Willow got her through it and definitely won with the Babe with the Powerbomb for the big babyface win. Group Hug, celebrates with her family and then sets up her big challenge with Mercedes post match. Good on both ladies for getting everything out of it that they wanted."

[6.0] "This match is not bad, but it has the opposite problem of the Steel Cage Match between Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura. In fact, the match between Joe and Nakamura was too slow, this one is too short and too much chaotic. Unfortunately, this 6/10-matches are the best which Becky was able to make in that period. (6/10)"

[10.0] "This match was excellent. In some ways, the only complaint I have about it is just that it's exactly the match you imagined these two having - which is to say it was a perfect, amazing and beautiful match. I think it was just absolutely perfect. It was one of those matches that felt like Kawada and Misawa going into it and by the time it was peaking it still had the exact same feeling. An utter masterpiece."

[8.0] "This match was very good. It's so nice seeing Thunder Rosa back wrestling on pay per view. This match had a decent amount of time for it. Toni Storm has the best gimmick in wrestling and her matches have been so good lately. This match in general was just really compelling and well worked by both wrestlers. I liked it a lot."

[7.0] "This was a really good match. It was a short match but it was still fun and had some good drama. It had been building a lot as well. The post match celebration with Willow's family was also really cool. Overall so happy to see Willow win this title and also really proud of how good of a title run Julia Hart has had."

[7.0] "This was a really fun match. I liked the trio of Eddie Kingston and Mark Briscoe and Adam Copeland a lot. What an intriguing team. The match was really good. A great length and great work from everybody. The finish was also really creative."

[9.0] "I thought this match was really quite good. It had a good, slow pace that eventually built into some really dramatic moments. Pac looked quite good throughout this match and I think Okada really is establishing himself to a potentially new audience as just an absolutely incredible talent. My main complaint about this match is the finish. They talk about there being no interference, which technically there wasn't. But then it still wasn't a clean finish. That's kind of hypocritical booking in my opinion. But other than that this match was great."

[7.0] "As per usual, Nanae Takahashi tried her absolute hardest to steal the spotlight, this time though by moving around the ring as much as she possible could - sounds strange, but it looked so uncomfortable so I couldn't help but notice. When she tried to run the ropes one particular time, it looked like she would crumble in agony. ZONES worked very hard to stand out, rookies usually do that all the time but she has great babyface fire that makes her sympathetic. Hashimoto and Yuu worked hard to give ZONES every chance to stand out and look strong, imo they did a good job. Hopefully post-match between Takahashi and Hashimoto won't lead to a singles match between them, in 2024 that sounds both boring and painful."

[8.0] "Great match perfect ending to Joes title reign which was exactly what it needed to be a solid reign for the veteran when the company needs it and ending with putting over the younger talent Swerve is that next superstar and hes getting that much deserved push its gonna be great to see where his career goes and it was amazing to see him win"

[10.0] "I was not able to watch this live and got it spoiled before I got around to watching it today. But the elation I felt watching Sami win this match was unbelievable. Sami is the ultimate underdog and the people who say it was forced never watched him in NXT or early in his main roster run. The psychology was amazing. Gunther doing his normal Gunther thing and beating down his opponent. But he just could not get Sami to quit, so he was thrown off his game. He stopped going for pins and instead just wanted to embarrass Zayn and get into his and his wife's head. He disrespected the mat and went against everything his character is about because of Zayn's inability to quit. The callbacks to El Generico in him flopping around and hulking up and the BRAINBUSTER ON THE TURNBUCKLE were incredible. When he hit that brainbuster I nearly fell out of my bed. I wanted Gable in this match cause I felt his story mad more sense, which I will say the build was not great, but the in ring storytelling these two men can put on is unmatched. These two are some of the best to ever do it and this match will stick with me for a long time."

[1.0] "Seriously no reason for these WWE preshows to be as long and uneventful as they are, so I'm going to rate them all poorly for as long as they continue existing in my watch!"

[5.0] "I think the Miz is a rather boring and unentertaining wrestler for the most part. He isn't my cup of tea in. He's not very quick, smooth or technical. Although I dont like his in ring work he has in the past cut some great promos like the ones on Enzo Amore and Daniel Bryan. But in terms of a character he can only work as a heel."

[4.0] "There was literally no need for this to be a fatal four-way match since Kong and Nyla got taken out early. The most exciting portion was when Kylie and Britt went one-on-one towards the end (the only real-time anyone was sold in this match, too)."

[10.0] "One of the greatest to ever do it greatest ever ROH champion no dispute Joe is a monster like Brock Lesnar but better cause Joe is brown and isnt an alleged sex offender"

[6.0] "I guess this was more like a mini gauntlet rather than American style a three way. Choshu's part felt kind of pointless with him getting eliminated pretty quickly and Tenzan and Chono are just guys who really don't click with me. It was an ok brawl, but not exactly memorable."

