."

[3.0] "Is this a cursed title? Or was it doomed from the start? Any explanation for why this title is utter dogcrap isn't exactly conspicuous, but is understating how really bad this title truly is. The history of this title is cursed to say the least. Finn Balor got injured in the match he won the title in, Kevin Owens was treated like an absolute joke of a heel champion, Goldberg decided to politic his way to holding the title for a few days (HE DID IT TWICE by the way) just to drop it to Brock Lesnar who had a lackluster part-time reign as champion. I could go on and on about how this title is one of the worst in WWE history, but it wouldn't be worth my time. It's hard to say, but Roman's current title reign, which has gone on for a very long time, might be the best reign of this title. Soon, this title won't active anymore because it is merged with the WWE Championship, thankfully we won't have to hear about this title in a few years or *hopefully* months, but it will remain with a stained legacy due to horrible booking and worthless reigns."

[3.0] "The worst World women's title of any major promotion in the world. Bad booking, poor matches and seriously Stop, Shida, Hayter and Rosa are AWESOME wrestlers but they couldn't elevate this title, this is a prop and only a reason to force TK to give women a PPV match otherwise we know he wouldn't even try. With the direction it seems to go, I guess they could have a brillant division in a few years, but rn it's sad and tbh VERY deceptive to see women treated this way"

[3.0] "Love the belt design and big fan of MLW but typical of an owner who isn't a fan of women's wrestling! Every match for the title has been under 10 times. The match just gets going and bam 123!"

[3.0] "Unfortunately there has never been a good 6-Man title in wrestling history. Never ever. Not even in Texas (the Von Erich vs. Freebirds feud would be good with or with out it, and besides that feud the title didn't offer anything more). This title is not the exception to the rule. It's a title with no prestige, going around for two years and there have not been any memorable feuds for it. Even the matches are mostly interchangable spotfests. I hope they at least unify this with the ROH title because having both around further devalues this."

[3.0] "Bad title, at first (from the Pac reign to the 3/4rs of the first OC reign) it was really good, like the match were perfect, then, it got sooo laaaaaame. OC looked visibly injured and tired and as he said in interview, he wanted vacations. The whole Mox/Rey thing ruined ENTIRELY the momentum of the belt and after that everything got so bad it's almost as bad as the Women's division, tv time for bad matches, no storyline and all, TK abandonned the belt. And if at first I was so so happy for Strong to take the title (cause he's one of my all time fav), now it's been weeks and he didn't defend it on TV, what was the point then ? A complete mess, so many talents here could benefit having one or two tv matches for that title in a losing effort but no... Sad"

[4.0] "I understand why this title was created, with a lot of exciting six-man tag matches happening at that period of Ring of Honor. I just don't think the promotion needed another title, especially considering the limited amount of television exposure it had. It doesn't help now that its treated like a secondary title to AEW's Trios Championship."

[4.0] "It's unfortunate that the current title has a linage that is so messy. Hamada was great but there were plenty of weak champions and reigns, especially when Eric Young held it, degrading it to a joke."

[4.0] "This title has been disappointing in its short lifespan so far, with strange teams holding it like Swerve In Our Glory or Big Bill & Ricky Starks. As much as people loved them The Acclaimed and The Gunns were not ready to lead a division in a national promotion. What The Young Bucks did on the indies failed to translate on a large stage as well. Plus FTR's reigns were also very disappointing. I don't think anyone had a really good reign with the title, and all we got were some great matches here and there."

[4.0] "This title has been a mixed bag for me, as there are wrestlers that I'm a fan of that held this title, and there's been some really weak champions. Hikaru Shida was never the best wrestler in AEW's Women's Division, and Saraya should have never won the title. Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter have been great champions."
3303.03.2024
04:51
[4.0] "The main problem with this belt was that the women roster on FULL was usually only one champion and nothing more, needing female wrestler from outside on important shows, but most of the reigns the belt went undefended for several months, eventually the belt was retired and changed into a hardcore belt, since then the title has been barely defended and is mostly forgotten from the usual shows."

[4.0] "When these titles were announced, I was honestly delighted. When Sasha and Bayley won them, I was even more excited. Unfortunately, these titles have very rarely been respected. Good teams have been disbanded, too often they've been given to two random superstars with no connection or history. Too many teams have never or almost never defended them. Aside from Asuka/Kairi, Sasha/Bayley, or more recently Damage Control, these titles were never glorious, and the teams that owned them were never able to really shine."

