[10.0] "CM Punk's part about giving an update on his injury was great, but this promo truly shines and wounds up the high score because of Drew McIntyre being utterly sadistic in this promo. Seriously, if WON ever does a "Hater of the Year" type category, Drew would win in a landslide. Watching McIntyre targeting CM Punk's injured arm took me off guard, surprised Punk went along with this. Anyways, McIntyre is doing his best work currently and I'm really looking forward to this feud when Punk comes back."

[10.0] "One of CM Punk's best promos of his return. I'm absolutely loving this run of Drew McIntyre being a delusional heel who thinks he's in the right, watching him and CM Punk going back and forth could end up being feud of the year when CM Punk comes back 100% (hope it's sooner than later). It's nice to see them go back and forth and go over their history together and showcasing that McIntyre does have some logical points behind his contempt with CM Punk, and having Punk taking the high road and leading by example. Side note: When this is all set and done, a CM Punk heel run is gonna feed generations like this McIntyre heel run is doing, might even be better!"

[10.0] "On one end you have a broken, hurt, worried, confused, angered, passionate Punk wondering why he has to go through this all over again, and on the other side you have Drew McIntyre becoming the greatest hater to ever hate. The level of salt between these two when Punk returns will season families' food for generations."

[2.0] "boring, reductive, and lazy. This era of Becky Lynch was the most forced promo in WWE at the time. What did this promo achieve exactly? It was content for the three hour show that needs content and nothing more."

[10.0] "One of CM Punk most passionate, raw, real Promos very emotional with the fact he can't be at WrestleMania XL because of his serve injury, with the emotions he was displaying was very heart aching because this man really gonna have to wait a year to reach his dreams of main eventing a WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre comes out feeling bad for CM Punk then tells him he wanted this to happen was great heel work and add more fuel to his heel heat then attacks CM Punk afterwards which was the cherry on the top. I'm assuming Drew McIntyre is resigning with the company and having his feud with CM Punk later on in the year but this was an excellent segment."

[10.0] "Drew McIntyre, in my opinion, is the best thing going on in sports entertainment/pro wrestling right now. He is well and truly in his hater era and I'm loving it every time I see him. I love how he's taken the generic concept of a heel and spun it, displaying a heel that even though at times is delusional as fuck, but most of times makes a good case for why he's doing what he's doing; hence being a logical and realistic character. This promo with Punk was just excellent, where both men delivered strong chops to each other, without one person feeling inferior to the other. This promo showed how much Drew has evolved in the years. Great stuff."

[8.0] "Drew McIntyre is the best thing going on today in WWE, and probably the best thing since The Bloodline got betrayed by The Usos. The only wrestler aside of Cody Rhodes with a (much better) character arc and development. I was wondering if people could finally see how good Drew was, and it took some catchphrases and standing up against one of the top talkers in the industry for people to realize that. I can't help myself from loving how Punk pretends to be a saint and the nicest dude in the world when he is so full of crap, but I love even more how Drew's character is becoming more and more delusional after suffering big losses but always back his actions and words with the truth. Really great promo right here."

[10.0] "This is the second of the CM Punk return promo trilogy before the Royal Rumble (first being Seth and third being Cody). I loved everything about this and it really didn't need to go that hard. Drew and Punk have long history together but now they are a lot different than they were back then, that was the main point of this promo. I found really cool how they both sat at the corner of the rings and the crowd popped hard for both of them. CM Punk's return run pre-injury/pre-rumble was handled so well and I couldn't have booked it better, this promo was a big reason why. (Hope we also get Punk's Smackdown return promo on cagematch, since it was way better than the Raw one)."

[10.0] "All-timer segment, this was indescribably good, two incredible superstars going after each other on the most brilliant and perfect way possible. I have nothing against Seth and Drew promos against Punk, they were good, but watching this after people saying the exact same thing to Punk over and over felt good, everything in the segment was awesome, you really can tell they reunited and prepared every single thing, every detail, every delivery and camera shot, and this produced magic. I've listened to Jim Cornette reviewing this segment, I disagree with Jim in multiple things but he's a good analyst, and he said this remembered him of the good old Mid-South or Crockett Promotions days, and this is the biggest praise you can get from the man, truly impressive, old-school mentality here, two professionals of the sport, putting the Royal Rumble more over than ever, making the audience feel that they are watching a real thing with real superstars. This was cinema, peak WWE, made me feel things I haven't felt in a long time in wrestling, difficult to tell when they were working and when they were telling the truth. Perfect and meticulous angle."