[] "It was a terrific show from top to bottom. Danielson/Ospreay was one of the best matches I've ever seen, PAC/Okada was terrific, Rosa/Toni was a strong women's match, KOR/Strong had a great match, and FTR/Bucks was a lot of fun. Loved that Cole can walk again and it was great to see Jack Perry back in AEW. The moment of the night was Swerve winning the world title. Well deserved! Whose house?"

[6.0] "I didn't appreciate the ending when Ambrose won with a roll up after the verbal clash between Orton and Harper, but this match is acceptable in any case. Both Orton and Ambrose made worse in those years. It's also useful to develop the tensions between Orton and Wyatt Family. (6/10)"

[8.0] "This match overall, and both wrestlers' individual performance earned much better crowd reactions than they got - Kawahata really stepped up her game here and her offense looked good enough to make her feel like a threat and Iwata did a very good job carrying herself and wrestling like a strong champion. Last few minutes were almost as good as Momono/VENY sequence in the previous match. ***1/2"

[] "Great opener. Really established big match Okada in the US. Pac's bumping and selling were top tier. Okada's heel stick was excellent. The tease of the Rainmaker pose god tier trolling."

[1.0] "This was a snoozefest. Jey and Jimmy Uso were a great team, but here they just didn't even try, it seemed. A hundred super kicks and a bunch of punches is all we got in this family feud between twin brothers. Jey is the right choice as a winner as he is over with the crowd and has more charisma than Jimmy. I am surprised there's been no Rikishi in this storyline, but this match just didn't have anything special going on within the time limit. So far, this mania has been a bit of a bust altogether."

[] "I wish we could rate the opening match as the four of them put on an amazing performance that helped set the pace for the rest of the show! Over all the show had a few changes due to outside circumstances but the show was still a hit and, being there in person, the crowd and energy were amazing. Look forward to see the next BGB"

[6.0] "much more engaging and eventful than their New Japan Cup bout. It felt like Okada got a lot less offence in compared to last time, but here i saw him deliver a much more appeasing performance when selling and bumping for Fale and his girthier attacks. I got loud when he hit that German Suplex. [3.25]"

[8.0] "I guess because this particular Sendai Girls show was uploaded to Wrestle Universe, Momono and VENY decided to go all-out and had a borderline must-see sequence against each other. I always wonder what are the impressions of fans that see Momono for the first time, as she's one of the biggest examples why 'appearance is deceitful' in today's pro-wrestling. It inspired both Oka and Suzuki to push their limits but compared to VENY/Momono they're way less experienced, though it added a certain charm to a finishing stretch between them. ***3/4"

[7.0] "I love big dumb multi-man matches. Everyone got their shit in. It was unfortunate that the Meat Madness match did have to take a backseat so Jericho can get on the PPV, but the other guys made up for it by bumping their asses off for the big guys. Sometimes you have to turn your brain off every now and then"

[7.0] "Knowing the history of these two, it was obvious their chemistry was going to show off some very brutal and impressive moments. The middle half was the most adrenaline fueled, and I hope this doesnt take OReilly away from the title picture. Adam Cole returning is really awesome to see though. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Honestly it was a great match but kinda wish it was FTR and the Bucks big fan of both just wanted someone newer but obviously theyre always gonna put on a good match and thats what this was and its good to see Jack Perry again"

