CAGEMATCH: What first made you want to get into pro wrestling? Were you a wrestling fan growing up? When did you say, "That is what I want to do"? And what did your family/friends say about that?

BILLY FIVES: I have been a wrestling fan for most of my life. I grew up on NWA Florida and always thought I would like to become a wrestler.I grew up with Norman Smiley and he brought me to a school and got me started.

CAGEMATCH: Who were your trainers?

BILLY FIVES: I was trained at Rusty Brooks' School of Hard Knocks by Rusty Brooks, Norman Smiley, Barry Houston, Dave Heath (Gangrel) and a bunch of local workers.

CAGEMATCH: You wrestled in Saudi Arabia and Peru for Future of Wrestling . What was it like to wrestle there? Is there a difference between the “typical” US crowd and the crowds in these countries?

BILLY FIVES: It was great in both locations. Peru was about what I suspected but Saudi was a surprise. We were treated great and I was surprised to find Burger King, McDonalds, TGI Fridays', Planet Hollywood and a lot of other US company's you would not expect to find there. The crowds are a lot easier to please and aren't out there pretending like they know the business or could do it better like the fans in the US.

CAGEMATCH: You’ve held several titles in your career. Does “wearing a championship belt” mean something to you?

BILLY FIVES: It means something because it means the promoter has faith in you to carry his belt. It's a compliment from your employer.

CAGEMATCH: Talking about your CZW Appearance. Did you liked the way it worked out? And could you think of working in CZW regular?

BILLY FIVES: CZW was a great experience. The whole company is top notch. I would happily work there again. The company, lockerroom, atmosphere, all great.

CAGEMATCH : You wrestle for so many promotions in- an outside the USA. Is there a promotion you consider your “home” and if so, why?

BILLY FIVES: FOW would be my home promotion. Not only is it in my area but I have been with the company from day 1. I watched it go from drawing a couple hundred regularly to a couple thousand regurlarly.

CAGEMATCH: You had the chance to wrestle for WWF/E, WCW and NWA. What do you think about these matches? Has this been chances for exposure or “just matches”?

BILLY FIVES: They are just matches. I enjoy working for the WWE and NWA but hated WCW. What a miserable working enviroment. No one was happy there when I was there.

CAGEMATCH: What was the funniest story you've experienced inside a wrestling ring/locker room?

BILLY FIVES: There have been alot. One that comes to mind is a local wrestler who's draw string broke on his tights and when he went up to the top rope to hit a big move his gear dropped down to his knees and showed the crowd that he did not wear bikinis or briefs.

CAGEMATCH: Did you ever got contacted by NWA TNA to work on their PPVs?

BILLY FIVES: I was contacted but never responded. The mid-week travel was to much of an inconvience for me. I teach at a College in Miami and it would be hard to miss all those days.

CAGEMATCH: In 2001 you wrestled Low Ki’ in the 1st round of the ECWA Super 8 Tournament. What are your thoughts on your match and your opponent?

BILLY FIVES: I liked the match and was glad I got to work Ki in the opener. The booker had enough faith in us to kick the show off and set the pace. I have worked Ki a few times since and it has been a pleasure every time. He is a great worker and a great guy. Don't let him know I said that.

CAGEMATCH: What do you think about the fans? Do you feel fans today are too demanding? Is it to much "we want more high spots and bumps"?

BILLY FIVES: Like anything wrestling has evolved and now you need to do more highspots and take more bumps but I do think the fans have, for the most part, forgotten that there still needs to be wrestling on a wrestling show.

CAGEMATCH: This is our standard Question. If you got the chance wrestle any wrestler on the planet on any place, who and where would you wrestle?

BILLY FIVES: Past would be Ricky Steamboat anywhere and present would be Benoit at WrestleMania.

CAGEMATCH: Is there anything you want to say to your German fans?

BILLY FIVES: I hope to see you soon and will not dissappoint
