[7.0] "I actually have a bit of a soft spot for this promo. At the time, I was really enjoying RKBro and their title run, and in this promo, Randy seemed to be genuinely having a blast. You can tell he was having so much fun teaming with Riddle. It's a shame this team was cut short because of Randy's injury and Riddle's release."

[9.0] "This promo was FIRE! The best I've seen from WWE in a very long time. CM Punk is great as always. Drew McIntyre is great, and he's the one who surprised me the most by being able to compete with Punk and respond quickly, clearly and confidently. These two are the gold of this segment and I don't understand why promos for two people who hate each other couldn't be like that more often? Unfortunately, Seth turns out to be the weakest element and shows the contrast of why this promo stands out so much from all the others in WWE, with long pauses and the theatrical "let him finish and wait for the audience reaction" rather than "they hate each other and argue, like for real! ". Because of the Seth part, I can't give this segment a perfect rating, but if there was more of this, I'd forgive WWE a lot more stupidity than I can do now."

[10.0] "Mick Foley without question is one of the best storytellers in the history of the business. This plays out more like a documentary style similar to the ones with Goldust in the last few weeks where Jim Ross interviews Foley about his childhood. Foley is brilliant because while he continues to stay completely in character whilst doing the interview, but he still comes across in a very sympathetic way similar to his promo before the Austin match a month back. Using his theme music in a softer sad tone in the background was a nice touch."

[10.0] "Perfect promo, felt so natural, felt so real, nobody looked bad here. It adds so much interest to their match at Wrestlemania. Drew looked like a maniacal badass just happy to see Punk still injured. Punk's bars were so smart, especially the Vince one. Seth actually did not look like a clown for once, serious workhorse Seth is the best Seth. Just great stuff in front of a hot crowd."

[10.0] "One of the best promos we've seen in WWE for a long time. The three wrestlers managed to give us something very entertaining and that revives that Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre fight that went to the background. Good job by all three."

[10.0] "This was genuinely one of the most fun/entertaining segments I haver watched in my whole lifetime! All three did pretty good here, and you can tell they had the freedom they wanted. Drew's line about Punk spending most of his time on rehabd in spite of being a straight edge was just pure gold, my man is a professional hater. Also, Punk trying to make McIntyre say Vince's name broke me and I still laugh whenever I think about it. Good shit right here."

[10.0] "Honest to god, this is the segment of the year. Three men who absolutely hate each other shine the brightest. Drew cooking Punk, Punk cooking Drew, Rollins superkicking Drew in the end, and the shades thrown by Punk towards The Rock and Vince( I absolutely popped when he sarcastically called him a "paragon of virtue") was a legendary sight to behold."

[6.0] "the first part is great, triple h trolling people always gets a kick out of me and it seems like it got some people mad, however the second part of this promo is meh imo, feels like a typical mid 2010s wwe promo, which i'm not the biggest fan of as i remember things were too generic for my taste"

[6.0] "Generical Rock random appearance promo. The same thing you find in his segment with Jinder Mahal or the one with Becky Lynch and Baron Corbin. It's entertaining because the man has unmatched charisma and knows how to make silly and stupid promos work, but there wasn't any real effort to make this a great promo, just having some easy and basic fun. Austin Theory played his role quite well, which was overly generic as well, but he did good and then he tried to use this as a way to put himself over as a heel."

[10.0] "Best segment I've seen since Sami Zayn's trial. Drew McIntyre's game is on fire right now, Punk mic skills are unmatched and Seth Rollins coming out was just the icing in the cake. A lot of fun an great moments here (Punk shutting Rollins up when he told him he couldn't referee at WrestleMania by doing a 3 count, McIntyre calling fans perverts for trying to look under his kilt, all three men showing their hatred towards each other). If I ever saw a potential perfect Triple Threat, this must be that. So much fun with this one."

[10.0] "I think what I love about this promo so much is that it really makes you sympathize with Cactus Jack even though he is the heel in this feud. He's anti-hardcore because of the trauma he has experienced. He feels responsible for the hardcore craze, and he hates what it has become and what it has done to people he cares about. He's so traumatized and focused on the picture of trying to control things, trying to fix things, trying to right the wrongs of everything he has been involved of, that while he thinks he sees the big picture, that isn't really the case. I think why I love this promo and in a way relate to it hard is my own experience of mental health and trauma, and the times where I fell into the same sort of panic and fear and disassociation from everything. This promo is so real, and it hurts. It's one of the best period."