[6.0] "I wasn't looking forward to this show, which is half of the battle. You can have the greatest matches of all time on the card... It doesn't matter if what came before was the shits. None of these matches had a good build. The only match that had a build that was worthy of a ppv was Joe vs Swerve. But with Swerve trying to do the psycho thing while bleeding and basically saying "is that all you got" and than just getting beaten down again... he cooled down significantly as well. The first four matches were mediocre at best. Not because they were bad on a technical level but because of the lack of build and/or people to care about. PAC hasn't been consistently presented as anything so why is he having a 50/50 match for 20 minutes with Okada. Okada hasn't been presented well and doesn't look strong at all. Even less so now. I don't care about anyone in the six man tag, which is a pity because the House Of Black could be cool, Edge was once cool but already lost all his momentum, Mark Briscoe is a complete joke in AEW and Kingston is great on the mic and as a character but he's terrible in the ring. I do not care about Willow, nor Julia Hart and I care even less about whatever title they were fighting for. Hook's title doesn't matter either but at least Jericho and Hook created some interest. Yes Jericho has go away heat, but that's still better than no heat and no one else in the company has any heat. Jericho should be better at hiding his weaknesses (mainly his cardio) but other than that it was a good match imo that elevated Hook. Toni Storm is an over the top parody that I dislike an Thunder Rose is a good wrestler that I haven't seen in a while and had forgotten about. I don't remember why I should care. Despite that they had a good match. Danielson and Ospreay had a match of the year candidate... if only there was some type of build or reason for these two to fight beyond their supposed status as the best in the world. I've hated the Bucks for a while now for different reason. Mainly their lack of psychology, their lack of mic skills and charisma and their backstage politics. That being said, I enjoyed their match. Why? Well I don't like seeing these types of matches too often but I've only seen the Bucks twice this year (the other match being Revolution). Only seeing the bucks sporadically evidently helps. It also helped that I saw the travesty that was the 6-team ladder match at wrestlemania. It somewhat made me respect the bucks more. Despite what I think of them, their stuff looks good and seems as safe as these things can be. It's also 2 vs 2, which always makes more sense than having more bodies and more chaos out their. Despite not being the biggest fan of these matches anymore I must admit that The Bucks made it look better than anyone else in recent memory. The main event was good but too awkward at times with a couple of mistakes by Swerve. But it delivered adequately. To sum it all up. It's a good ppv with good matches... That didn't care about because of lack of build and people to care about. And it ran at least half an hour too long. 4 hours is too long for any event. Around 3h being the magic number and 3, 5h being the cut of point imo. Especially with it being all action. With WWE there are commercials to skip through (if you don't watch it live, which I never do because it would be in the middle of the night til early morning). AEW/Tony Khan needs to learn that having good matches and good ppv's isn't enough. Wrestling fans are wrestling fans because they want stories and characters to be invested in. If not, they'd watch mma or boxing instead. Every successful company ever succeeded because of the creative side of things. Signing big names and having great matches and nothing else has never worked and will never work."

[7.0] "This was built up very well, and while the pace of this show couldve made everyone a bit less wiped out, but they still brought some great intensity. Joe starting off dominant was the right call, and it further led to what everyone was waiting to see. Swerve being AEW Champion is what many have been waiting for since Full Gear, and I am so excited for this chapter in his career. And he brought out a great and resilient performance along with it. And that Black Panther entrance was awesome! ***3/4"

[7.0] "A good match which proves that The Miz is a so much underrated performer. I don't need to talk about AJ, in that period he was at his peak in WWE. (6.5/10)"

[8.0] "This was a lot of pressure for them to follow the classic that just happened, but they had the advantage to get some crazy spots. Cash doing a great job getting more out of his comfort zone, The Bucks mixing their heelish charisma with the insane spots, and Dax making us worried for his safety again. The Jack Perry interference was the right call after the Brawl In footage backfiring extremely, and I hope it gives Perry a great boost back in the company. ****1/4"

[10.0] "It's one of the greatest matches that you'll ever see in your lifetime. This match had everything and was an emotional rollercoaster the entire way. No words can truly justify how great this match was!"

[10.0] "This might be the best tag match to happen under the WWE umbrella and a top 5 match in 2016. Two great teams, a well-built story and excellent sequence after excellent sequence. Each fall was executed with precision and the 3rd was the emotional climax. The call backs to the 1st match were a nice touch and DIY making both Dawson and Wilder tap to win the titles is an iconic image. (*****)"

[7.0] "I have been waiting for a match in Tonis reign to match the greatness in her matches like with Hayter, but this was the closest to it in a long time. Rosas new look made sense with the story, they played very well with their characters, and while I wasnt the biggest fan of the ending, the result is what it shouldve been. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Very good match. Arisa returns after missing three months due to a scary neck injury, so it's nice to see her back. This got a lot of time, kept a consistent pace with something always happening, there were a lot of hard hitting exchanges and plenty of teamwork on display. The momentum would shift between the teams as everybody got to have their moment to shine. The main focus of the match was Arisa and Hiroyo, and they went at it with one stiff shot after another. The last few minutes had some good nearfalls and pin breakups, and in the end it was Arisa who managed to get the pin on Hiroyo. Really entertaining, this was a lot of fun to watch. After the match, Arisa announced she would be retiring in August due to all of the injuries she's accumulated and challenged Hiroyo to be her final opponent. That will be one to look forward to. 8/10"

[5.0] "This isnt as awful as I think its getting received. Jerichos win is confusing, but the match had some good spots. But the crowd not caring, and me only being half invested didnt help things though. **1/2"

[5.0] "Its seeming that Julia was hurt, but Im really glad Willows FINALLY getting some gold in AEW. Her against Mercedes should be a banger. **3/4"

[] "This was a ton of fun! Orange and Shibata make for a great team due to their stylistic differences. The comedy spots really landed for me here, and Shane Taylor impressed me. I would love to see more of him on Dynamite and Collision. Rating: ***1/2"

[7.0] "This had a lot more entertainment to it than I was expecting. Eddie going chop crazy, Briscoe bringing out crazy spots left and right, and great buildup to Copeland vs. Black. The triple spear spot was maybe my favorite spot of the match, and this was just consistent entertainment, with stuff to build up. ***1/2"

[10.0] "I'll try to keep this short. Danielson and Ospreay have insane chemistry for two wrestlers who have never been in the ring together before. Ospreay is an athletic phenom and Danielson is simply the best. Innovative sequences, hard hitting, drama, it's all here. Some of the chants were a little annoying but I will let it pass because the crowd was very into this. I actually thought the ending was a little overdone but again I'll let it pass because this match was GREAT."