[4.0] "This title was doomed from the very second they said go. The name of the title is stupid never really had good reigns always was dragging whoever had the title down no matter who it was. That was until roman got the title in his most recent run with it i dont think itll save the title tho i still think itll always be remember for everything it was before the tribal chief."

[4.0] "When it comes to "prestige" (notice how I used the word lightly), this title has none of that. But when it comes to entertainment and story segments, this title wasn't really all that bad. Of course the 24/7 title was always meant to be a toy for the lower mid-card to low card, but it delivered when it came to comedy as I was genuinely always intrigued to see what WWE would do with the title every week. Hell, I'd even say that this title (mainly R-Truth) carried Monday Night RAW along with Bray's Fiend character in 2019 (RAW was insanely bad during the late 2010s). R-Truth, as I said previously, was the best 24/7 champion and it's not even close, his comedy character meshed well with this title. Now that the title is inactive, I don't think I'd be much interested in seeing it again. Great entertainment but no value, brings it to a 4 in my opinion."

[4.0] "This title has a hundred horrible points in its history and literally ONE super memorable reign. The title starts in the worst possible way with a lazy design and the champion getting injured right after winning the belt, the title goes right after KO (which makes for a decent reign), which was a good choice for champion, but then the title happens first big booking mess (of many) that this title would suffer, an elderly Goldberg winning the title to serve as a transition to a horrible 500-day reign of Brock Lesnar, where the champion barely defended and had very lazy matches (in addition to burying Strowman), soon after Roman becomes champion and shortly after he is diagnosed with leukemia, the title becomes vacant and Brock wins for another terrible reign (Strowman buried again), Seth wins the title and has a horrible feud against Corbin, Lesnar destroys MITB match and Seth vs. Fiend/Wyatt destroy the mystique of HIAC, and to make matters worse The fiend loses the title to the older Goldberg who drops it to Strowman as consolation for him having a horrible reign, the only good thing is Roman Tribal Chief's run in 2020/21, otherwise this title is a complete disaster. Recommended matches: KO vs. Roman (2017 and 2020), Fatal 4-Way (SummerSlam 2017), Seth vs. AJ (MITB 2019), and all of Roman's matches until WM 38 (especially vs. Bryan and Edge)"

[4.0] "Edited my original review from 2/24/2024; UPDATE: Almost near half a decade into this title's existence and it just doesn't have much prestige whatsoever. I understand that there are "great" (great in the sense of in-ring work and perhaps even popularity with certain fans) champions like Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida, but it doesn't mean this title has been amazing, in fact, I believe it's the worst world title in AEW currently. Obviously booking and storylines have never been this title's strong-suit which hurts it. Someone here said it best, this title fell to an all-time low in 2023 due to some very questionable decisions, I mean talk about wasting Jamie Hayter's reign with the godawful Outcasts storyline, changing the title too much in a short time span, making Saraya champion, I could go on and on with how this championship became a joke in 2023. Thankfully, 2023 is out the window and this championship has recovered somewhat from all the booking bullshit, although the debatable in-ring decline of Toni Storm has hurt her reign, what makes up for it is the entertainment she brings with her 1950s Hollywood star character. It's going to be interesting to see how this championship goes from here, perhaps Mercedes Mone could win it sometime down the road (not that I'm asking for that, I know some would love to see that, I could care less however), or maybe even Jamie Hayter gets a REAL feel-good moment in London this year? Chances are this title should be getting better and recover from the disaster that was 2023."

It feels like there are no good moments that I can remember with this title. Except for Seth's victory at Mania and the inaugural win at Summerslam, there's nothing to save the memory of the championship before Roman's giant reign, which wasn't exactly perfect neither."

[5.0] "I don't think in the few years this title has existed that the linage is that strong, with Page being the worst world champions since Jinder Mahal. There was also the strange situation with Punk, which put a damper on a whole lot of things happening with AEW. MJF is a great wrestler, but I felt like his reign was really brought down by him having to defend The ROH Tag Team Championship on the same nights he was defending The World Title. I don't think Moxley or Omega were great champions either. We'll see about Joe, but honestly Chris Jericho is the only wrestler who had a great title reign, and it brought a lot of promise to the title in its inception."