[10.0] "One of the very best promos in quite some time and you can see and sense the hatred these men had of each other, this is the result of a very well thought out dialogue, which captivates the attention of the viewer! Really satified with the result and for the World Heavyweight Championship finally having some spotlight in this Road to Wrestlemania, was really pumped and entertained every single second."

[9.0] "This was a chaotic promo between three individuals who do not like each other. They ended up talking over each other continuously which added to the authenticity. Drew McIntyre seems distracted by Punk heading into Wrestlemania just like Rollins is distracted by the Bloodline."

[] "Raw Emotion. Two men talking, without constant, "WHAT" or any run ins. just two guys whose paths have crossed again. It will be fascinating to see if Punk and Cody will do any kind of series post Mania, as Punk is clearly gonna feud with either Rollins, or more likely McIntyre. Anyway, THE EMOTION. Tony Kahn is probably having a Herb Abrams moment right now, wondering how the hell he let these two get away."

[] "I loved it. Here are some highlights and some commentaries on my favorite parts. "Pat McAfee, Pat McAfee... Got yourself a little program, I understand. I apologize, I'm not a daily listener. I listen to the Experience and the Drive Thru." WELL WOULDNT YOU KNOW WHO WON THE PONY! "Somebody who hasn't talked about me, hasn't said a word, The Rock. And I'd like to think that's because ten years ago he remembers coming face-to-face with the Second City Saint and realizing that his arms were just too short to box with God." What a great reminder of that banger line. "I haven't said a word. I've been tight-lipped, that's because I don't perpetually terminally live on the internet, I handle my business live and in living color." LIKE MUSSOLINI! "Turn off this stupid song. Turn the stupid song off, nobody wants to listen to that." If I had one criticism, I would have saved that for Fran Drescher/Waluigi. "Internet troll in a skirt" That sounds like 50% of AEW marks. "This is 2024, you wanna get canceled for talk like that? " Hold on is that a hidden reference to Punk when he had a Dale Earnhardt mustache telling a fan he had "a vagina" and that he was "a homo"? "Drew McIntyre, I ain't never had to put another man's name on a t-shirt to sell it." Guess he forgot about "I'm a Paul Heyman Guy" But I digress... (TAZZ! ) "Struggled to get out of that thing with my biceps, something you've probably never had an issue with! " OWWW "You never drink, you never do drugs, yet you spend all your time in rehab." DOUBLE OWWWWW "Man, just boo this man... yeah. You tell him who you paid to see." Punk may be the only man to get away with saying that. "You're my muse, man! " Well, Punk certainly has more than a fair bit of art on his body. "I can't hear what you're saying." Shades of Stone Cold and Farrooq. "I would love to get in that ring, but I know what the people of Chicago are like. You probably have a weapon in there and you'll try 'n' take me out before WrestleMania." I mean... is he wrong? Drew sits pipebomb style and Punk quotes one LA Knight: "Yeah." Surprised the crowd didn't do it with him. "Do not shoot up my kilt, you perv! " THAT SOUNDED LIKE PIPER! "Chosen One? Who chose you? Who? What was his name? Huh? " I can't type emojis, otherwise I would put the big eyes shocked one. Punk rolls his eyes in the greatest explanation to Fran Drescher/Waluigi entering doing a weird jig learned from her husband Becky Lynch. Seth Rollins: "Chicago Welcome to Monday Night [Crowd responds with 'Rollins! '] And now that we've firmly established who's show this is, who's show this has been, and who's show this is going to be, if you two children haaaa." Oy vey that's shit. I'm sick of Fran/Waluigi, "Just let it happen, brother. Just let it happen. It could be your show, it's my city." In other news The Nanny was cancelled thirtyish years ago. "PG, brother! " I thought it was back to 14... "You wanna know what I think, Punk? " Nope. "Nope." THATS WHAT I SAID! Drescher/Waluigi does his typical "wah wah Hah hah" monologue which almost ruined it, "All the 'coalminers'" Never thought I'd like that reference. "The lifts in your boots, the shoe polish in your beard, your skirt, all the pyro in the world and that stupid sword you came out to the ring with." Great roast. "Your bell bottoms, your Championship, your wife". I heard Becky pegs Seth. And Punk just double Pegged him. Anyway I loved it. 9.5/10 Drescher brought it down. I get that he's a great wrestler, but I groan anytime he comes out. and he's apparently a babyface."