[9.0] "This was a fantastic segment, everyone was great, specially Rollins, one of his best works in the last good years. Punk made it official he was going to Monday Night RAW, signed the contract, and then proceeded to explain brilliantly why the decision, time and place made so much sense. The city of Cleveland haven't been always nice with him, so it's very poetic that he announces his new brand almost 10 years from the day he walked out at this very same building. Then Seth interrupted him and we had a pretty great moment, the moment we were all waiting for, Punk and Rollins staring down... what a moment, it's a shame the crowd didn't reacted how they should've, that was lame. Seth spoke from the heart, great promo, no flaws, but basically everything he already said to Cody before with a mix of Hangman Page to CM Punk. Nothing revolutionary but well-executed and extremely functional to build the Royal Rumble and their feud. Some people were mad that Punk didn't responded, but I think this was just a tease, more things will come from these two in the future."

[9.0] "Mox goes out and speaks from the heart very much so. From telling the first guy to fuck off and JR saying "well he hasn't changed much", to the way he has the crowd in the palm of his hand as he tells his story, right through to impeccable lines like "I am truly free" and "these days all I drink is blood", it's the start of a fresh, new Jon Moxley who is fully motivated and putting everything behind him to focus on the road ahead. Considering what would follow with Bryan and the BCC, i'd say this is a near-perfect first promo back. 9/10."

[7.0] "It's a bit of a mixed bag as a promo and a feud starter. The main issue is that it feels like they don't really have an idea of where they're starting from. "You can't win the big one" is kind of in tune with a lot of what Eddie has done since getting to AEW by this point, and actually plays into the wider arc of his character throughout his time there even to current day, with his debut coming against Cody for a belt he didn't win, the feud with Mox where Moxley said the same thing about Eddie choking and losing, through to the matches with Bryan and Punk where it's about guys who looked down on him and again he can't quite come out ontop. The issue is that Jericho just can't seem to be concise with what he's saying, he has to make it "I saw something in you and I was right", then it's "I don't give a shit about you and you're jealous", and sure it's the start of a heel turn towards a more conceited and delusional character so I guess that works in some senses, but as a promo it feels disjointed. Eddie isn't on the very top of his game here, I mean this is nothing on the wonderful Punk promo from a few months earlier, but he does kick it up a gear with his final little bit, and remains charming throughout despite never tapping into the incredible stuff you know he could do. I spose that's natural, as this one is a feud starter and not one where Eddie has a storied history with the person involved or one where Eddie is taking the chance to make himself memorable to a new audience. As it stands it's definitely good, and teeters on great towards the end, though a lot of it is held down by a rambly, hard to believe and inconcise character motivation from Jericho. Things would definitely get a lot better though (and a lot worse). 7/10 ish."

[10.0] "This was an amazing promo by Punk. It was so real, so passionate, so intense... An instant classic from Punk. This feus continues elevating Punk to a higher level than any other wrestler on the roster. He is showing all his charisma and what he can do on the mic. It's probably one of his best promos."

[1.0] "If we're being honest, there's probably only, like, 6 people in the history of pro wrestling that could make such a stupid topic and segment into a genuinely good promo. So, while this is horrifically awful, it's not 100% Eli's fault."
22120.02.2024
06:26
[9.0] "Incredible promo, but is there anything more TNA than firing a guy who put his entire life into the company, especially right after giving one of the most heartfelt, genuine, and passionate promos I've ever seen? Nope. Seems like TNA really is back."
22219.02.2024
22:55
[] "I think there'll be some revisionism (there's already been some! ) about the buzz that was truly generated from TNA's rebranding and its time as D'Amore as booker, but nevertheless, this is a pretty good 'rah-rah' promo for the brand. D'Amore gets a nice heartwarming notion about his ties to pro wrestling, and then ties it back to the wrestlers, then the fans of TNA itself."
22319.02.2024
21:26
[10.0] "Absolutely shameful that they canned Scott. This is the type off passion that got people to take TNA seriously again, and the kind of fire that convinces guys like Okada and Ospreay to appear, and Alexander and Grace to stay."
22419.02.2024
17:57
[10.0] "Obnoxious, indignant environmentalist Daniel Bryan is the best version of Bryan Danielson in WWE and you can't change my mind. Unfortunately this promo was just before he introduced his own custom WWE championship belt made of sustainable wood and hemp, which is legit one of the best heel angles ever."
22519.02.2024