[5.0] "While Seth did a solid job trying to make this title entertaining in the ring, frequent defenses stopped helping it acquire prestige once it became apparent about halfway through his reign that's he's just not losing it anytime soon. I'd argue it made it worse, and have some anecdotal evidence for that - my wife, whose casually tuning in to what I'm watching or talking about, when informed of Cody giving up Roman to make way for the Rock at Wrestlemania, asked me "So what's Cody going to do at WM? Fight Seth for the TV title? " and that felt very accurate to me. Giving it 5/10 for now since the matches are pretty good. I'll revise it up if WWE manages to make it feel prestigious."

[5.0] "These titles used to mean something, but since Jurassic Express won these belts last year they've truly been on the decline. They picked up again with popular champions The Acclaimed, but once again they have fallen off and been awarded to undeserving champions in the Gunn Club. The fatal 4 way at Revolution shows how much they have fallen off with challengers like Danhausen and Orange Cassidy. - this belt has only got less important, FTR have cooled off a lot since last summer when they over and they had a poor choice of opponents for their first PPV defence Update FTR have somewhat redeemed these belts again, but they have their limits. I have enjoyed most of what they've done so far, but they've lacked good storylines."

This title willnbe just as desirable! they said. It's not a second place trophy, honest! And then despite Seth's best effort, Roman and company and this absurd clusterfuck surrounding 2024 Wrestlemania has well and truly buried this loser bracket title. What a waste of time."

[5.0] "Oh look, it's another episode of "New Japan creates a belt with a clear purpose and then instantly forgets about it" ! This one was supposed to be defended in smaller town during the tours, was also supposed to be centered around the younger generation of wrestlers. The age of the first 3 champions: 36, 47 and 38. Zack Sabre Jr. as first champion wasn't that bad of a choice anyway because at least it was his first singles title in New Japan and the 15 minutes time limit fits him well (and that time limit is the only thing that makes this title stand out right now). As for the "defending the title in smaller towns" part...well, it never happened. Zack had A LOT of title defenses, none in smaller towns, sadly a lot of them felt pretty meaningless when the NJPW WORLD TV Championship was defended in ROH or AEW against worthless jobbers that most New Japan fans don't even know and won't even watch. It inflated the defense record a lot, and in Japan what is most important about a reign is the number of successful title defenses. Zack had 16 successful defenses, that's a lot, that's way too much for a first reign and it gives almost no chance for anyone to beat that record. Which in a way feels pretty lame since it's the first reign. Having these useless filler title defenses in shows that most New Japan fans don't watch didn't help at all and as a result it's difficult to see how that title can gain much value. Still it had some great title matches like Zack's defenses against Ishii, Shota or Cobb. Tanahashi didn't do much with it, lost it after one successful defense and now Matt Riddle, a wrestler not signed with New Japan, has the belt. It's difficult to see what the purpose of this title is supposed to be right now. At the same time I like the 15 minutes time limit, but with everything I've said about the actual booking of the belt, I can't rate it above 5, even if it can give some good matches here and there, it feels too directionless."

[5.0] "A five-year-old title and all we have to say is that it has been underwhelming. Talented performers have held the title but couldn't elevate it to higher standards. Only a handful of matches fans would be quick to point out and introduce to newer fans. As of writing, the belt went to its all-time low in 2023 with some of the most questionable and lazy bookings you'd see. With incoming signings like Mercedes Mone, TK has taken the opportunity to try polishing his division."

Cruiserweight, Light Heavyweight, etc. Always starts off strong, then dies off and becomes not important anymore. [5.0] "This is a hard title to rate. It made more sense in ECW where Tazz had a legitimate claim to why he thought he should be world champ. The AEW version just seems to get forgotten as AEW has a lot of belts. Match quality of defenses is very varied as some are great and some are the opposite."

[5.0] "EDIT: I'm changing my stance here a bit. NOAH seems intent on rehabilitating this belt's dour image from the 15-minute Akiyama days. Ninja Mack's most recent title defense was a barn-burner 20 minute hardcore war with Alpha Wolf that was the pay off to a year-long rivalry between the two, and it was immediately followed up with a challenge by brutal Japanese legend Shuji Ishikawa. I think NOAH realizes they have something special their building here in this second run, or at least I'd like to think they do. I've bumped up my score a bit here to more accurately reflect the efforts in making this belt matter. If Shuji/Mack ends up being a good program (I kind of don't care who wins between the two, at the moment--Ishikawa would be a great holder, but Mack is kind of a perfect spot-hungry Babyface for this title, and he is -wildly- over with the Japanese crowd) I think I might change my score to entirely reflect the "new era" of this belt, which is pretty positive thus far."