[6.0] "I did not experience the pathos that others seem to have gotten from this match. I can envision Stone Cold Steve Austin muttering under his breath that "less is more" when watching the first half. Execution wise, the moves were impressive, I will give them that."

[9.0] "I honestly believe that if Benoit hadn't given literally everything he had to the profession, he wouldn't have ended up in the terrible physical & mental shape he was in his final year when he "lost it" and did what he did. By the end this guy had taken so many bumps and been in so many physical matches that he was quite literally deteroriated (including his brain) and was still giving everything he had to wrestling, when he probably should have taken a step back for the sake of himself and his family. Unfortunately for Benoit, he worked for WWE and 'taking time off' for himself probably would have resulted in a roster cut at that point. There's no question that WWE's cutthroat style of management probably kept him pushing himself far harder and longer than he should have, instead of taking time off for his health. It's a tragic situation no question, but I find it too easy to just pin 100% of the blame on a guy who was giving everything he had to an industry that just chewed him up and spit him out at the end. As a wrestler he absolutely deserves at least a 9/10 and I refuse to define him by a single tragic event that probably could have been prevented had WWE actually cared about the well-being of their workers back then, which they clearly didn't."

[7.0] "Probably the match that had the best build to it. Even though there is plenty of stuff I didn't like about the build, these two are head and shoulders above everyone else because they're allowed to show some character. There are reasons to be invested in them besides being good wrestlers. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending and it's a nice moment. Swerve is the one guy that came into AEW and was actually elevated. Everyone else's net worth went down because of the way they were presented. It's a shame it wasn't a better match, it would have elevated him more. There were some awkward moments and Swerve made a few mistakes that Joe had to correct. The clothesline from Joe against the post (with Swerve not ducking the first time), Joe having to stay in position for an awkward amount of time for a top rope move from Swerve and than again a second later for another top rope move. Swerve is too slow on the ropes, he really needs to work on that. I've seen it in other matches as well. The "breaking" of Joe's arm didn't look good either. He's done that before and it always looked good. I feel like Swerve choked a little with this being his first singles main event and first world title maybe? Nothing too egregious but with AEW almost always having strong world champions (Hangman being the weakest), it shows. It's also a shame that Swerve didn't beat a stronger champion. I like Joe but his title reign would forever be tainted by the fact that he lost to an injured MJF and than won the rematch in a less than dominant fashion. It's good that they took the belt off him relatively quickly because nothing could have ever completely fixed that (Except for maybe beating a returning MJF at full health)."

[] "I feel like Chris Jericho might be the only guy in AEW with legitimate go away heat. This was rough to sit through and the crowd let him have it, in what was the most entertaining aspect of this match by far. There was no reason for this to go on for as long as it did. Rating: *3/4"

[9.0] "This match contained what made me excited about it to begin with, but surprised me with how much the slower build-up in the first half worked for me. Okada continued to do amazing heel work, and him flipping off the camera was surprising and hilarious. PAC sold his ass off here, and it brought more fuel to when he had the advantage. I would love to see a rematch with these two. ****1/4"

[10.0] "I am very disappointed that this match is rated so criminally low atm. Roderick Strong vs Kyle OReilly was honestly my top 2 MOTN from this ppv here. This contest was a brilliant wrestling gem that had plenty of insane counters, wild striking exchanges, and awesome technical sequences. This gets a well-deserved 10 out of 0 from me here."

[9.0] "I knew this match would be special from the moment they opened with double underhooks. It had such a distinct, old school indie feel, and I'm truly glad the AEW International Championship exists for matches like this. Some of the counterwork was downright brutal, such as KOR's knee cutting off Roderick's tackle and the rope slingshot guillotine choke counter. Wonderful display of hard hits, technique and subtle storytelling by seasoned veterans."

[10.0] "Im kind of speechless still. I already thought this would be one of the best matches Ive ever seen, but of course Ospreay and Danielson were going to exceed it. Ospreay with his terrific adrenaline mixing the moveset, and Danielson further getting brutal as the match progresses. They kept consistently making my jaw drop, to the point where Bryan caught the Oscutter with the Busaiku Knee made me react like I was in the live crowd. If you want pro wrestling from the best, this became an instant prime example. *****"

[7.0] "Fuegos matches in GCW this year have been pretty enjoyable and this was another like that. He and Janela looked competitive together and chained some good action together with an energetic crowd."

