Stephanie McMahon: "Welcome to this historic edition of Monday Night Raw. It's time for everyone in this arena, everyone around the world, all of the superstars and divas standing on that stage, all of the superstars and divas from the past, the present and the future, anyone who will ever don a pair of tights and step into this ring to pay respect and honor to one man."

Triple H: "Last night we witnessed the dawning of a new era as WWE's rich history collided with its bright future and we unified the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships into one. Last night we crowned a champion of champions and that is why we all are here tonight to pay honor to that man. So let me introduce to you the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, ‘The Viper' Randy Orton!"

Randy Orton: "Isn't it a nice feeling when your faith is rewarded? [Buhrufe] But then again, you never had faith in me in the first place, did you? You didn't have faith that I was going to win the most important match in WWE history. You all bought into the lie that I've been handed everything my entire career but that is not true and last night I proved it when I'm handed an opportunity where an opportunity presents itself. However, I don't look for a handout. I TAKE IT, THAT's WHAT. And last night I proved it when I ascended that ladder in that very ring and took those two championships and turned them into one.

Last week in this very ring I stood here with twenty other men, former champions, hall of famers, legends and none of them as I looked around, none of them have accomplished what I have accomplished. And as I look up there to all of you, the entire locker room standing here beaming back your jealousy towards me, I can tell you where you stand is appropriate and where I stand is appropriate because it represents just how much better I am than all of you. I've got news for everyone. I'm the most powerful person standing in this ring, I am the champion of champions, I am the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and my reign will last—"

John Cena: "You're an idiot." [Jubel]

Randy Orton: "No, no, no, no, no, no, John Cena, turn his mic off! You will not ruin this moment for me, this is my moment!"

John Cena: "Randy, Randy. I'm not gonna ruin your moment. But often times you have trouble speaking so I give everybody the cliff notes of what you're gonna say. Face of the WWE, apex predator, viper, viper, viper, viper, handcuffs, which were creative by the way, greatest of all time in the history of greatness. How about does it? Doesn't it? [?] Excellent, you see I saved you the embarrassment of speaking and I saved these people twenty minutes at the same time. [Jubel] Or genially I wanna say Congratulations. Last night at TLC you were the better champion. You earned it, congratulation. But I wanna remind you of something. Stone Cold Steve Austin said about that championship. That championship forces you every night to put up or shut up. Woah, woah, the way I see it, you've talked enough so tonight either put up or shut up." [Jubel]

Randy Orton: "I see what you're trying to do. I see what you're trying to do but you not get your rematch tonight. Hunter, Hunter—"

John Cena: "Easy, easy, big fella. I wasn't talking about me. ["YES!"-Chants] You see, here's the thing. I really, I really do want to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Last week I told a single man in this ring if I did win I will give him a fair match. The reason I said that, Randy, is because the difference between you and me, I actually listen to the WWE Universe. [Jubel] So I wasn't talking about you facing me. I was talking about tonight you facing him" [Zeigt auf Daniel Bryan, was "YES!"-Chants mit sich bringt]

Randy Orton: "I don't care what these people think. Security! Get him outta here!"

John Cena: "You may not care what they think but you do care about that championship and you certainly care being the greatest of all time. And what a better way to prove your legacy than right here tonight. [Jubel] Randy Orton versus Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship! Oh wait, let me guess. You're scared."

Randy Orton: "No, no, no, no, John. I'm not scared. It's just I don't have to listen to you. I don't have to listen to Daniel Bryan. I don't have to listen to all these idiots siting in the stands. [Buhrufe] I don't have to listen to anybody, John Cena. Nobody!"

Stephanie McMahon: "Except us." [Jubel]

Randy Orton: "Listen, Stephanie, I'm trying not to lose my temper here. But he's way outta line. You and all people, you can not possibly think that giving Daniel Bryan a title shot against me here tonight could possibly best for business. Because it's not!"

Triple H: "You know, here's the thing, Randy. I—I agree with you. At this particular time Daniel Bryan does not deserve an opportunity, a title match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship."

Stephanie McMahon: "However, for reasons I can't completely understand, the WWE Universe did vote Daniel Bryan the ‘Superstar of the Year'."

Triple H: "And with that being said, one thing Steph and I always do is listen to the WWE Universe [Jubel] and if this is a match you would like to see... " ["YES!"-Chants]

Randy Orton: "Hunter, Hunter, I've been through a war. I was in a TLC match last night. C'mon you can't possibly expect me—"

Triple H: " ...then I can't think of a better way to kick off the champion of champion's new era than with a main event tonight like this. The chance for you to silence the critics who say that you can not beat this man. Tonight in this ring it will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton one-on-one with the ‘Superstar of the Year' Daniel Bryan."