[10.0] "Watching Twitter and the greater IWC get hung up on the half-a-second Jim Cornette reference is funny as hell, because this promo more than reignited the World Heavyweight Championship match. I said a few weeks ago that I felt the match was being overshadowed by Cody, the Rock, and the Tag Team main event on Night 1, and that Seth saying Drew wasnt even on his mind sort of devalued both the title and the match. This promo made both feel extremely important once again. These three flowed together perfectly. Nothing about this felt scripted at all (although it probably was). They riffed off one another with barbs, references, and by the end of it all, the three of them came out looking like absolute kings. Great stuff on a fantastic episode of Raw!"

[10.0] "Great talking segment. Punk kicks things off with a lively, entertaining promo about how he's doing and airing his grievances with people. Drew being the ultimate Punk hater came out to interrupt and the two had some funny banter, both got in good zingers and here they felt evenly matched. Punk trying to get Drew to say Vince McMahon was probably the best moment. Drew suggested Punk be the special guest commentator for his title match against Rollins and get a close up view of him becoming the new champion. Rollins interrupts them and dances his way to the ring. Having the champion out there to draw the ire of his challenger and another future opponent made a lot sense. The moment where the crowd wants Punk to be the special guest referee and he gets down to count to three with his left arm was so good. Punk ultimately accepted the commentator gig, adding another interesting dimension to the title match with him being right there if he chooses to get involved. The last part with Drew trying to get in the last word before Rollins lays him out and stomps him was a nice way to end things, what with Drew being the heel here, it was appropriate. Everything here made sense as the build to WrestleMania and even future matches beyond that gets a big boost here. And if you're upset over a Jim Cornette reference, please grow up. 10/10"

[10.0] "[4.75/5.00]: Part of the detail that makes this really good is McIntyre losing focus on what's important and focusing on something arbitrary (CM Punk) that doesn't matter to him - the same contrast he set on Seth regarding The Bloodline and is what ultimately made him taking his guard down. McIntyre plays the unaware insecure man so effortlessly that it almost fits him, adding to this was Punk's best promo since returning barring from the also fantastic exchange with Cody prior to the Royal Rumble. Peak wrestling this."

[9.0] "This promo had so much energy and heat. In the beginning Punk tried a little bit too hard, but after Drew came in, it was a ruthless, hateful battle of words with some of the most precise shots we've seen this year. Punk is one of the best talkers, but so often doesn't know when to finally take the loss in a promo. But this is one of the few times where that mentality of both talkers kept fueling the fire in between them. "Punk, you complete me! " are the truest words in this promo. With Seth's entrance, the adrenaline was at its peak, but it went rather "downhill". They completely failed to sell Punk as a special guest ref-...commentator and I don't understand what they were thinking, but for the most part it was still one of my favorite segments this year (and there have been many I loved so far)."

[7.0] "Out of everything that I've watched coming out of CM Punk's second tenure in the WWE, this has been probably the best from an individual level. In a promotion full of fakeness, he actually feels like a real human being for the most part, which really brings out other acts (i.e. McIntyre). I felt this segment (as most things) got worse with the inclusion of Rollins. I think the constructive feedback from the other inmates is something I agree with in regards to the Cornette line, but it really isn't a shock given Punk. Punk may be the one of the greatest liars ever, saying the "terminally online" line, I thought that was funny."

[10.0] "This was amazing, I had A blast watching this promo. The Vince reference was admittedly funny, the Cornette reference was eh but it is what it is. Drew and Punk did amazing and then Seth coming in made it better. Overall A really good and really fun promo."

[9.0] "See Punk is a great talker, but if it was just him talking I'd rate this much lower. Nothing against him, it just would've been a meh promo if he showed up, said "Rah Rah Chicago" and dipped, but McIntyre and Rollins coming out and doing their thing, which lately has been the best promo work of McIntyre's career and Rollins' best since...maybe also his best promo work ever as well, honestly saved this promo and made it as good as it is. This sells the idea that these 3 genuinely hate each other, and now I'm not against the idea of a triple threat for the title at Summerslam if Punk heals up, or later if the time still works. The only downside is Cornette getting any recognition, and I can easily look past it, although I know why others don't as much."

