"Largest grossing champion in the history of the business"
Date:
04.05.2006
Nash: “I’ve seen Sting come back, I’ve seen Steiner come back and my phone hasn’t… my phone does ring, you can see that obviously it works but nobody from TNA has contacted me.”

Shelley: “Well, that’s got to make you feel pretty mad because you know that these guys are your colleagues, you know…”
Nash: “… and and they’re substantially underneath my stature.”

[Schnitt]

Nash: “I can talk about this all day but I’m thinking sometimes a picture says a thousand words. And what I basically did here was: I constructed a graph.”

[Nash enthüllt ein selbst gezeichnetes Diagramm, auf dem festgehalten ist, wie viel die Topstars der WWF in den Neunzigern der Liga nach seiner Rechnung einbrachten.]

Shelley: “Wow!”
Nash: “It starts in 1993 you see, with Hogan and what he drew that year which was after… this is all profits of course. Profits of the WWF at that time was 20 million. Bret Hart took over – 17 million. Nash as the Diesel character well over a hundred million dollars – and that’s without my merchandise.”

Shelley: “Yeah, huge spike in profits there, huge spike.”
Nash: “Yeah, largest grossing champion in the history of the business – including merchandise, merchandise would be a separate chart. Of course Austin: A great run, nearly up there with my run - but nowhere close. And then of course the drastic drop with The Rock there after the Austin era. In a nutshell, that kinda shows where the business has went. Of course at this time right here the nWo spiked with me - surpassed all this into 300 million dollars.”

Shelley: “So really, you just took your spike at the WWF…”
Nash: “… and moved it.”

Shelley: “Yeah, just moved it to the WCW and spiked them, too. Wow, that’s a lot of spiking.”
Nash: “Imagine with me on Spike (TV)”

[Schnitt]

Nash: “I’m not gonna tout my own horn here: Great worker, incredible mic skills, probably one of the most handsome guys ever to wrestle, great physique, stayed in shape my entire career - drug free!”

Shelley: “Yeah, pure champion.”
Nash: “Pure champion!”

Shelley: “A lot like the X-Division, huh?”

[Schnitt]

Nash: “I think the X-Division has some good little guys who go out there and give you a good little match… ya know, I mean it’s basically filler…”