[7.0] "Yano got a surprise win over Tanahashi in the NJ Cup, so he's in full sneaky prick mode here, getting on Ace's nerves and teasing him. Shibata and Sakuraba engage one another with grace (no pun intended), although Sakuraba was very light on his feet at points. He trips over nothing more than once. The finish was very climactic, with Sakuraba snatching a Rear Naked as Tanahashi fails to help his partner out, to then he gets his Sakuraba Lock in for a well-earned victory. Very much enjoyed this one! Might even dare to call it a hidden gem. [3.5]"

[6.0] "Melanie Gray might not be that liked in the cagematch community but she is far from being bad. I thought she leaded that match perfectly, having a competitive bout and a good heel stance during all the match."

[3.0] "Match was far too slow for my liking. I feel like it should have had a few minutes taken off of it and placed further up the card, at least before the great tag team match previous. The booking decision to place it this far up the card is strange to me."

[7.0] "[7.2] I genuinely hate that Logan Paul is as good as he is. He has been wrestling for two years and performs like he's been doing it for 10. Absolute trash human being outside the ring, though. I don't think he should ever be allowed to live down the Suicide Forest video, but as I said, I can't deny that he's good."

[5.0] "Yet another standard midcard trios match. I did really like Super Crazy in this bout. He is really good at directing the action here and putting himself as the director of the match."

[8.0] "Despite Ospreay losing a lot of respect from me on a personal level because of his ill-advised promo against HHH, I do still respect his in ring ability. Danielson had the match of the decade with MJF a while ago imo so I kinda knew this was going to be very good. If I just wanted to see the best fighters against each other I would watch MMA, Boxing or some other legitimate fighting sport though... I don't. I watch wrestling because of everything besides the matches. I watch wrestling because I can get invested in the characters, rivalries and stories. There was nothing here. Danielson hasn't done anything in a while, I barely remember what he sounds like. Ospreay hasn't been here long enough. There's no reason given to me to like this despite it being a "dream match". A dream match that's only a dream match on paper isn't a dream match at all. I still need some reason beyond that to want to see these two fight. That I gave in an 8 despite all that tells you something. It tells you that despite not being invested in either man, they had me me going during the match. The same way Ospreay did with the much less experienced Takeshita. So yeah, I know how good he is. Know give me a reason to look forward to his next match."

[5.0] "Average match, nothing great here, but nothing offensive here. Just a standard midcard match, nothing to write home about."

[10.0] "The greatest match in AEW history, only Swerve vs Hangman and Omega vs Ospreay at FD even come close. MOTY."

[8.0] "You could sense the disappointment in the crowd when Moxley issued his challenge to Powerhouse Hobbs... to take place on a DIFFERENT episode of Dynamite. Besides that, though, this was a very solid promo that started the show off with some good energy, and a great way to celebrate Moxley's accomplishment of becoming the first wrestler to win WWE, AEW, and NJPW world championships."

[10.0] "10 out of 10, no notes. Live, it was the most incredible match I've ever seen. I haven't rewatched the replay yet, but wow. The energy in the crowd, and the match came together to perfection."

[5.0] "Maybe I am being too harsh on it but to my eyes this show is just average. The first bout and the main event help elevate the event, but the middle of the card is just not my cup of tea, and having a match be stopped by outside interference on a bigger show like this is just not my cup of tea."

[8.0] "Pretty decent match, it could have been longer but for what we got it was good. Theres a very memorable spot where Goldberg hits the spear to Jericho and breaks the glass. I wasnt a fan of the aftermath where the Evolution beat the hell out of Goldberg. Overall it was a pretty decent match."

[7.0] "I was going back and forth about skipping this. Thunder Rosa is fine but haven't seen her in a while and I'm tired of Toni Storm's gimmick. It was funny at first but went too much into parody fast. She almost has go away heat with me. In the ring Thunder Rosa is pretty good but I haven't seen a great match from Storm, ever. They kinda turned me over though. I got into this by the end. It's probably the best match I've seen out of Toni Storm. If only she would get rid of the gimmick."

[7.0] "Short and sweet. I love the wild screams that Fuyuki is belching out are the highlight of the whole thing to me. Funk throws some fucking rock fists at about the midpoint of the match, it's always nice to see some stiff punches in the mix."

