Gene Okerlund: "Thank you, Eric. With me, Lord Steven Regal. Most impressive, I must say, against this youngster, just barley twenty years old. But the one thing that the fans bring out to me is, as I travel around the country, Lord Steven Regal, is the way you feel about americans. Apparently, you have some adverse feelings towards us."
Lord Steven Regal: "Listen to me, you miserable little toad. You telling me how to act my life is like Quasimodo telling somebody else how to bloody walk straight. Now I have your attention. It's Memorial Day. My father will be so pleased I beat junior Adolf there. We have got a world champion here in WCW that's a bloody escapee from Barnum & Bailey's. We got bloody Savage running around thinking he's some kind of hard man. If you didn't notice, two weeks ago I put the toughest man in wrestling out of the bloody game. Then, we've got somebody from another wrestling organisation wanting to take a war. Don't forget, who's in within, sunshine. Because I'm going nowhere and it's time I had my bloody say in what goes on around here."
Okerlund: "You know I should point out just for the record, the affections that these fans have for you. I couldn't help but notice the one youngster giving you half a peace sign. I don't think they think that highly of your personality. Your wrestling skills not withstanding."
Regal: "When you are a significant grappler as myself, you are not bothered by such meager presence and that means you, sunshine.[richtete sich an den Fan] Now, to prove myself, I am going to make a statement, a challenge if you wish, to the man they call the Franchise. If I beat this man, and you Mr. Sting, I hope you're listening, I will then beheld within some esteem here and maybe get a shot at this bloody circus freak that we have as a champion. I want that painted face bloody clown. Right in this ring as soon as possible."
- Regal besiegte kurz vor diesem In-Ring-Interview den deutschen Alex Wright.