[10.0] "This promo had me feeling some type of way. It was one of the most passionate things I've ever heard...and they went and fired this man who gives his life to this company? Gah"

[9.0] "Cody was meandering in his promo which is pretty rare from him however Rollins completely saved it and delivered one of his best promos ever. He referenced the Shield and his past with Roman and pointed out how much the odds were stacked against Cody. He then offered to be in his corner."
22717.02.2024
15:51
[9.0] "Gold. Miz was basically saying what everyone was feeling. Even calling out Cena's "smug smile at the heel" tactic. When I think of his promos, it's this and the big Talking Smack promo that I think of. I bet a lot of fans at the time, who were sick of John Cena and especially Roman Reigns, were very satisfied with this promo."
22817.02.2024
12:40
[6.0] "It was cool, the delivery was great, these whole thing is setting some big fight feelings, but WHAT DOES SETH ROLLINS HAVE TO DO WITH THIS? This is about Cody and Roman (and The Rock), how does Rollins organically fits in this story? He just got here because he, who claims to be the greatest World Champion today with the most relevant title possible had to beg and try to manipulate Cody to challenge him at WrestleMania, which doesn't make any sense unless Seth is very aware that he is the consolation prize Champion. It's going to be big having the two top babyfaces of the company going against the two top heels, but Seth being involved is so forced to not have Cody have to do it alone because it would've make him excessively overbooked."
22916.02.2024
23:17
[7.0] "All the cody crybabies are giving this promo such a downgrade then what it was. Its not the best promo out there but it was entirely fine in its own right, and guess what, Seth wouldve been the better match anyway, he had more of a reason to pick seth after what he said, it wouldve honestly been more true to the story to pick that title, and Rock vs Roman wouldve been better. All you little supposid wresting fans who actually cant look at the big picture think that everything that doesnt suit your little fan boy story line is bad, when yet none of it was till you made it. Thanks for nothing guys."

[10.0] "GREAT promo work by both guys. One of my top 3 Seth Rollins promos along with his first promo since his heel turn in 2014 and his promo with CM Punk just recently. Seth acknowledging his contribution to what Roman Reigns has become of late was very well done, and Cody throwing shade at Dwayne's whole "Cody Crybabies" schtick was pretty nice."
23316.02.2024
04:22
[7.0] "lf this was purely Seth's section, I'd have given this a 9. This perfectly lays out how Rollins will come into play during Mania, and rules out any potential Bloodline interference. Only let down by some overused buzzwords at the end. Cody's Rock callout could've been a lot better though. A tangent about nuggets succeeded in making The Rock look foolish, but wasn't all that funny and took away from the impact of Cody's words on Dwayne at the start. "I'm gonna hit you back" also felt like a weak closer to me, thankfully we had the Seth interruption after."
23416.02.2024
04:17
[9.0] "HBK doing a greatest hits of his heel run is the perfect way to secure heel Melo as best Melo, this was an unbelievable promo that got him so much heat and perfectly lays out each of the seeds planted to set up Melo turning. Adore that Melo was sat on the exact chair he attacked Trick with."
23516.02.2024
04:05
[1.0] "I don't care if it was a work the whole time or not, this makes Cody look so weak and there's no way to explain the "but not at WrestleMania" line that won't feel like a huge backpedal. Embarassing booking, delivered weakly by a guy who's heart clearly isn't in it (and for good reason)."
23616.02.2024
04:03
[10.0] "The breakdown of Damage CTRL has quietly been one of the stronger Smackdown storylines in recent memory and this was the perfect way to bring the tensions to a boil. We all knew who Bayley was challenging after winning the Rumble, and she does it perfectly here, making you feel the sense of betrayal intensely with the way she cracks her voice when talking with Iyo. The reveal that she could speak Japanese was the cherry on top."
23716.02.2024
03:56
[9.0] "Some of the best long term character work and parelleling in the modern professional wrestling industry. Punk listing exactly how Cody's history mirrors his own (and being especially prescient about future events ya can smeeeeellllll) was the perfect way to build animosity between them while leaving an olive branch for their friendship to continue if needs be. Cody held his own against one of the best promo cutters in the game, showing how much he's improved on the mic over time."
23816.02.2024
03:38
[8.0] "If Punk coming back was what it took to make Seth Rollins interesting on the mic again, I'm so glad it happened. A righteously pissed off Rollins manages to seamlessly blend real world drama from that other promotion we can't mention on WWE into his motivation and it makes his promo feel so much more believable. Punk's response was great too, truly living up to his "best in the world" persona by ignoring all the BS and going straight for proving himself in the ring. It's a shame this match likely isn't happening for a while."