[3.0] "Well, I was mistaken when I said, after the mic battle with Cody just before the Rumble, that Punk had finally found his footing again as a promo god, because tonight, he reverted to the mean of promos he's been cutting since his return to WWE. While nothing can be as bad as that simpering "I'm home" promo he cut after Survivor Series, tonight is yet another outing showing that Punk is almost as washed on the mic as he is in the ring. Maybe he never intended to return after he walked out on WWE ten years ago, and the evolution of mic skills across the industry has meant Phil has been left behind, but yeah, this was another miss from Punk, and the misses are seriously outnumbering the hits now. I don't know why Punk - as a face-by-default in his home town, no less - thought it was a good idea to give the cancerous tumour of the IWC that is Jim Cornette free publicity, and I don't know why Punk thought it was a good idea to join in on the "let's all make homophobic/transphobic jokes about Seth Rollins" running joke that is burying one of WWE's most loyal soldiers, but the fact is that he did. I think that if you showed the Punk of five years ago Monday Night Raw, he would be absolutely sickened by how low his narcissism has made him stoop. To their credit, Drew and Seth tried their best to salvage this promo - and let's be honest, Drew's current gimmick of Hater of the Year is absolutely magnificent - but there's only so much polish you can put on a turd. Punk in 2024 really is a microcosm of WWE in 2024 in a nutshell, because whilst everyone is lauding it for being "cinema", I just don't get it."

[10.0] "One of the best promos on recent and wwe as a whole. Full of references, epic moments and absolute perfect body language, every part landed perfectly, everything builded so well, it was not an empty promo, it helped to build their mania match, while punk shows that his mic hability is absolutely intact, literally every second of this was promo perfection, the crowd was amazing too, so there isn't a single bad thing to say about this promo, they could go for hours and hours and it would still be a 10"

[10.0] "Before I get started, there's a mistake in the notes (stan is a combo of stalker and fan). Anyways, this promo was amazing, I loved every second of it (besides the Cornette shout out and the "skirt' line), you can really feel the animosity between Drew McIntyre, CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Loved that both were throwing as many shots at each other as much as they can. Also, Punk doing the ref count was really funny, McIntyre referencing Stan (great song) word-for-word with "Phil" replacing "Stan, " CM Punk referencing McMahon as a dig at McIntyre was beyond lethal, also mentioning AJ Lee when discussing "his mouth works" really threw me off that he went there (if you know, you know), I could seriously go on. I could go into the reaction of this promo that focused on the two cringe parts, but I don't want to get off topic (despite I REALLY want to say something about it), this is segment of the year so far and I really look forward to McIntyre vs Rollins. If this show was the go home show to WrestleMania, I would have been satisfied. THIS is how you build up a match, folks!"

[10.0] "Hands down one of the funniest segments in wrestling history. Still as funny as the first time I watched it. It's irreverent, uncompromising and perfect for DX during those days. I know some people will claim that this particular segment aged like milk, I totally disagree. It's refreshing to see something like this in an era, like nowadays, where wrestling is completely limited in all aspects. Laughs are a total guarantee. None of the following DX segments impersonating their rivals were as good as this one. Like many people have claimed, Jason Sensation was indeed the highlight with his Owen Hart impersonation, but the rest of the wrestlers did great too. You rarely hear Jim Ross having so much fun like in this segment. Even to this day I laugh whenever I watch this."

[7.0] "I have mixed feelings on this promo: while Punk's delivery is excellent as always and the crowd is hot, there is also some bad stuff. Him calling out Hangman Page who was not in the building just to get his revenge for something that Page said in a promo months before was very unprofessional. And also, the part about broken bones was extremely odd. Not sure what Punk was going for there. However the "tell me when I'm telling lies" part where he completely destroys Moxley and his friends was awesome and saved the promo."

[9.0] "I'm so nostalgic from that period . The Tribal Chief has become flanderized in recent months so it's refreshing to see him at his most refined and subtile . He felt like Thanos , Pablo Escobar all in one a terrifying , charismatic mob boss who would gaslight manipulate his family into obeisance . When people are gonna remember the Bloodline they will mostly remember the second part of Roman's run with Sami and The Bloodline Civil War but the first part was exceptional too . Fall in Line and Acknowledge Your Tribal Chief ."

[9.0] "Excellent segment by the rock, he was reading off his paper and it had some pretty good insults, pretty funny too. The part that stands out is the end, when the fun and games are over, and he speaks directly to Cody's mom. Some great stuff, just wished the fat was trimmed."

