"You spit on the United States of America"
Kurt Angle: "Mr. Anderson, there are a few things I wanna say to you. I'm man enough to admit when I get beat. And this past sunday at Against All Odds you beat me. The way you did is a different story. But nonetheless you beat me.
But that's not what pissed me off. You see, what pissed me off is what you did with this. [Er zeigt die Erkennungsmarke der US-Army.] Does anybody know what this is? This is a tag. In the military they're a little bit smaller. They put the soldiers name's on them, so in case they die in battle their commanders can ID them and send them home to their loved ones.
Now let me tell you why this means so much to me. You see, I've had a real difficult year and a half. [Angle kämpft mit den Tränen.] I've went to a hard divorce. I ashamed my kids by getting arrested in false accusation of things I didn't do. But nonetheless I was arrested and I... ['Angle!'] Thank you! Thank you! I needed that.
Uhm, I sat in that jail cell and I didn't know why it was happening to me. And I got on my knees and prayed to god and I asked him why this was happening. And, I stayed in there a while and finally when I posted the bell I had an appearence down in Fort Hood, Texas at an army base. And I met some amazing people down there. It changed my life. I met soldiers. I met family members of soldiers, family members of soldiers who died in battle. And I had one soldier come up to me and he said: 'Kurt, I saw you on the news. I read about you on the internet. I read about you on the paper and I believe in you!' [Beifall vom Publikum] And he said: 'I wanna give you this [Er zeigt die Marke.] to remind you of who you are.' And there's an inscription on here, I wanna read it to all of you: 'It's called warrior. Out ot every hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there. Eight are just targets and nine are the real fighters. And we are lucky to have all of them for they make the battle. But the one — one is a warrior and he will bring the others back.' [Das Publikum gibt erneut Beifall.] ['USA!']
Now, Mr. Anderson when you cut me with this last sunday night, you didn't make me bleed. You made their soldiers bleed. Soldiers that did battle. Soldiers that died in battle. Family members of soldiers that died in battle. You made citizens of the greatest country in the world that believe in this country bleed. And to make matters worse, when the match was over and your hand was raised high you could've walked away the winner. But you came back and you dropped this on my chest and you spit on it. Mr. Anderson, you didn't spit on me. You spit on those soldiers. And you spit on the United States of America. And for that Ken, I'm gonna make you suffer. I'm gonna make you bleed until every last drop is out of your body! When you go down that road with Kurt Angle, there is no coming back. Ken Anderson, I'll see you in hell!"
"I'm very touched. And, and very moved, Kurt. And I'm very amazed at your abilities, Kurt. Not only in that wrestling ring but your abilities to suck up to each and every one of these people. [Buhrufe] You just wanna a little pat on the back: 'Ooooh look how sensitive I am. Look how caring I am.' You know, I see that little hunk of garbage around your neck as nothing more than a utensil to carve you up, man. And that's what I did! I made you bleed. I made YOU bleed. You know, sometimes I like to make people bleed. I don't know, I mean — You know, if you got a problem with that then uh — I mean, if you think you're some kind of peacock then why you come on up this way. And get you sooome! Come on, man! Come get you some. [Angle steigt aus dem Ring und läuft Anderson entgegen.] Yeah, yeah that's it. That's it. Come on! Come on, daddy! Just a little bit closer now, just al little bit closer. Just a...
Welcome Kurt to Total Nonstop Anderson... [laute Buhrufe] AAANDERSOOON!"