[6.0] "I understand fans of the old ECW didn't like ECW on SciFi, but this title had a decent run in WWE. There were certainly missteps, like Bobby Lashley defending it on other brands, negating the point of having to watch ECW to see the champion. But there were fun title reigns as well. The belts had a unique look to them as well. I think the biggest issue was nobody saw this title on the level of the other title WWE World Title, and honestly they shouldn't have."

[6.0] "The Pure Rules matches are always interesting, and I wish the promotion would have just adapted the rules for all their matches instead of just doing it for this title alone. In fact its weird because its not like there was ever a "pure" division in Ring of Honor. [6.0] "There's been great wrestlers who have held this title, and some with great reigns as well. I don't think the booking around the title was always strong, with the peak being when AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe were feuding over it. There were plenty of weak and weird champions who didn't fit what the X-Division was about."

[6.0] "At times I think the tag team titles were booked strong than TNA's World Champion, but as always with this promotion there were some strange decisions and weak champions. [6.0] "[6.0] Honestly, this title could be something if NJPW put some effort into it. Thing is though it's always changing hands. There have been exactly 3 reigns where the champion retained the belt 4 times and two of those were in the first two years of the belt's existence. Out of the 42 reigns in this title's existence, over a third ended without a successful defense 16 out of 42 specifically (I won't count Makabe having to vacate it.) 3 Reigns cleared 200 days and the longest reign was the first one and another only made it that long because of the hiatus from the pandemic in 2020. Most of the reigns in the title's lineage are lucky to hit even the 4 month mark. I really hoped that if the IC belt was going to be vacated that at least it would maybe elevate the Openweight Belt up a bit, but unlike it's brother US Title, now the Global Championship, which got elevated a bit more thanks to people like Tana and Ospreay holding it, this one has remained stagnant. I really don't have an issue with the matches themselves and every title inevitably will have it's share of questionable champions given enough time. My issue is purely on the fact that New Japan just doesn't seem to value this championship with how it's booked. There are a couple people you can associate with the belt I guess like Goto, Ishii, Shingo Takagi, but no one has really had that long, defense filled reign to make it feel important in years. I don't know, I guess I just thought by now we would've gotten something better out of this belt and nothing seems to have changed."

[6.0] "This title has had memorable moments throughout its short history. Had some great feuds like the Uso v New Day and great moments like Slater's victory. This belt was in a bit of a free fall until Rhea got it and she's definitely raised its value by the belt just being associated with her, now if she actually defended it regularly and had great fueds this belt would definitely get a higher rating."

[6.0] "WELP. Started out the best way possible with ZSJ as the first champion and giving him a solid, long reign with a time limit stipulation that suited him well. The loss to Tanahashi was a head scratcher that immediately tanked the belt's prestige for me given the quality of that particular match as a title changer, and that Tana's lone successful defense was comedy shlock. Why is this not being used for the younger guys?"

[6.0] "Docking some points for it constantly being brought back for no good reason and dropping it on people who deserve way better. What's the luck that two of the most charismatic wrestlers of all time were given bad gimmicks and had to hold this title doing so? Neither Steve Austin or L.A. Knight deserved this title, as it almost immediately slowed down their trajectories in the WWE if things didn't change fast. Other than that, it was a fantastic gimmick for Ted DiBiase, and was great for storylines of it's time. I just think it should have been retired the moment Ted Dibiase was done with it. I guess you'll do whatever for that nostalgia pop."

So in all a fun prop title but not much beyond that."

[6.0] "This needs to be renamed the "Stephanie Vaquer" championship. While there are a few other talented women on the roster, Vaquer is the only one who has fans buzzing outside of Mexico. Prior to that, look at where the title was...Marcela, Dalys, Marcela, oh, hey, Syuri...in 2015! The title had been held hostage by old women past their prime that didn't want to give up their spots. I have nothing against Sugehit, but her reign was pointlessly long. I can only guess CMLL wanted to keep the women's babyface side somewhat strong, in theory. In practice, this title had meant nothing for years, and it's the fault of a promotion that didn't care to get younger women ready until a pandemic forced them to face reality. Oh, well, at least the promotion saw the light eventually. Only hard work and proper booking will increase this championship's relevance."