[5.0] "Look, CM Punk's delivery can make even these corporate sounding words seem natural, but this was an overlong, rambly diatribe that doesn't read as authentic unless the one of the best talkers in the game is saying them. Thankfully, he was."
24116.02.2024

[8.0] "Absolutely love that Sami took this opportunity to use The Judgement Day's domination of Monday Night Raw as an allegory for a much larger, more sinister real world political force. Subtle enough that you can take it at face value and it'll still be effective, but it's definitely there and makes the promo so much stronger when viewed through that lense. His delivery is excellent, pure passion, and Rhea has great chemistry with him. It's the other two standing there that let this down a bit."
24216.02.2024
02:45
[7.0] "Love this promo conceptually, as an introduction to Lexis King's character it works perfectly in establishing his backstory and motivation. My issues come mainly from delivery, King seems to be putting on an unnatural affected "cool" voice that sounds a little phony to me and takes the impact out of the words he's saying. Other than that, solid work."

[5.0] "It's clear that WWE has effectively synthesized their base to their vision of pro wrestling, which doesn't resonate with my tastes personally, from interviews to matches, to general 'world building.' The content of what Hayes is saying doesn't really do much for me, and I suppose you don't really need anything revolutionary. He's getting his heat, he gets even more with the fake-out a la Shawn Michaels teasing Bret Hart in 2005. It feels inauthentic to me. '[Y]ou're just a trick' as the big line pretty much falls flat to me."

[7.0] "[7.75] In hindsight, this was the segment that set off the entire Bloodline Saga that we're still in the midst of three and a half years later. Although it is obvious now that both men would improve by miles in their mic work in the future, this is still an enjoyable promo that provided much needed build up to their match the next night."

[9.0] "Great promo by Carmelo Hayes. He's never really been anything special on the mic, but here as a new heel to kick off the feud with Trick Williams he showed he has what it takes to become a bigger star. The material isn't anything new, but the delivery and presentation is what makes this work. Melo sitting in the chair he used to destroy Trick's knee was a nice touch. And there was the classic fake out with Trick's music playing. No doubt this is the main storyline in NXT going into Stand & Deliver. 9/10"
25310.02.2024
16:57
[10.0] "Easily his best promo, I love how HBK used his old tactics and did the good ole fake out of the superstar theme hitting, but this is clearly Carmelo Hayes final feud before heading to the main roster, and I cant wait to see what him and Trick Williams do."
25410.02.2024
14:27
[9.0] "I thought it was a fire promo, the only problem I had was that Melo overreacted a little bit. That didn't affect this promo but if some expressions were on point I think it would've been one of the greatest promo ever contenders."
25510.02.2024
12:10
[10.0] "That's some profile name of the guy who transcribed this lmao. But this was a great promo, it sets up Hayes as a prominent heel at the heart of the show, and he killed the part with relative ease. His reasoning was kinda pragmatic in nature, and kept the crowd under the palm of his hand throughout."
25610.02.2024
08:29
[9.0] "I think this is the first promo of the NXT Era to actually feel like some sort of iconic promo. I will admit, I was expecting a lot of predictability from this and it did feel like a greatest hits of "why I did it", but the opening line was a thesis statement. Extra bonus points for saying Trick is up there in the hospital with Booker T who was/is having shoot surgery for a medical procedure "singing that stupid song". I saw it coming from a mile away but I'm just here today saying, maybe this is the first iconic storyline NXT will have since its reboot. Without having to even rely on Black and Gold nostalgia even. Made with two defining faces of the White and Gold/2.0 era."