[2.0] "Out of context, the whole "me and my friend mark" bit is funny... Then I'm reminded of the rest of the promo and I erased it from memory. Another overly long, self-indulgent Authority promo that we got to watch every week. Starts out condescending where Triple H puts any critics down as "marks, " then becomes your typical multiple-people-interrupting-that-leads-to-a-match type promo. Moving on!"

[2.0] "Le epic own line from 'The Game.' He fuckin' got them there! That's why he's the all-time greatest heel, I say, as I continue to devour the boot. It's funny, I legitimately had no idea that there were other people in this promo while I was watching this. It shows how truly insipid the WWE's booking was, 'uhhhhh, we have no ideas! Just interrupt the promo like three more times! ' The soundbite itself will live on forever. I can't possibly imagine what it felt to watch this at the time while popular acts kept getting the shaft over, and over again. Way to go, Noseman! Perhaps the most comical part of all of this is that Triple Nariz effectively led the biggest internet-centered promotion of all-time (at the time on a major level) with NXT."

[10.0] "This is possibly the best wrestling promo of all time, mostly in an ironic sense because this is building to nothing. Scott is stumbling over a shit ton of words but the insanity that was unhinged here perfectly summarized what kind of unique performer Scott Steiner was. Scott's rage was real and felt through the screen, what a treat this promo was. Please use this to show what kind of man Scott Steiner is instead of Steiner Math."

[2.0] "During a low point in WWE history creatively, this is a promo that was seen as a "burn" to WWE's online critics when really it just showed they were not willing to listen to criticism of the product, and would instead spend their TV time mocking those critics. This is a perfect example of how WWE was stubborn to listen to what the fans wanted which is a baffling philosophy and why other wrestling promotions were needed in the industry. The rest of this promo is so plain and uninspired that I don't think anyone could possibly remember it."
19124.03.2024
16:35
[7.0] "Some mixed feelings with this promo, but the overall product was pretty fine. I didn't like the worked shoot in here, as I find it too overused this days to get an easy reaction. The segment was too slow at times and got me bored because of it. On the other hand, I loved seeing a more determinant and angry Cody than usual, going straight to the point and not making his promo too flamboyant, and the business deal with Paul E. was a nice touch, as I like that mob flow the Bloodline has."

[0.0] "And the award for "most masturbatory promo with a lack of self-awareness" goes to Triple H! This promo was a fucking disaster in all respects, much like most of the Authority storyline which just wouldn't fucking die. It's the sort of shit they could only get away in 2014 once Bischoff and Hogan had dragged TNA so far down as to put the former challenger on life support, leaving WWE without a semblance of true competition for nearly half a decade, and dear god, the quality of the booking and the product overall showed, and even a rise in the quality of wrestling couldn't reverse the tide. Here's a fun fact about this promo: this episode got 4.4 million viewers. Since then, only two episodes of Raw have beaten that: the Raw after WrestleMania 31, and Raw's 25th Anniversary. Even with the slow death of cable TV, Raw is now lucky to get a third of that audience in the run-up to WrestleMania. Insulting your own fans never goes well, and as it turns out, Mark did stop watching after all."

[8.0] "Take out the forced concert promo and this is an absolute banger of a promo. I don't remember seeing The Rock this cold ever, not even when he feuded Austin. He went as far as a personal jab could go and he went straight to call out Cody's mom and tell her "You're welcome" for beating the bloody crap out of his son with a belt. They way he spoke, man, that was savage. This is the promo that truly defines his gimmick now. This is not Hollywood Rock, this was never about the return of Hollywood Rock, this is a reinvention of The Rock. He is now at the TKO board of directors, he is now the Final Boss of WWE and he does whatever he wants."

[2.0] "This was a standard "heel authority figure expresses displeasure" promo with various other wrestlers saying they deserve a world title shot. Nothing special in that regard. This is only notable thing about this is the part about Triple H indirectly telling people to stop watching if they don't like what's going on. Obviously meant as a jab toward the online fans who tend to be more critical, it's now an ironic punchline for the decline in WWE's ratings in the decade before and the decade since then as it was the casual fans who left in droves. This promo wasn't the cause of that, but it was a symptom of what was wrong. A really stupid line in an otherwise forgettable talking segment. 2/10"

[2.0] "Unfortunately, this review may come off as tribalist slightly, but stuff like this is exactly the reason for which why AEW was created. WWE were becoming too safe in their position as the only wrestling company on the planet that really had any casual fans. The alternative was needed so that WWE could improve and stop with this viewpoint that they could do anything because they had that position where the only other wrestling you could really watch was based in Japan and catered to an entirely different audience. It does not help either that people did stop watching until WWE improved."