[7.0] "This is the first match I cared about. Not because I expected a great match but because I'm somewhat invested in both of these wrestlers. On a personal level I dislike Jericho as much as anyone else. On a professional level, he is a legend and he was the first AEW world champion so he has some pedigree. A rivalry with Jericho at this point is still worth something. The people shouted "F Jericho" "Go Home Jericho" and other things. He clearly has go away heat. And I agree that's the bad kind of heat... But it's still better than no heat at all, which is what everyone else in this company has. I heard people saw Hook got buried and I don't see how. He came out looking strong if you ask me. The idea behind this rivalry was fine but the execution lackluster and very very rushed. Seems like this isn't going to be the end of the rivalry so maybe they can fix it somehow. My only real problem with the match is that Jericho isn't very good at hiding his weaknesses. He's getting older and his cardio isn't there anymore. I've seen other wrestlers hiding this very well. LA Park in MLW comes to mind as someone who's overweight and old and somehow still made it work a year or two ago. I don't know why Jericho exposes himself like this in a singles match nor why he doesn't learn from other veterans who do succeed despite their physical limitations."

[8.0] "A solid show with a couple of absolutely fantastic moments, most especially (of course) Jon Moxley becoming the first person to hold world titles for NJPW, WWE, and AEW. The Stephanie Vaquer and AZM match was another highlight, and the Sabre/Riddle and Nemeth/Ishii matches were also very solid. And it was amazing to see how over Jack Perry was as a heel, and how much heat and energy he got from the crowd, which hopefully AEW can build upon when he makes his inevitable return..."

[7.0] "OK match elevated by a great moment for Swerve and AEW. There was a few awkward spots and I'm not sure if they fully clicked but it was still a good match. I think some fans expected it to go a bit longer."

[7.0] "These two had a good match in front of a crowd that wasn't that arsed (including me at home). I like these two the most of the TUE guys by a mile but they're still a bit boring. Strikes and back breakers all day."

[10.0] "Absolutely awesome match (as expected given the talent involved), but man it is cringe and annoying with the audience chanting AEW."

[4.0] "Just an okay match. I never really liked these multiteam matches, just feels a little convoluted, and anyhow the rules just get torn to sherds later in the match. Only thing saving it was El Phantasmo and TMDK."

[6.0] "None of these matches were bad (nor were any particularly anything special, with the gauntlet main event the best of the bunch), but it was SO many tag matches with SO many people. First a six-man tag match, followed by an eight-man, followed by not one but TWO ten-teams? ! The only non tag team match was the gauntlet, which was still a match featuring ten different wrestlers. A few singles matches to add a little variety would have been nice..."

[8.0] "Despite the obvious winner, I enjoyed how they told the story of the Rumble. There weren't a whole lot of surprises but that shows how deep the roster is now. There were a lot of stories being advanced and as a whole, it worked well as a build to Mania"

[10.0] "This is one of those once in a generation matches an all time match the crowd was so hot too oh my god 3 minutes in and they were already chanting this is awesome and fight forever and I was feeling the same thing I never wanted the match to end my first reaction after the end was I had to go back and watch it again and Danielsons selling at the end of the match man hes the goat man easy without dispute"

[4.0] "Another short match with Tito also feeling like he had zero shot at winning due to how minimally he was built up. He did a lot of the brunt of it he match in terms of movement with how banged up Kojima seems to be. While I like him, if he is banged up as badly as he is, he should probably lose the title soon if it is strongly affecting his performances."

[] "[7.0] Most matches were at least good with the six man donnybrook match definitely being my match of the night and the Rousey Morgan match and the Kross Mcintyre match was very disappointing and of course Bray Wyatts return was amazing."

[2.0] "Just pretty bad for me personally. Narita I can not really buy as a top guy yet and Suzuki does his best work nowadays in more comedic matches, in my opinion. The cheating to win did not help me buy into Narita as a top guy either, so in my view it fails to put over Narita as well. Would have been better to just stick another guy that Narita crossed paths with before and have Narita win clean since none of his factionmates are there to help him."

[10.0] "Masterpiece. The beautiful tragedy. A battle of ideologies within NJPW. Shibata representing that old Antonio Inokism and Okada representing the way of the current generation. The match that finally made me an Okada fan. This was the match when I realized that Okada was a pro wrestling savant who wrestles his opponents style of match and then beats them at it. Shibata is the definition of "less is more" and simplicity. His black trunks and black boots bring that young lion culture and hunger while Okada's aura is that of a superstar; the robe, the money falling from the sky and the iconic IWGP title reign to back it all up. Shibata beats the absolute breaks off of Okada and the champion will NOT back down and he will NOT be beaten. This match is brutal and aesthetically is just on another level; endurance is sold easily by the amount of sweat flying around from both these guys. How hot was it in there? It's a legendary encounter in a legendary year (2017) in the pantheon of golden age NJPW. Although a bittersweet tragic ending, this is one of the greatest matches of all time. Okada was excellent here but Shibata is an absolute machine. Okada doesn't beat Shibata, he survives Shibata."