[6.0] "one of the flops of the wwe titles, I know the finn balor injury wasn't supposed to happen and if it didn't I think he would of had a good 200-250 day reign at least cause finn deserved it. Kevin Owens saved it and made the title start to look somewhat like a contender to the wwe title but then he lost to Goldberg and the title's prestige completely dipped because I believe Kevin Owens should have beat Goldberg and then Brock and Oldberg would have there match at Mania without the title stipulation so Brock never holds this title cause when Brock won it and barely defended it even though he had some good matches like the fatal four way at SummerSlam, it just sucked he didn't need a 504 day reign that isn't even as good as CM Punks reign nowhere close. After the roman leukemia reign where he had to vacate it which was very sad cause he could of turned heel all the way back but unfortunately they couldn't do it because of the cancer. Brock again winning the title for another 5 months was unnecessary cause Braun at the time was over and for some reason Vince was dumb and decided to give Brock the title thinking the we wanted that ever again. Thankfully Seth won the title and went on to be the first person in awhile to actually put the title on the line regularly but things don't always have good endings cause Brock won MITB and was the secret entrant winning the briefcase in a record 30 seconds and cashing it in the next month and becoming champion again a 3rd time and this time I get it cause Seth and Brock were still in a feud at the time and they were telling a story of seth being the underdog and the "bEaSt sLaYeR". Anyways Seth's second reign was good with the fiend matches except for HIAC (we don't talk about that) and the fiend winning the title and having a good reign until Oldberg comes in and ruins the fiend by squashing him in 3 minutes. Strowman finally winning the title was stupid because they did it in front of nobody when he should won it 2 years prior at Crown Jewel but at least he had the title. So far Roman Reigns's reign is going fantastic and has the best matches of the title's history but he needs to defend it more like he's turning into Brock and it's not good cause then people aren't gonna care much about him holding it for 1200 days because his limited appearances. Besides that his reign is I think the best reign since CM Punk's reign and the bloodline story is perfect! besides all this the title is alright could have been booked way better than it was and I have faith in Cody to make this title better so i'm changing to 6"

[6.0] "One of my favorite designed belts just by how classic it is and how much it *looks* like a trophy, so bonus points. And there are some great reigns for this belt, the majority of the holders are considered some of the best or at least well respected wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling. But... fuck, if you want a great example of how booking can tarnish the legacy and importance of a belt, this belt is the perfect example. Of course, the biggest example is the time from 1999 in January to the end of WCW. Constant less than week long reigns, vacancies, shitty confusing booking, and some of the worst title holders of all time in Vince Russo and David Arquette. You can say who really is the worse of the two, I think Vince is worse simply because he wasn't even a fucking celebrity. At least most of the other title holders at this time were people that made sense. Let's be honest though, 1999 - 2001 isn't the only bad time for this belt. 1994 - 1995 was also especially dreadful, at least depending on how much you like what I call Hoganism. 469 day reign for the Hulkster with some absolutely abysmal to straight up horrendous booking, such as the Starrcade main event with Brutus the fucking Barber Beefcake, and the entirety of Halloween Havoc 1995's main event. Also, 1991 - 1992 wasn't great either, with Ric Flair being fired and bringing the belt to WWF, and Lex Luger not getting the victory against Flair that he deserved. Let's just ignore Lex Luger isn't the greatest wrestler either. There are some great parts of this belt's history though. Vader's title reigns are great, Sting and Ric Flair were great most of the time, a lot of the NWO storyline worked wonderfully with the title, Bill Goldberg's victory alone was wonderful, and even the victories for people like DDP and Booker T were great. And it was decently used during the Invasion angle if you don't think about how the majority of the holders were WWF people. It's really hard to rate this title due to how it only lasted for 10 years, and the extremes of quality it went through during that period. I do think if WCW continued and were able to get out of the troughs of an overbooked warzone, surely 2000 would only be a footnote in the grand scheme of things. I mean, WWE has had some pretty awful years that nearly damaged the legacy of its world titles. A short lived belt that had a wack ass history, but well loved for a good reason. Did I mention the design of the belt is good?"

[6.0] "[6.0] The weakest belt in AEW right now (Other than the FTW belt, which is technically an outlaw belt so you can decide whether or not it counts) by a huge margin. It feels like this belt has barely done a thing for anyone whose held it. The Elite lost it immediately because of Brawl Out, Death Triangle did okay, House of Black were decent, and I've often forgotten that the Acclaimed have the belts. Hopefully Bullet Club Gold makes these belts work, because they absolutely need a refresh."

That being said, the way it's handled today is just so poor, the fact Billy Corgan is in charge of its booking is just sad. We seriously went from Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, and Terry Funk to Tyrus and EC3. Unless Corgan gets out of the NWA, this belt may never see the prestige it got back in the glory days."