[0.0] ""I wish you died in the womb" are seven words that should NEVER be said to a family member. EVER. Words like that have led to chronic emotional pain, depression, and in rare cases, suicide. Whoever wrote this script should be fired immediately and never have a career in scriptwriting again. 0/10, this promo, along with this episode of RAW as a whole, is fucking atrocious. They should have cut the feed off from the live broadcast immediately after this promo aired."
25909.02.2024

[0.0] "0/10 promo because no matter what direction they pivot with this story, a babyface giving up his right to a match at Mania with the champ who beat him last year and who his entire story depends on getting the title from is incomprehensible. The only way to make this promo make sense in kayfabe is to pretend it didn't happen. Unsalvageable mess and makes all the main event scene look like a joke."

[10.0] "Fantastic promo! The fake out with Bret Hart's music was fantastic and he kinda proved his point on Hogan when he played the same trick with him. One of the funniest promo I have ever seen, and a promo definitely in the "Hall of Fame for promos", alongside Zandig's "JEEEEEEZUS" promo"

[1.0] "Why ? There's so much to say but I think anyone who has rated this promo has said everything. You have your most over babyface, who litterally won his ticket to the main event of Wrestlemania and who pointed at Roman Reigns right after winning the Rumble match, and you make him step aside ? Is this really how you take everything to someone ? And Dwayne, oh Dwayne, I have sooooo much to say about you but my account is still fresh and I don't feel losing it already. This man is an egomaniac who thinks his help is needed to "save" Wrestlemania. But Dwayne, there's nothing to save, both nights are full, you are just there to take all the spotlight because your movies are flopping hard. Are you gonna save Wrestlemania like you saved the DCEU ? And what are you gonna do ? Use a clause in your contract that said you can't lose any fight because you need to feel strong ? To me, and to a lot of fan, you did not save Wrestlemania. You dug a little bit more the grave of your legacy. That's all you did."

[2.0] "That's just bad. It was at best "Meh" at the beginning, but I am sorry, the fake guitar bit made me cringe hard. I'd like to think this is because japanese people are far more reserved and I am pretty sure this promo would have been better anywhere else. However, it happened there, therefore I can't give more than 2/10. If you see that your promo doesn't connect, just stop and do something else instead of going on."

It's a man with no filter on the microphone doing what he does best; over explaining and going off topic and I mean that in the highest praise."

[1.0] "Giving this one point just for the potential of creating a Daniel Bryan-type of situation, and because the delivery and performance from both superstars is top notch (per usual) but regardless, I think the WWE is going about this in the wrong way. This title is clearly the title that Cody wants to win, so why make it that much more complicated? Why bury the legitimacy of the only other big title in the company? And why have Cody win the Rumble at all if he was going to "willingly give-up" his ability to choose Roman Reigns as his opponent? This entire debacle stinks of Hollywood Superstar entitlement- of which the Rock has in abundance. Cool, let's give the famous new board member his own title shot. What an insult to Cody's ability and talent as the top babyface of the company, and what a spit in the face to every fan that wants to see him succeed. I'm not even saying a Rock vs. Roman match wouldn't be good (I don't want to see it, but I understand some people do)- but make it a separate matter, a separate Head of the Table match or something. Tone-deaf and despicable, even if a work."

[8.0] "Fantastic promo. While the buildup to this has been almost excruciating, the payoff, this climactic moment, is only going to be topped by Bayley's eventual win at Wrestlemania (I hope! ). Very 2005 Batista, which I don't mind- if a story thread is good, it's good. Don't fix what's not broke, you know? When she revealed that she also speaks Japanese was such a great moment, and great storytelling all around. My only wish is that we got to see Bayley struggling with the knowledge that Damage CTRL holds great disdain for her a little more before this promo, but the promo itself is still excellent."