[6.0] "I'm sure if you're familiar with these two and have followed ROH this might be great. I never watched ROH but I do know these two from NXT which I watched sporadically at the time. I don't understand the rivalry. Kyle O'Reilly looks like a bum since his return for some reason. I saw the video package and it didn't explain anything. I've seen better matches out of both of them but more importantly I didn't care."

[2.0] "The ultimate indie wet dream. There are two good matches on this show and still they're not the most exciting things you'll see. The opener is meh with none of the guys selling effects of anything, 6-Man Tag was one of the worst things on the show with Kingston outdoing himself when it comes to making people ashamed of watching wrestling and Willow vs Julia had Hart dominate a woman twice her size. Strong vs O'Reilly was one of the better things on this PPV, Jericho vs Hook was a comical disaster and Storm vs Rosa positively surprised with the contender especially impressing. Ospreay vs Danielson will be the talk of the year for every mark who doesn't care about psychology and making things special because movesets are more important to them, Bucks vs FTR was a horrible spotfest with Bald and Glock losing the remains of respect I had for them and the main event was underwhelming, although still it was nice to see Swerve finally get the big one. Another awfully booked, badly structured card with random, cold matches and I can't say I was expecting something else."

[6.0] "5, 5, rounded up to 6. In a vacuum this was a good match, I'd give it an 8. PAC has never done anything really memorable in aew and there was no reason to believe he was going to beat Okada. Okada should be presented as something special, no? So why is he having a 20 minute match with someone we haven't seen in months and hasn't done anything worthwhile? Cut 5-10 minutes off this and present Okada in a more dominant fashion and this would be good. I see no reason to care about Okada through no fault of his own. On the contrary. I thing Okada is really trying. Someone in the back must have told him that to succeed in the western market he's going to have show some emotion and facials. It's what sells us matches. I've never seen so much emotion on Okada's face, ever. He's actually overacting. But he's trying and he'll get it right in no time if he listens to the right people. I never liked his finisher, it looks really weak. This is the first time I've seen his finisher look good."

[7.0] "Gauntlet matches are a fun gimmick, and this was an enjoyable (if not spectacular) match of that type. I particularly enjoyed Jeff Cobb and Sanada's matchup (and laughed when they fought so long among the audience that they both had to run FAST back to the ring to avoid the 20-countout), and thought TJP especially shined in the role of de facto United Empire captain under great pressure to lead his team to a victory (which he does) following a string of recent losses."

[] "[1.0] I started watching AEW in June of last year and I've watched every PPV since Forbidden Door 2023 and this is the first PPV match I've seen that has genuinely annoyed me. Why have one of the hottest stars in all of wrestling and a guy that has been portrayed as a killer struggle to beat an old man who had his ankle shattered before the match. That alone would have been bad enough but Dustin no sold the ankle most of the match. Should have just been an angle to set up the Swerve vs Keith Lee match that was meant to happen here but didn't and is an even bigger reason to just do an angle instead of a match."

[10.0] "Sometimes, matches like these, with wrestlers like those 2, get inflated and people rates them too high. That's not the case, because those two put on probably the best match ever outside of any of the Omega vs Okada series. Just an insane match and one of those that makes you think "How could anyone anytime do something better than that? "."

[7.0] "I really like this three match show. I just do not think that it is anything better than a 7, which is still really good in my view. The nasty Styles Clash at the end really put a damper on the show personally for me."

[5.0] "I think I'm pretty much over ladder matches, and I have no investment in the FTR/Young Bucks rivalry at this point"

[7.0] "Very good match. This is probably the best wrestling match between both nights of WrestleMania 40, and it achieves that by telling the story of a babyface battling through injury and overcoming the odds to win the title from a heel who personally wronged them, a very simple and forever effective story. Bayley is a beloved babyface and has the genuine sympathy of the crowd, who sing and chant for her throughout, and Io Sky is dynamic enough to keep the heat section engaging and enjoyable. I think this is missing a final act and a good 5 more minutes to take it into 'great match' territory, and Bayley's selling of the knee is inconsistent at best, which is a problem since the knee injury is the entire storytelling hook of the match, but this is a very good effort and the crowd response is a testament to that. Very good match and a very nice moment for Bayley, who finally gets her big WrestleMania moment"

[5.0] "A decent tournament bout here. Really shows off Everett here and how he really struggles to try to beat Hanson, but can not do it in the end. Nothing that stands out to be as really great but nothing stands out to me as really bad either."

[6.0] "I am bit mixed about LuFisto because sometimes, she is a bit slow for the set up a some spot, but when she managed to get her shite done, she do it with maestria. The finish sequences felt like an obliteration of Killer Kelly."

[] "Generational talent, sad to know most don't understand what we're watching before he retires. I love what he's doing right now as a Global Ambassador with The Elite."

[7.0] "I like this match, it really shows the heel Taven off well, and I think that Tadarius Thomas really helps them sell this."