Long promos at the start of the show by the Authority through this storyline was pretty tiresome, but this was a noticeable exception. Then it's just your run of the mill, superstars getting involved and setting up a match type of work. Love Hunter here."

[9.0] "Great segment by The Rock. His return for WrestleMania as everyone knows started out horribly, but once he became a heel and fully embraced that role, he's been killing it with his promos. You could argue he's overshadowed Roman vs Cody, but that just speaks to his star power and how great he's been. The opening part with Rock talking about his history with Memphis wrestling was nice, you could tell it meant a lot for him to be back there. The concert was funny and had some good lines. But once Rock got serious after that, he really showed why he's one of the best talkers of all time. Mocking Cody for crying when he was talking about handing the championship belt to his mom is such an asshole move. Rock describing in detail how he's going to beat Cody bloody with his belt and hand it to Mama Rhodes was downright sinister. 9/10"

[7.0] "In contrast to the prior Rock Concerts, I found the actual concert itself leaving a bit more to be desired. I liked it when it was mainly Dwayne playing, but nonetheless, he's so entertaining that he's able to make it all work pretty well. Out of what I've watched, The Rock has been the biggest highlight in everything. He's such an asshole, really seen with his continuous 'I love you too! ' gestures, which I'm pretty sure the last few times were faked lol. Obviously, nothing beats Sacramento, but considering The Rock sounds like he'd start wheezing if he ran more than 15 seconds, this was pretty good."

[7.0] "We saw Cody's intensity in this promo. He replied to the Rock and tip toed the line between reality and kayfabe. However some of it seemed forced. He was then interrupted by Heyman to set up this week's promo battle on Smackdown with Roman, which part was a bit stretched out."

[9.0] "Im not sure this was as good as The Rock concert in Sacramento but this was great stuff. The concert part was fun and all, but the best part about the whole promo was Rock tearing into Cody and his mom at the end of this promo. He came off as such an asshole during that, Rock is truly a one of a kind talent when it comes to promos"

[9.0] "Danielson proves once again how much he is underrated as a talker with this incredible promo after his first match in the C2 against Eddie Kingston. I loved the visual of him mediateting at the beginning and the promo right afterwards he delivered was absolutely incredible: he talks how Eddie Kingston is just setting himself up for defeat with his "Humble in victory, humble in defeat" mentality while he, despite having two fractured orbital bones and a broken arm, won't be defeat because he is tough both physically and mentally. Perfect delivery, super intense: just a top notch promo."

[10.0] "This was a hilarious promo then it got serious, this build to WrestleMania XL feels more of Cody & Rock, and Roman Reigns being on the outside of it. The Final Boss is ready to take everything away from Cody Rhodes."

[10.0] "Pure hatred. I want to say this is probably Eddie Kingston's most known CHIKARA promo? I see this referenced the most out of his body of work online, aside from his AEW run. This feels like the spiritual predecessor to his promo 'I drink to drown my demons, ' a lot of the same emotional beats are hit here. But rather than an emotional babyface overcoming his demons, this is a desperate heel trying to get his belt, Her, back. Eddie juxtaposed in the CHIKARA world is always kind of funny to me, especially after this promo a really nerdy Bryce Remsberg recapping the feud leading up to the Season Finale."

[10.0] "Incredible promo. I can take or leave the concert at this point, but the promo he cut on Mama Rhodes was some of the best TV WWE has produced in a while and actively added to the build of the match. Rock is setting the stage, telling the crowd what's going to happen, so when he does pull out the belt, it will get a bigger reaction than it already would have. He's telling you what's going to happen before it does. I enjoy Rock getting his shit off, but where he really shined was setting the stage for the mania match, adding tension. He's still one of the best promo guys ever, adding to the magnitude of a match, better than anyone in the States currently can."