Roman burying the title Rollins has is hilarious because nobody respects it but that dork but oh buddy what comes next is crazy. To have your top babyface basically come out and say "I'm just a big bitch and I know I cant do it right now" AND THEN TO HAVE THE FUCKING ROCK come in and get the spot he's been working all year to get back to from him? All time shit. This company rules"

[0.0] "This is insulting in several ways, first we have Roman Reigns burying Seth Rollins' brilliant work and effort over the last few months in making the new WHC something prestigious. Then comes the really revolting part, the biggest babyface in the company in the last 10 years (since D Bryan) giving up his title shot to a part-timer who hasn't had a real match since 2013. They managed to bury Cody, the Royal Rumble and even The Rock (who comes with a very Hulk Hogan vibe). My biggest problem is not seeing Roman vs. Rock (it's going to be a mediocre match at best), but not seeing Cody win the title his father didn't win. Why didn't they give the title to Randy at RR? The Rock will manage to ruin his legacy with this rubbish after stealing the spotlight from two great wrestlers. And to make matters worse, WWE definitely doesn't know how to build stars without becoming part-timers anymore. Every WM since 2012 has had a part-timer in the ME. And in the end this will be worse because unfortunately casuals will buy this PPV in droves to see this crap and here we go for another eternity with the most overrated superstar of the century with the main title"

Seriously, how do you build your biggest storyline active for two whole years, makes the fans wait, pinch hints of the future conclusion and then throw a Hollywood megastar into the mix just because? This is utter disrespect to anyone who watches the product, be it a casual or a hardcore fan, and especially to Cody Rhodes, who literally just signed with WWE to win the titles at the Main Event of WrestleMania. This whole segment was just an abomination, Cody looks like a real loser and like he's about to burst into tears all the time, and the fact that he HANDLED his WrestleMania to Dwayne after pointing and yelling at Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble makes all of this even more dense and a bad joke."

[8.0] "Poor Bayley, having her WrestleMania storyline (and resultant moments) being overshadowed by Dwayne instead in synergy with everyone else. Whilst, let's be honest, it was a rehash of Batista's wordless face turn from the WrestleMania 21 build, Bayley and the rest of the women really made it look incredibly fresh. If it wasn't for what happened later in the night, everybody would be raving about this, but like I said, poor Bayley."

Rhodes starts his promo strong. Once he starts talking about what finishing the story was I realized what was happening. Disagree with the decision as the story just doesn't make sense but the crowd loved the Rock's return. Tough to judge because it was a well delivered promo but the story doesn't make sense."

[6.0] "The story went the right direction, and despite the lame and cringy stages like the feud against Shotzi, there was a constant build-up that led into this the right way. My only problem with this is I felt the betrayal so rushed. One week before this Bayley was all focused on challenging Rhea Ripley after winning the Rumble and she was about to do that on RAW before Nia Jax attacked Rhea and threatened Bayley. Maybe it's just me, but I needed to see Bayley being more aware of the true feelings of the rest of Damage CTRL before this, it all went too fast. The segment itself was good and, along with the Rumble victory, it gave Bayley an aura she lacked for a very long time. Io sold well her heel character and the Kabuki Warriors were on point as the henchwomen of the Champion. Just needed Bayley being more aware of the situation before finally turning face, but everything else was nicely done and it's helping Bayley a lot to regain that big status she once had."

[9.0] "Roman Reigns' promo was excellent and Cody handled it about as well as he could have. As much as it sucks to see Cody lose his spot and The Rock steal yet another Mania Main Event, this isn't new behavior from him. He did it at WM28 and WM29 and he's doing it again now at WM40. Having said that, this is the biggest match WWE can do and it is sure to draw the most money. Which at the end of the day, is more important than anyone's story"

