813.03.2024thewanderergraves9.0DDP is really special, a guy who came in as a manager and at the age of 35 he became an in ring performer. He was a step behind from everyone but he had a damn necessary quality to break in. Dedication. He became a World Champion. He inspired many others and now he is saving lives. Sometimes i say as humanity we do not deserve someone as good as Diamond Dallas Page.

1007.03.2024mizzysha9.0DDP is probably one of the most interesting wrestlers of all time. Spent much of his early career as an extremely punchable heel and decent mid-carder...then 1997 comes around and he ends up everyone's favorite wrestler in one fell swoop with a monumental face turn by rebelling against Hall and Nash. DDP being such a punk fit so perfectly in the nWo era that he had no choice but to become a massive star. He backed up his newfound glory with a notable uptick in his ring skills and I would argue he became the most consistently good wrestler in the entire company not including the midcard legends like Mysterio and Guerrero. Sucks that WWE burying him + an injury put him out in the early 2000's, I think if he stuck around a little while longer he would have been a great fit for a more low-key company like TNA.

2222.11.2023crs2859.0DDP started as a manager who became a main eventer. His in-ring work was good but a little behind some of his peers. His work on the mic was amazing and he had the charisma that made people love him. WWE decided to book him the worst way they could. After wrestling he has saved the lives of several other wrestlers with DDP yoga showing how good a person he is.
2317.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster12038.0At one point, Diamond Dallas Page was among the most over babyfaces of his time, and there's a good reason why. The Diamond Cutter is one of the coolest finishers, he was very organic as a good guy, a good wrestler, and he was able to carry Goldberg in his best match he's ever had. The less said about his WWE run, the better.

2611.10.2023Retro Ricky8.0A great, charismatic talker and hard worker who bloomed as a main eventer in the best years of WCW Nitro. In some ways, he epitomizes the risk of the heavy gimmick, stuck behind a highly exaggerated persona for years until he finally had the confidence to simplify his act and be himself. As a scrappy, salt of the earth kind of guy he was hugely likable. The sudden, match-winning impact of the Diamond Cutter meant that fans could stay with him through terrible beatings, and the NWO storyline gave him a real chance to shine More bookers need to look back at DDP and think about what a difference a protected finisher can make.

3903.06.2023Giantfan19808.0DDP was on the same level as Austin in the WWF during the 1997-1998 WCW period. Then he came to the WWF and they just mercilessly buried him before an injury put him out in 2002. DDP found new life helping people who have/had given up hope and that's worth more than imaginary championships!

4217.05.2023Conquistador3710.0There's so much to enjoy over all of the years Page was in the biz, only the WWF/E run does not come with a recommendation. I loved Badd Company in the AWA, he was a perfect brash overbearing mouth piece. I liked the same character as a manager for The Fabulous Freebirds. I loved The Diamond Mine stable (the Diamond Dolls was such a great touch) and the Diamond Studd character that he created was great (it was the demo version of Razor Ramon). Slowly coming up in the ranks of WCW's undercard was really fun, at that point in time it's exactly where he belonged and he made for a good watchable product. Was all over WCW Saturday Night and the team with Vinnie Vegas as The Vegas Connection very much so WORKED. The story of "losing everything" was fun and he really did look like a bum there for a quick minute. Was THE PEOPLE'S CHAMPION long before the Rock was dubbed the same. Lit late 90's WCW on FIRE and was one of the true leading reasons why the company was so hot during that timeframe. Hard working and probably the definitive OVER ACHIEVER outside of Mick Foley. This guy, THIS GUY! and his DDP yoga, even outside of wrestling we have nothing but a gem....I can keep going with the glowing, this guy could work well with pretty much anyone and excelled with most. Fantastic seller, great body language and tippy top tier crowd connectivity.
4316.05.2023CMFunk0078.0When Diamond Dallas Page showed up in the AWA as a manager, I thought he was obnoxious. Then, he started wrestling in WCW and I still found him obnoxious for several more years until 1997, when he diamond cut Scott Hall and Kevin Nash and rejected the invitation to join the nWo. From then on, he was a favorite. His run in the WWF was disappointing, to say the least. Why they had him stalking Undertaker's wife when he had Kimberly at home. I would've had Undertaker stalking Kimberly instead. Truthfully, though, there would've been no stalking. Either way, while in WCW, DDP was over like rover and he became the underdog of the people, behind only Luger and Sting in the heirarchy.