[9.0] "[4.25/5.00]: There have been a handful of wrestlers who have stood toe-to-toe to The Rock and still come out as the bigger man, Cody Rhodes, who absolutely had no right to verbally render the way he did, is one of them who blends in kayfabe with a backstage politics to an extent that doesn't feel phony but adds to his charisma of being right. Bunch of great lines, while staying true to his character in achieving to his goal, loved the Homelander line as well."

It's no secret these two hated each other backstage and the way they used it to express themselves was something very unique and authentic to watch. Shawn pulls no punches here whatsoever and it just makes for awesome TV regardless of your opinion of either of them was!"

Keeping in mind he'd done one of his most evil acts the previous week where he burned The Undertaker, he does an incredible job making Mankind look like one of the most sympathetic characters on the roster. Foley was GOAT tier when it came to character work."

[8.0] "It was a good promo, Cody had some pretty good lines here, but a lot of it seemed forced considering last week he was crying about giving the title to his mother, and here he's just angry. Angry Cody is better than crybaby Cody any day."

[5.0] "The fans are so enamored with Cody he could make fart noises for 15 minutes and it'd still get insane reactions. To me, the content feels akin to some of the Stone Cold promos in 1998 when he started to get more flanderized. There's semblance of a good promo in here, but the clear attempts to try to insert reality into this angle via this way comes across as inauthentic. The Rock's twitter promos feel more authentic than this, maybe it's because he doesn't have to deal with the parameters of live tv, but the core ethos of his promos aren't 'little dick syndrome' either. Cody's at his best when keeping continuity with the past of the industry, and he misses the mark here."

[8.0] "Another good promo from wrestlers who cut a lot of good promos in 2024. Now these 3 people are in the same ring and they are cutting promos very well considering the opportunities they have in the future and Drew's presence in the chamber. I give this promo 8 points."

[10.0] "This was an amazing Bret Hart promo as he completely snaps after losing his title opportunity in the cage match. He's whining, yet he is completely justified by it. There's just so much energy to his promo, it's very entertaining and it's a great way to set him up as a heel going forward. It wouldn't be RAW is WAR if the show didn't end with Bret, Austin, Sid and Undertaker rioting with Shawn Michaels entering the fray."
22320.03.2024
03:36
[7.0] "Thought this was a good promo. Cody Rhodes took some shots at Rock in response to the Rock's concert on Friday. Heyman interrupting and challenging Rhodes to come to Smackdown alone to go face to face with Roman. I found the Homelander reference fun since I am a fan of the Boys."
22420.03.2024
02:47
[8.0] "After so much time of playing a clean cut, pure white meat babyface who is incapable of negativity it is very refreshing to see Cody get some edge in his promos. The black suit helps complete the look and ties it together with the Homelander reference."

02:43
[4.0] ""Wow, he said the D-word, so brave..." Cody's promo was shallow, like "No, you! " type of response to The Rock's, only now he was allowed to say a few swear words (thanks to The Rock, btw), which in and of themselves didn't make the promo any better. They even brought in Paul Heyman to keep viewers from dying of boredom. A massive waste of time."

[7.0] "This debut promo was solid. Yes, it was unsurprising and generic. No, I don't think I'll ever stop associating Symphony No. 9 (Dvorák) with Walter. But it was an authentic introduction of Mercedes Mone and a feel-good moment. It could've been more, but depending on what kind of plans they have, maybe this was enough."

[8.0] "Adam used this promo to set up a I quit match with his former best friend and now rival Christian. The "jay's dead" line was great. He also referenced his iconic promo with Mick around 15 years and introduced a new weapon which he would probably use in next week's match."

This was a very cookie cutter promo from Banks/Mone. 3 might feel harsh, but given the situation (her being barely post-debut) I'd have expected a much stronger showing here. I realise this next point is a bit "old man shouts at clouds" but when did she become the industry's default "Eddie Guerrero pop" promo?"

[6.0] "As far an introduction promo goes, this was kind of underwhelming. It absolutely pales in comparison to Punk's first promo in AEW back in 2021. In this promo Mercedes really doesn't say anything, she thanks the fans for supporting her throughout her carrer and talked about her dreams that led her to accomplish great things. Really bland and generic stuff with a random shoutout to Eddie Guerrero as well. Maybe it was her first promo and she was emotional but, on a second watch, this was mid. Not bad, just mid. Hadn't been for the crowd, it would've been way worse."