Howewer, it exists for nearly 5 years and the only memorable reigns were Kabuki Warriors, Sasha and Bayley and Shayna and Nia. I think Piper and Chelsea were also kinda entertaining. [7.0] "I get that the NXT Championship was this symbol of change from within for WWE, but that change has been snuffed out, and the title lost its way well before the 2.0 era even began. The "FCW with better production value" era of Seth/Big E/Bo was totally fine as a purely developmental title; Big E's 5-count and Bo's gradual heel turn were super underrated angles. Neville's reign was by far the best in the title's history, making it look important week after week and delivering in every single defense. Zayn & Owens had weaker reigns but managed to make the title feel even more important to hold. From Balor's first reign on though, the problem sinks in: the NXT Title has now become a championship that well-known outside talent comes in and challenges for and then usually wins to defend against other well-known veteran talent. Actual developing male talent is mostly kept to the Tag Division from then on, even when the NA & Cruiserweight Titles come into the picture. Good matches occurred in that stretch from Balor through Ciampa, sure, but it really lost its luster. Then came the era of NXT trying to go for "epics" that baited star ratings and MOTY honors with guys like Gargano & Cole, and while I might be in the minority here, fuck I hate that. Matches that go long just to be long, matches that have a bunch of moves just to look cool without playing the face vs heel thing nearly at all; there's a limit I have for both of those things but together I don't even want to bother. From Kross winning the title on it's basically been a joke too, with two instances of it being vacated and nobody new winning a title that was designed for talent learning the WWE style and coming up to the main roster. Just give the Steiner kid the title and let it be proper developmental again, don't even try to cling to the previous era, and this title will go back to being decent. EDIT: Carmelo & Dragunov have brought this belt's quality in terms of both matches & character back up without needing to go full developmental again, so I'm giving it another point. If they can stick the landing on Ilja's reign and get another couple good ones in the books (Trick & Dijak perhaps), then I might go higher."

[7.0] "Up through Miro's run I would have easily given this an 8 at least, but ever since Sammy's run it's lost a lot of its prestige. I feel for Scorpio since he clearly wanted to have a more serious, competitive run with the title but with Guevara inserting himself into the scene despite dropping it twice it's turned into somewhat of a joke. Hopefully Sky can have a solid rest of his run until Wardlow inevitably takes and elevates the belt. UPDATE 4/3/23: Despite Wardlow taking the belt things have not gotten much better. Aside from Darby's excellent short run as an attempt to somewhat reboot the title, everything has felt anywhere from forgettable to shockingly poor, due in no part to the champions themselves. Guys like Joe and Wardlow should have been able to bring a sense of prestige back to the strap, yet it just felt like they were set up in a series of unexciting mid-card matches with one or two exceptions. Giving Wardlow a second run with the belt only to have him drop it 3 days later was also an unbelievably strange decision, although Hobbs is an excellent choice for champion and it can hopefully allow for Wardlow's eventual grudge match with him to make the title feel like it matters again. For now though, I'm dropping this from a 7 to a 5. UPDATE 3/7/24: Despite them dropping the ball HARD with Will Hobbs and Wardlow again, Christian has single-handedly washed the mud off the title with his impressive promo skills (to the point of getting a phrase like "Your father is dead" over), ability to carry himself simultaneously as a legitimately big deal and the single most punchable member of the AEW roster, and ring skills to back it all up. Matches like his fight with Darby at WrestleDream make the TNT look like something worth fighting over again, a far cry from how it was at this time last year. Hopefully it continues to"

With new booking, I think this belt has a good future with a lot of good future holders from WWE and in NXT. For the longest time this belt just kinda felt forgotten about. It just doesn't felt prestigious, and more of a participation trophy in the WWE. Give it to a big name who can't be in any of the main title pictures, don't worry about it. blegh."

I hated to ending of the Better Than You Baybay feud, I hated the Jay White stuff (which killes Jay's momentum) and I hated the last match. Since that, Joe has been tbh a terrible champion, his aura isn't big enough ( he was a secondary champion in a child company before becoming the world champion, makes no sense) and I hate what's going on today. I just HOPE that Ospreay, Page or Strickland take his title soon because please this is bad, and of them will make it important again"

The 5 minutes of run ins should annoy me but as its not house of torture I was fine with it! At the end of the day i see WWE really as good fun instead of "real" wrestling, bar a few outstanding wresters like Gunther and really, I'm happy to turn my brain off for a feel good moment like this."