[5.0] "It had its moments as Swerve is a fantastic personality, but I don't know what's with Joe not wanting to have a normal big guy vs small guy match sometimes. They literally have a Muscle Buster in the middle of the match and then it doesn't affect Swerve at all, plus there are a couple of spots where the opponent just waits to get hit. But still, it was a nice way to finally pull the trigger on Strickland, even if it's a little bit overdue."

[7.0] "Once again another great match by both groups to get over how heelish Bennett is. Also a great showcase of some of the abilities of Alexander"

[8.0] "Really good match between two top guys. To imagine that ROH TV were putting on great main events at the time when I was so low on WWE is amazing."

[6.0] "This was a whole lot of fun, all thanks to Ishii and Makabe going at each other like Liam and Noel Gallagher at a family function. Shinsuke and Goto's finishing stretch quelled things a touch. [3.25]"

[10.0] "An absolute classic between the 2 best wrestlers in the world today. Danielson sells his neck perfectly, and everybody in the crowd was thinking about an injury at the end of the match. *****+"

[9.0] "In gimmick matches like this, there's usually a few moments where the silliness veers into the banal. But this match was the rare case of a Bunkhouse Brawl match being presented very well. All of the prop/hardcore spots were introduced in smart ways, and the big spots all landed visually. Wrapping Claudio's arm in the chain was a brilliant touch, as was Danielson countering the powerbomb on the top rope and launching Takeshita onto the chair (full credit to Takeshita on that one too! ). Fletcher did a nice job here as well (e.g., the stall-and-lift powerbomb on Claudio was super impressive). I probably would've went with an "8" on this but Danielson's post-match promo was one of the most badass things he's done in a while so it gets a bonus point."

[10.0] "I wanted to wait the next day to let my emotions settle before giving this one rating. Omega/Ospreay II was my favorite AEW match of all time and didn't think it could ever be topped...until now. Not only it was technical perfection in terms of execution, but the in-ring storytelling and emotions were beyond anything I ever witnessed in a wrestling match. Seeing Bryan shaking after that Tiger Driver '91 got me legitimately shook. So as of right now I'm telling myself this match will never be topped. Crazy thing is, Ospreay gonna prove me wrong once again in the future."

[8.0] "Really fun spotfest with some cool spots with the ladders. Cash Wheeler had something to prove it seemed as he turned into Darby Allin for this match. Fun match"

[10.0] "I mean... exactly what did you expect? it's Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay of course it was gonna be incredible."

[6.0] "This was pretty much a DX show. They push the envelope in the opening segment when they strip with the hilariously placed DX sensors on the screen and then they are forced to face each other where it becomes a comical farce where Shawn takes a dive. Jim Cornette's reaction to it made it even more hilarious to watch. The Christmas shows are often lacking in star power and this was no exception but it did show a taped segment from the last week where Austin gives a bogus Santa Claus a stunner for insulting a kid. There's also a lot of shenanigans with the New Age Outlaws where they look for Mankind all show and get ambushed and end up locking him in a freezer. The matches aren't very good here, but there was a some fun memorable moments."

[5.0] "I didn't like how this show ended at all because the character assassination of Jim Neidhart and he just looks foolish where he betrays the Hart Foundation to join DX only for DX to turn on him anyway. As entertaining as Shawn was he was on a massive ego trip at this point. It was a hit and miss show for me. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the New Age Outlaws shock title win against LOD and the Austin/Rock feud in part was great and had a funny moment where there looked like there was technical problems when Rock cuts a promo only for the reveal that Austin was in the production truck. Despite not really liking the ending of the show DX still had a entertaining segment in the middle of the show. I also thought Sgt. Slaughter's promo was very passionate as well. Besides the tag title match and the fun Christopher vs Flanagan sprint, it was a pretty lacklustre show in terms of the matches with a particularly bad Shamrock vs Savio Vega match where it was competitive even though Shamrock was the #1 contender. Not really a fan of his booking at all. The first half of this show was decent and the War Zone half was pretty bad."

[8.0] "Tam is so great in this match. Gone are the hammy theatrics, the over/under selling, the move overkill to borderline silence; just her being as great as I know she can be and putting her inferior opponent over as hard as she can (and presumably not minding that MIRAI decides to basically no sell some of her biggest moves). In fact, ignoring some awkward moments, she's so great it made the result exceptionally disappointing as you feel her opponent is a long way from giving a performance this great and crafting a match this good (if Tam was wrestling any other top person in Stardom this would be an easy 9). I like MIRAI and she hits her spots but her character can still be defined as 'a geek with little presence who screams A LOT' and she really needs to learn how to emote and sell to the degree that the best do in Stardom (maybe she can watch this match back and watch Tam's masterclass). Maybe it'll come together for her with time but, for me, the result was a 'Really? You're going with her? ' moment."