[5.0] "Welp, this was as average as it could have got. I'm not a fan of Mercedes Mone (I'm more neutral towards her), but I usually though she was decent at promos. This promo however just didn't deliver excitement besides that entrance which got a massive pop (of course it did, it's Boston, Mercedes' hometown). Of course there were some cheap pop lines put in the promo, I'm guessing because even Mercedes knew it wasn't going to get much of a reaction. This promo wasn't really too good, but not the worst promo a debuting wrestler has made in AEW, it was just average for the most part. It's going to be interesting to see how Mercedes does in AEW, considering she's coming off a massive knee injury that could potentially have destroyed her mobility, who knows how it will go, only time will tell."

[7.0] "Copeland has never really resonated with me much as a promo, but he's also been a bit of a blindspot for everything I've watched in pro wrestling. So, that alone tempers my expectations for a blood feud between him and long-time partner Christian. I think the shoutouts to Abyss and Mick Foley were pretty cool and well done, but introducing his own foreign object feels a bit... tacky? The real meat on the bone here for me was unveiling a 40 year history, and I get the logic for why Copeland brings it up, due to Foley & Abyss's history working these types of matches."

[4.0] "Promos have always been the biggest weakness for Mercedes, and this was no exception. Very boilerplate, nothing you haven't heard before and at times didn't feel genuine. The entrance was good and she came out looking like a star, though it could have been better if her theme song wasn't awful, so to follow that up with a generic promo where she says nothing interesting was disappointing. You got the obligatory Eddie Guerrero reference, some backstory into how she always wanted to be a wrestler (which was the best part of the promo), an odd reason for why she signed with AEW (What revolution is she talking about? How is AEW the only place it can happen? ), and capped everything off by calling out a midcarder who she had a previous match with that very few people saw or even know what she's talking about. Meh. This wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't good. 4/10"

[5.0] "A good entrance with an incredibly bland and generic promo. Her reason for joining AEW was pretty pointless. Expected more out of Mone especially since the entire episode was hyped around her debut without announcing the same, in a manner similar to Punk's."

[7.0] "What a blast it was to watch Mercedes Moné debuting in AEW, really special moment, this is very similar to what they did in Rampage First Dance, a special show and an opening promo, the same structure. The content of the promo was very basic, nothing added very much to her character or made a huge impact, but the moment pays off, and I liked the way it was. Good starting point."
24118.03.2024
07:31
[8.0] "It was a very sentimental arrival for Monet, her promo was filled with passion and heartfelt emotions and people at the arena truly went along really well with her debut and promo. So far she has come up with good anticipation and her run in with Riho and Willow seemed fine for starters."
24218.03.2024
03:59
[7.0] "A good introduction for Mercedes Mone, aided by a thunderous crowd reaction. In terms of content, the promo was somewhat similar to Punk's 2021 AEW debut promo where the goal was essentially just to announce the arrival of that particular wrestler. Mone carried herself well and came off looking like a star. If you're a new fan and never saw her previous work as Sasha Banks, I think this promo would be enough to sell you on her."

00:57
[4.0] "This was ok but it was fairly generic. Entrance was really good but the promo itself was bland. It didn't actually accomplish anything. And her reasoning for being in aew was just fluffy nothings that didn't set her up for anything. This didn't necessarily need to be anything more, but honestly after that entrance it was skippable."

[10.0] "Can we just state the fact that "Austin 3:16" was completely unscripted, and one of the luckiest things to happen for both Steve Austin and WWE? That alone makes it one of the most important promos in WWE history."
24818.03.2024
00:54
[10.0] "Recent history both with WWE and CM Punk (both good and bad) kind of puts this promo at a weird angle for me. But I can't deny how important this promo is in the grand scheme of things, and how much of a big deal it was for someone as easily recognized as Punk to just talk about stuff that was bothering him about the very company he was sitting in the arena of. It elevated the storyline between Punk and Cena, it showed how amazing Punk was on the mic, something he still proves to this day, and did wonders for so many indie talents that were hopeful to once be in a big promotion like WWE, as it paved the way for a change in who are the top guys and reality began bleeding into characters that at the time were so PG stained and unbelievable."

[10.0] "Yes, this promo really isn't that good. But also, it is *that* good. That doesn't make sense, but that's just how much of an anomaly this promo is. It shouldn't be good, it has so many reasons why its not good, but the delivery alone and just how legendary this promo has become, and just how easy it is to reference it with your friends at any time, I have to put it at a 10."