5602.01.2023DanTalksRasslin10.0It can certainly be said that DDP made his own way in the wrestling business. After a good run as a manager in AWA, he began training for active competition at age 35, a point where many wrestlers are already starting to eye retirement. Despite his age, he grew quickly into a reliable in-ring performer with a great deal of natural charisma. Early on he continued his heel persona from his AWA days, but after turning face his everyman persona, charisma and mastery of his Diamond Cutter finisher skyrocketed his popularity with the fans. He especially excelled in the role of the babyface fighting from underneath, making you root for him against all odds. Had a phenomenal feud with "Macho Man" Randy Savage and later gave Goldberg his career-best match. After WCW, his WWE run was marred by being given a poor character and being poorly booked and injuries soon led to his career winding down, but he was "my guy" among the top WCW babyfaces and remains one of my favorite wrestlers of the "Monday Night Wars" era. Now known for his yoga program, which I can say from personal experience is the real deal.

6226.10.2022MainEventMaster8.0Fuck Vince for not seeing anything in him. One of the most popular wrestler that was in WCW, a great inspirational wrestler too. Also fuck the other Vince for that divorce and Arquette storylines. He got no thanks from anyone for his great work. Also an unbelievably great human being.
6319.10.2022Spanky6.0I have never really thought of DDP as a particularly great wrestler. He is well known for scripting out all of his matches beforehand in an era when many wrestlers still called it in the ring. In that regard, DDP was revolutionary Haha. What DDP did have was amazing star-making charisma that can't really be taught. I like DDP a lot more for what he does outside the squared circle.

6723.09.2022Flame2338.0This guy is a perfect example, that wrestling is not just fighting, and talking, although I find him decent in both. The ultimate underdog. This guy shines for his work backstage, outside the ring. He saves lives, cares for health of the others. He pulled Jake Roberts and Scott Hall out of very dark places. He really loved what he did, and I think most of us loved/loves him. He deserves his HoF spot, like none other.

6929.08.2022sbg20228.0DDP is the perfect example of a guy who was thrown to the WWF wolves after WCW closed down. I truly believe that he was never the same after he came to the WWF in 2001. He just never found that same niche that he had in WCW. That's undoubtedly no fault of his own though.

7224.07.2022Leth997.0He saved a lot of lives. For that, I respect him. For what he gave to Jake Roberts and Scott Hall especially. In WCW he was a really great wrestler for his age. In TNA he was so good even at 49. In WWF he was thrown to the wall and then killed off

7605.06.2022texasyosh8.0DDP was a fan who became a pretty good wrestler waaaaay past the age you're supposed to. Great look and great charisma, and having some pretty good matches to boot. His feud with Randy Savage is good. One of the few guys in late 90s WCW to break the glass ceiling. He was past his prime in WWF and was booked poorly, and his brief stuff in TNA is unremarkable.

7815.05.2022coppercowries8.0I loved DDP in WCW so much, he was a dependable performer and a bright light whenever he appeared. I don't blame him for the nonsense of WWE destroying him creatively, he did what he could with such bollocks. Plus an extra point because he's just a stand up dude.

8526.11.2021Pandevmonium2.0Nothing from him could never really interest me in-ring. His TV matches are always more or less a series of moves from both wrestlers, then he picks up a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere and it's 1, 2, 3. Pretty boring to be honest, so I could never really stand for him even if his charisma is above average for sure.
8612.11.2021Jaedynr59.0the DDP n WCW was a legend, he was a great wrestler with awesome matches and he was the man who dragged a good match out Goldberg, WWE DDP was less goated but he was still good with the motivational gimmick, TNA DDP was pretty underrated, he could still put on gret matches and he had charisma, and the one AEW match he had was still good.
8705.10.2021Pete Gallows9.0Ddp was great in wcw, wwf of course killed him, because why wouldn t they. Turning him into a stalker, that stalks undertaker? s unattractive wife that nobody knew or cared about, because thats what you do with a guy that was as over as he was before. He started late but really worked hard and improved so much in just a few short years. His 96 and 98 is so so different. The Diamond cutter is my most favourite finisher of all time, even over Stone Cold Stunner, because of all the different ways he was able to perform the move. Nowadays cutter is just nothing, just like todays wrestling as a whole. Ddp to this day is a very good self promoter, he got the right friends but he got himself over through hard work and innovative skills. The look, the diamond cutter, the diamond hand sign, the catch phrases, his yoga these days - the guy just wont stay still and you cant keep him from evolving. He wasnt my personal favourite wrestler, I dont think he would make my top 10 list, but I admire his hard work and he made himself so important during his era. So many tshirts and diamond hand signs in the crowds, he really elevated himself and deserved much better from wwe. Two stupid gimmicks and stupid looks a european title and a tag title, if I remember correctly. Could have been a peoples champs vs peoples champ program, or let him wrestle Benoit again, instead he got 5 minute nonsensical matches in between pillow fights and midget hermaphrodites dancing, or whatever wwf was doing at that time.

9217.08.2021WhatTheHeckles10.0A very dependable worker great wrestler, and stellar manager, DDP is not only a great wrestler, but a life-saver as well. He singlehandedly saved the lives of men like Jake Roberts and Scott Hall, and it feels good knowing there is someone in his position that is willing to help others out purely out of the goodness of his heart and not because he wants to put himself over.
