"Randy, you don't have the heart of a champion"
Date:

Triple H: "I would like to introduce to you the face of a company. I would like to introduce to you the WWE champion, the viper RANDY ORTON!"

[Randy Orton kommt unter seiner Musik zum Ring.]

Randy Orton: "As the face of the WWE protecting this company is my #1 responsibility. I cannot and will not let the image of this company be tarnished. So if you disrespect me, you're disrespecting the entire WWE and you need to be dealt with. Take-- ["No! No!"] Take Daniel Bryan, for example. ["YES! YES!"] Last week on Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan defaced my personal property, an Escalade-- an Escalade that Triple H personally gave me. He defaced it. So, in turn, I had no choice but to deface Daniel Bryan.

[Ein Video wird eingespielt wie Randy Orton mit Hilfe von The Shield Daniel Bryan abserviert. Anschließend sprüht Orton ein "NO" auf die Brust von Daniel Bryan.]

So now everybody, I'd like to take a page out of Daniel Bryan's book and I'd like to play a game with you. A Question-and-Answer-Game. An audience-participation-game that you all love very much. So uhh, here it goes: 'Should Daniel Bryan face me at Night of Champions for the WWE title?' [Jubel und "YES!"-Chants] NO! 'Does Daniel Bryan even have the slightest chance in hell of defeating me at Night of Champions?' ["YES!"] NO! 'Will Daniel Bryan ever amount to anything here in the WWE or will he always just be a B+ player?' [Leise "NO!"-Rufe] Yeah, how about this one? 'Should Daniel Bryan give up his opportunity to face me at Night of Champions for the WWE Title?' ["NO!"] YES!"

Triple H: "You know, Randy, as COO of the WWE I have a few different responsibilities. One of my biggest responsibilities is ensuring that the WWE puts out the best product each and every week. After all, it's what all of you deserve. You deserve to have the best. After all, the WWE Universe has the most passionate and intense fans in the world and you deserve the best. My other job is to ensure the health and well-being of all WWE Superstars and Divas. And lately in the last few weeks I've been beginning to worry about the health and welfare of one, Daniel Bryan. You see, Daniel's ego keeps getting him into situations like you saw a few moments ago. And that's a problem. And the thing is, all of you are not helping. Because what happens, I look around here as I did a few minutes ago and I see all of you standing up, throwing your arms in the air and chanting 'YES! YES! YES!' [Das Publikum steigt in die Chants mit ein.]

And that is a problem because you were causing Daniel Bryan to confuse popularity with what is best for business. And popularity has nothing to do with what is best for business. I'm gonna give you an example of that. Quite a few years ago, there was a WWE Superstar named Doink the Clown. But Doink the Clown was insanely popular, wildly popular, people loved Doink the Clown. [Zu einem Fan gerichtet] You loved Doink the Clown, right? They loved him. But there's a very big reason why Doink the Clown was never WWE champion. It's because it would have been bad for business. Now, here's the thing. Daniel Bryan will never be WWE champion. That's okay, I'm not saying he can't reach for that brass ring, I'm not saying he can't have a goal. I can bring back the Cruiserweight title. Or like the European title. He can compete for anyone of those at any time. That's a good little goal for Daniel Bryan--"

[Daniel Bryan betritt die Entrance Stage.]

Daniel Bryan: "Wow, you guys made a lot of really, really good points and I'm-- I am thrilled to be compared to Doink the Clown. ["Daniel Bryan! Daniel Bryan!"] But I'm not sure there was ever a loud 'Doink the Clown' chant in 1992. And quite honestly, the only clowns I see are the two standing in the ring right now. And-- and I understand you want me to give up my championship match and Hunter, with you that's-- that's completely understandable. The same way that you gave up being a man when you cut your hair, put on that suit and decided to be a corporate sell-out. And Randy, I understand why you'd want me to give up. In the same way that you just completely gave up being in the WWE title picture until somebody just decided to hand it to you. So let me see, 'should I give up my WWE championship match against Randy Orton at Night of Champions?' ["NO!"] I think the answer to this question is the same as the answer to the question 'is Randy Orton more masculine than Stephanie McMahon?' NO! NO! NO!" [Die Fans steigen mit "NO!"-Chants ein.]

Randy Orton: "How many times you gotta get punched in the face, triple-powerbombed or RKO'd before you realize, Daniel Bryan, that there's not a chance in hell that you can win this fight?"

Daniel Bryan: "See, Randy. This is-- this is the part that you don't understand because nobody'd ever told you that you can't do something, okay? I habe been told my entire career the things I can't do. I was told I can't do any better than wrestling in high school gyms and flea markets. I was told I can't get to the WWE and when I got here I was told I couldn't be a top guy because all I was was a good little hand. I was told I would never be world champion. And you know what? All those things that they told me I couldn't do, all those things made me the man I am today! It made me 'NO!', it made me 'NO, I CAN DO THINGS', I loved the fight, I love scraping and crawling and every horrible thing I had to do to get here! I loved all of it and you will never understand it because you were given everything!

So, do I think that I can beat you for the WWE championship? No, I KNOW I can beat you for the WWE championship! And Randy, deep down you know it too. And so do you, Hunter. Otherwise you wouldn't put me in gauntlet matches, you wouldn't have three men beat me down, you would just let me and Randy wrestle one-on-one. But you guys know, what everybody else here knows and that's this: Randy Orton may have the genetics of a champion, but Randy, you don't have the heart of a champion. And you may walk around here like you're a big dog, but you're nothing more than Triple H's little--"

Triple H: "Hold on, hold on a second. Before you get carried away there, angry little man. Why you so angry? You're all grumpy, little grumpy old troll. Let me tell you something, Daniel. Your anger is one thing, but it's misdirected. You shouldn't be angry at us, there is one guy you should be angry with other than yourself. One guy that happens to be seven foot tall and happens to be 500 pounds and he happens to stand by even though he has an iron clad contract. Each and every week he stands by with a tear running down his cheek while you get beaten and beaten and beaten. That is where your anger should be, Daniel Bryan! NOT with us, with the Big Show! So, I'm gonna let you take your anger out on the Big Show tonight, Daniel Bryan. Because in tonight's main event it will be Daniel Bryan one-on-one with the seven foot, 500 pound Big Show!"