[9.0] "First of all, a HUGe thank you to the Cagematch Team for adding this promo. I'm so happy there is now a space for discussion revolving around this killer segment because it has been completely looked over by most users in the event page. Arguably the best and most important face turn in WWE history for the women and it gets overshadowed by Dwayne pulling a Hulk Hogan. You have one of the longest simmering storylines (in recent memory) of a slow burn of Damage CTRL slowly turning their back on their leader Bayley, someone who hasn't been a face in over 4 years, and instead of Bayley getting the props she deserves for getting us to the finish line of this arc, all people want to talk about is one of the most poorly-executed bewildering segments to end what was going to be a great show. Bayley and Iyo hit all of the beats with how well they sold it not only in the delivery of their lines but in the non-verbal cues as well. She reminded us that as refreshing and fun her heel run has been, she is better than any woman in the history of this business when it comes to pulling your heartstrings and making you root for her against all odds as a babyface. Her puppyeyes when she caught them backstage was the most heartbreaking moment I've experienced in a storyline. The way her voice cracked as if she was on the verge of tearing up while confronting Iyo instantly grabbed the hearts of the crowd leading to loud Bayley chants. All this, while effectively showing that she has retained the lessons and skills of the 'heel Bayley', that although she is back to being a beloved babyface, she is no longer that Hugger girl with ponytails who wouldn't have been able to outsmart her would-be backstabbers by picking up Japanese or quickly hiding a pipe to defend herself. This is a new Bayley - no longer the naive underdog but a hardened veteran that still has the same soft spot now on the inside that made her so loveable when she first arrived on NXT. Excellent character work from Bayley with one of the most organic face turns, which is very difficult for a heel to pull off. They essentially did a Reverse Batista without it feeling contrived. Beautiful callbacks to Bayley and Iyo wearing the same attires when they debuted as Damage CTRL at SummerSlam. Without beating it over the head, it becomes clear upon reading between the lines that since Bayley separated from her former best friend Sasha Banks and got put on the shelf for a year, all she has wanted ever since is companionship and friendship. And when you realize that friendship was the underlying reason behind recruiting Iyo and Dakota from outside the company to form Damage CTRL, you are hit with the painful devastation of this betrayal. It's called Damage CTRL because this was her way of keeping in control the damage she had caused to her broken heart with her past mistakes. It was her way of coping with how the world treated her. And now that those same people she considered to be her support system no longer want her, it is time to rip the bandaid off and start anew. With her Royal Rumble win and this promo, Bayley is arguably on the cusp of the hottest run in her career and will be as over with the fans as her NXT run, only difference being she's now a babyface with grit and an edge. Her character development over the past few years has been fantastic and she has once again shown why she's the most underrated promo in women's wrestling. With one segment Bayley got more over than she ever has in over 6 years and that is a testament to why Bayley has a seat in the table amongst the all-time greats."

[8.0] "This was a really good segment. Damage CTRL has had its ups and (mostly) downs since forming at SummerSlam 2022. With IYO as one of the champions, the Kabuki Warriors as the the tag team champions, and Bayley winning the Royal Rumble, it would make sense for her to challenge Rhea so they could have all the gold. But Asuka and Kairi since joining Damage CTRL have had open disdain for Bayley, in the process turning IYO against her as well. During the promo, the three of them were constantly laughing and making a mockery of what Bayley was saying. That is until Bayley reveals she knows some Japanese and confronts them about their behavior. Bayley made a good point about her and IYO being close before being attacked by Asuka and Kairi. During the beatdown, IYO was cheering them on but never got involved directly. Bayley challenging IYO for WrestleMania made sense after everything that happened, and there should be enough material to have some interesting twists and turns in the story. 8/10"

[9.0] "Thanks to Dwayne The CockBlock Johnson, this absolute banger of a segment has been completely overshadowed. Bayley as an Uber-Karen heel leading a stable of evil chick wrestlers while constantly shouting over Michael Cole has been great stuff, but her evolution back into a face, genuinely hurt and betrayed by her friends whose been burying her behind her back for weeks, feels completely natural and Bayleys ability to always shine as a baby face no matter what is a welcome breath of fresh air. It serves as a perfect contrast to Batistas turning on Evolution, as the Animal outgrew the stable where as here, the opposite is true and Damage CTRL has resolutely left their former leader behind. Bayley and the rest of Damage CTRL deserve all the props in the world for making this angle work."

The Damage Ctrl blow up has been coming for a while and I liked Bayley knowing and understanding that Damage Ctrl was making fun of her behind her back and finally doing something about it with her Rumble win. Also thought it was smart that Bayley had the hidden pipe."

[4.0] "Despite being on the roster for over a decade, Bayley still doesn't have a lot of confidence in her delivery, almost flubs a few lines, and a lot of this felt like someone reading from a script. The latter portion with Bayley getting emotional felt like bad soap opera acting. I did like the bit about Bayley having a pipe under the ring though, which shows that her character is smart and had enough foresight to predict the turn."

What's the logic behind it, Cody wins the rumble, Cody points at Roman for his opponent choice at Wrestlemania, and then Cody explains The Rock will face Roman? Why? Now we knew the Rock would be involved in someway, but why on earth does it have to take away from Cody's sportlight? It ruins Cody's whole image, I'm very curious what they're going to say? 2 low-end part-timers being the main event of wrestlemania, oh great."

[0.0] "Listen, I'm not going to come on here and give a zero to a promo that so effectively kills a company's biggest babyface and his literally week go rocket strap push with a back to back rumble win, something last done by arguably the company's biggest star ever, a promo that buries the other champ's entire reign because he's not Roman and has some injury issues, a promo that also buries the other championship that was made because no one could beat Roman, a promo that kills 2 years of build towards an all time great Mania moment, a promo that ends with a staredown we wanna see but not at this moment at all. I'm giving it a zero because of all those things Roman said was amazing heat generating and what he does best now, but the fact that they not only had Cody come out and basically shoot his entire build in the foot, but also had the audacity to act like this was what everyone wanted in the first place, and don't get me wrong we all might have egg on our face if they throw Cody into the match but we already had that kind of story 10 years ago with DB at Mania XXX. Just do the match and do Rock vs Roman at Summerslam I beg you I beg you."

However, Cody comes out and delivers a complete wet fart of a promo and ruins all his credibility as a baby face and his momentum over the past 2 years since coming back to WWE. The Rock came out and just stared at Roman."

[0.0] "It's not that difficult to name a few different ways WWE could go instead of this. I was indifferent to the idea of setting up Rock vs Reigns, but now I'm absolutely against it. Why is The Rock so adamant on having this match at Wrestlemania not in Arabia or even Summerslam? It's the worst time ever for this. The segment was also terribly written. How could they make Rhodes say this "I'm coming for you, but not at Wrestlemania" bullcrap and hand over his long-awaited rematch to well past his prime, 51 year old Dwayne Johnson who I'm sure won't have a memorable match at this point. Not only that, but Rock vs Reigns would mean that Roman is going to be a champ even longer, because obviously Rock isn't going to dethrone him. Even it that happens, that would mean another part time world championship reign on a brand that needs a full time world champion. Roman's title reign got unbearable after WM 38, so what can I say about it in this very moment? WWE is about to make it official, I really hope for their change of heart...or at least make it a triple threat match, but it's not a satisfying option either. Horribly done. Freaking pointless crap"

[2.0] "In the moment WWE's plans for big matches at WrestleMania are thrown away because of some injury they do the biggest and stinkiest piece of shit booking possible. The good part for them is that shit is made of gold and is going to make them a lot of money and that's the only thing that matters, sadly. Remember the whole Universal / WWE Title unification? We wouldn't have that if they didn't put the WWE Title on Brock Lesnar because Roman got COVID. Now, because CM Punk got injured and the anticipated match against Seth Rollins is not going to happen they made up this whole crap of Rollins trying to manipulate Cody to challenge him and then this whole nonsense of a segment all to make the 51 year old guy who hasn't wrestled an actual match in nearly 11 years and is sweating like a pig and losing his breath after five minutes wrestle his cousin for the Title in the biggest match of the year because he is The Rock and his cousin is the overbooked Champion Roman Reigns. It's so curious how 10 years later we are again in that place where the designated challenger for the Title is booed to hell and the man that should be challenging for it is getting social media campaigns to put him in that match. The Rock is the new Batista and Cody is the new Bryan Danielson, but if the people don't fight as hard as they did back in the day, they're not going to change a damn thing. Not giving this promo a 0 because before Cody said he wasn't coming for Roman at WrestleMania the promo was being good and made sense. The Story is not becoming World Champion. The Story was winning the WWE Title, the title his father never had. And let's be serious, what's better? Becoming the second Champion of the workhorse title its champion desperately tries to make relevant by his words and by emotionally blackmail Cody into challenging him? Or be the one to end the reign of terror and be the Champion Roman Reigns will never be? What a lot of crap. Roman Reigns part before Cody entered was also pretty good, as he made a lot of good points, whether we like it or not."

Roman doing his Tribal Chief thing is still fun camp even if the content of it isn't A-grade. But after that, everything falls off a cliff. Absolutely tone-deaf, this is the lowest creative point for a main storyline."
